You theoretically only need 25 farm plots. The seed extractor or whatever it's called uses 1 crop to make 5 seeds so if you have 5 crops you get 25 seed meaning 20 crops to package up for the trader or use as food and 5 to replenish your seeds.
The garden plots do not drop seeds so you can run out of seed if that is your only way of growing stuff. I tend to plant a few small crop plots on an island kill the 3 or 4 tote bots and odd haybot just to make extra seed. Don't rely on the sails Wind is not always useful. Also you will get the propellers soon enough. Have fun Cheers
I modded the night-cycle so that dusk starts at 23:30. It's fully dark at midnight and it's bright again at 00:30. That way you can still have an idea of the passage of time, but you can actually see what's going on 95% of the time. I'd be happy to send you the modded file or instructions to do it yourself, you only have to replace 1 line of code in survival/scripts/game/survival_constants lua I haven't figured out how to change the light intensity of night, I didn't understand that piece of the code.
Glad to see you've accepted Raft Mechanic into your life. I'm pretty glad that nobody I watch has gotten that far in this mod. I still want to not see any spoilers.
@@theplayer4664 Last time I played my world I left after I setup a farm on the fruit packing station. I don't think I'm spoiling anything by saying that.
Too make the raft lighter, replace some of the raft bases with blocks. Too make it even lighter still remove every second block from every second line.
No night in SM is literally */day* or */timeprogress false* if you have dev mode enabled. No mods required! You can also set time of the day with */timeofday 0-1* where the number can be a decimal and 0.5 is mid-day, as well as get the day/night cycle back with */timeprogress true*
yeah they aim themselves to the next waypoint (doesnt matter if you didnt turn the waypoint on, also the sails go straight so if you turn like 45 degrees to the side youre still going that way but slower)
MM idea everyone has to make a track and a theme for that track so there are 3 rounds at least and everyone has to build something in 15 to 30 minutes for that track but you cannot use the same vehicle for other tracks and they race but the maker of the track cannot put a shortcut that the others dont know about.(doesn`t necessarily have to be a track it can even just be a tile to race or battle on)
SPOILER: next is a trader which gives you propellers and wants you to bring some food crates to him and gives you the location for those packaging stations (only one of them)
Is there a way to get/make some sort of propulsion system for the raft or are you guys just gonna hit it to get around. I know there's thrusters but those are fuel expensive.
it does i played raft mechanic a bit and the shark does attack blocks in the water, no he doesnt attack from the bottom unless he glitches under somehow (also raft mechanic is still early so there is a glitch that causes 5 sharks to spawn sometimes)
@@theplayer4664 Does it damage 1 block of wood at a time instead of an entire raft piece? In that case just 2 layers of wood would give you a pretty good buffer.
@@OttosTheName it does but the shark has a lot of dmg so bubble blocks (i used them for collecting stuff) are destroyed in like 2 bites but yes he does only attack single blocks oh and another way to do it: outrun the shark, if he cant destroy the block hes biting before it gets out of range (about 3 blocks) he will swim away from the place he stopped to bite at, after about 2 seconds, and he wont swim to another block to destroy it, i saw it happen i used propellers (the propellers are very strong cos i used the bigger ones)
see there is no nighttime the scrap mechanic planet is actually tidally locked to the star which is why the sun doesn't set or rise the reason the presence of nighttime seems to exist is because of many many moons that all orbit around the scrap mechanic planet at the same rate these moons are all very slightly offset from one another they come around every 24 minutes and they eclipse the star
