This might sound weird but I think the Three Jokers things would totally work for the DCAU. Joker from TAS seasons 1-3 is very mobster-like and meets his end in the _Mask of the Phantasm_ movie. TAS s4 Joker always seems to need money and does very outlandish super-crimes but still dies in the _World's Finest_ movie. And the Joker the JLU is very brutal and no nonsense, absolutely wanting Batman dead and broken before being killed off after breaking poor Robin. It's a stretch but I think it works very well here.

Honestly I think 3 jokers is a good story the problem I have with it is well this story was supposed to be in the main continuity but now I am confused as to where it takes place and plus having this story get delayed didn’t help things either but that’s just my opinion.

My theory is that there were 4 Jokers, but when one of them came up with the 'diabolical' plan to copy-write fish, they kicked him out. And that was _actually_ who was on that park bench with amnesiac Bruce.

I wanted/expected two of the three jokers to be like powergirl, leftovers from a crisis. I assumed it was golden age, silver age, and modern. and like Dan said each had no idea of the other and went to war over way to be joker.

Jason got the worst experience of his life brought back to him, and the Jokers are diving into Thomas and Martha Wayne’s murder. I feel like the second comic could’ve ended with Barbra some how getting hurt in a way that may prevent her from walking. Or something like that. But this comic is pretty cool

Dan's idea of the 3 Jokers is pretty interesting actually. 3 Jokers not knowing who they are adds more unpredictability to the Joker's psyche.

I'd go with a simplified version of Benny's story. Joker remembers his Pre-Flashpoint and Pre-Crisis incarnations and they continue to exist in his mind. I'm not sure if I'd even separate them.

For the 3 Jokers I would reveal that the Dinasium had grown Jokers from dismembered parts of himself & none of the 3 knew who was the original.

Okay think about this In a black label book totally noncanon In the last few pages A member of the bat family ask Bruce why he never just kill the Joker and end all the suffering and pain Batman look at them and walk away Moments later he enter the batcave. Make sure you one is around not even alfred. Batman put in a code into the batcomputer and a door open up reliving a secret room or a staircase open up that lead to a secret basement. Batman enter and the first thing we see is a room full of dead jokers body after body all atop of each other. And batman said to himself. I do but they just keep on coming (it a black label so you can throw in a cuss word if you)

My origin for the Joker would be as follows. The Joker was brought up in a home in which he was given anything and everything that he wanted. The parents allowed him to watch slasher films at the age of eight and they shielded him from all perceived persecutions that they thought society was handing down to their little angel. Why, our son would never do that! It's the teacher's fault he got an F! He's just expressing himself when he kills animals! He'll grow out of it! And then, one day, the parents realized that they had made a horrible mistake in how they reared their son and that was when their precious child pulled out a gun and shot his own parents and then went on a killing spree and thus, the Joker was born.

I personally like the Joker being a normal guy once then became the joker because it fits with the Batman mythos of Batman suffered a tragedy and becomes Batman so no one else faces the same fate. If you make Joker immortal then to me ruins the whole point of Joker being Batman's archnemesis because to me the joker was once human then faced a tragedy but went the opposite of Batman and became a villain and believes that life is a punchline and always tries to prove that to Batman and everyone else regardless of how Joker acts and what he does while still keeping his origin a mystery.

I wrote an article for Cracked few years back that predicted that the Joker has been Thomas Wayne Jr. all these years. Then the movie came out and gave the idea even more legs.

Make the Silver Age Joker a mischievous atompunk caper thief and prankster, who tries to copyright smiling fish--or better yet, a psychedelipunk Bond villain in a purple Nehru jacket and long hair, complete with volcano base and orbital death rays. Put the Jack Nicholson/Dark Age Joker in a purple Miami Vice suit, with the chemical origin, Harley Quinn in her original jester costume and Joker gadgets and the contemporary Phoenix Joker in a red Miami Vice suit and clown makeup, with his abusive movie origin, cult of personality, nootropic drug-induced super intelligence at Arkham and Joker gadgets. Modern Age Leto Joker dates Modern Age movie Harley Quinn, has the iconic purple suit, but muscles and Evil Clown gang tattoos and has automatic and Joker weapons and SWAT-like paramilitary evil minions.

How id fix the 3 jokers:(In continuity between City of bane and joker War) 1-Id use the Batman beyond concept that early in the jokers run he'd been implanting cops into random members of Gotham and its really random (poor, rich, black , white, middle age, young, old). 2- Each time the Batman setups joker and puts him in the asylum or he escapes after a mission another cop is activated and another joker is set into motion the previous joker is then killed and body burned into ash so that Batman finds no evidence. 3- This process is continued with no one knowing because the chip is untraceable and the joker imprint is always the same making them indistinguishable. 4- Every new joker chip has data from the a previous chip uploaded so he keeps all the memories. 5- You find out that the criminal joker is actually the oldest joker has a plan involves needing 2 more jokers so he activates them he does this just as Batman ask the identity of the joker that's why the chair ask which one?. 6- To end this id have Batman stop the criminal jokers plan which is to recreate the scenario he heard about from the dark multiverse version of him did which created the Batman who laughs. 7- This joker is killed by redhood which releases a strain of joker toxin but does not infect Batman. 8- In the epilogue we find out the toxin spread to homeless man and it activates his joker chip he them becomes the joker and laughs. Batman furious tells Jason that his worse fear may come true that killing joker will only lead to Gotham sending him something worse and we see this new joker holding a picture a schematic of the suit that's introduced in batman #99 at the end.

I would like to have read Saw inspired story where each Joker would have died by the hand of Red Hood, Batgirl and Batman. Each scenario would have been an entrapment that messes with psychologically, emotionally and tests their character. It reveals the influence that the Joker has had over the years. It would lead to a conclusion where each hero would hang up their cowl.

I think one way to fix it is to make it a stand alone story separate from the main continuity. I like it the way it is, it's more grounded. I think Batman fits better in a street level world. It's a shame it's only 3 issues. I would like to read it for longer.

The thing that bothers me is this was brought up in the DC Rebirth one-shot but now the Three Jokers is in Black Label continuity? Then what’s the fucking point? The implications of this story don’t mean anything and won’t be followed up.

DC & Marvel are both a mess. I was so bummed when the new Fantastic Four kept getting delayed a few years back. And DC dropping the ball w 3 Jokers or changing up Nightwing in the middle of his arc with the headshot thing was so annoying. Plus all the layoffs on both sides.

The more human joker is interesting as an opposite and parallel to batman because they are both created the same way. one bad day changed everything joker went insane for what ever reason and batman became batman when his parents were killed in front of him. same kind of origin opposite reactions. this is what the entire dynamic between these to characters is based on.
