If this cave system is relatively unknown you should submit a report to the NSS so some of the members can go out there and conduct a study. Bat environments are getting absolutely decimated and cave systems like this can support the bulk of entire species of bat. Obviously it's your decision, but it could make a massive difference.

I went through a huge spelunking phase with my best friend. Every weekend we would find a new cave, mostly always in north Alabama/ south TN. After being in any cave for at least 3 hours, everything starts to look the same. We would mark our path with neon orange yarn. The last time I ever went into a cave, we lost where we placed the yarn when we decided to turn back. We were almost 3 miles in. My everything was wet, and i started to really be unsure. Panic is going to be at the front of your mind but it HAS to be pushed to the back of your mind. You have to find your way out. And you have to do it all without hurting yourself. Although you’re underground, there can sometimes be 50-70 ft drop offs down into jagged limestone. You break a limb, especially a leg, you’re sure to die down there. Unless your partner is very competent.

@@Brainboostnetwork usually through an app I can’t remember maybe trailfinder? or just google searching popular caves in the area. I miss doing this in my youth. I spent alot of time in hoy cave in Kentucky. It had some impressive spots. I'd sneak friends in and explore for hours. This was back when the back entrance was still hidden. I actually dug out a few spots that lead into new areas previously unknown of. Lots of fun. You guys are living the dream.

Oh man! So many bats! I love bats though they dont scare me at all. They are one of the most awesome creatures and have such a great benefit to nature its incredible. I rescued one once when it flew into my house and knocked itself out. I put it in a box with a little blanked so it could hang onto it upside down and gave it water in a soda bottle cap. It hung out for 3 days until it finally recovered enough to fly away. It was awesome to watch. I've been a huge bat fan ever since.

That seems like the deepest cave that you guys explored so far, try wearing a wet thermal suit next time, you don’t want to get hypothermia. It would be extremely difficult for medical attention to reach you at those deep depths.

@victorpena200
@victorpena200 Год назад
@@chompers11 I was once in this situation, I explored an unknown cave, this was 21 years ago. I was young and hardheaded at the time. I nearly lost my life due to hypothermal. This cave was deep within the mountains in Pennsylvania. You have to crawl through water to navigate through the cave. I learned from that day that you need a thermal wet suit, 1000 hours worth of batteries to maintain your flash light, extra mileage of rope, food, water, and an extra orange line to mark what you’ve covered so you don’t get lost in those underground tunnels. If the water is deep it’s best to turn around, it’s not worth it to drown and get lost in the thick silt that blocks your vision. Underwater cave diving is the most risky exploring.

Those cat 🐾 paw prints all (the vast majority of the prints) appear to be going the same direction,with some older than others. These prints and their orientation of going the same direction (up hill) is a strange find,almost as strange as those 2 cigarette butts (Winston Mentals,unless mistaken.) After careful examination,ALL of those paw prints head the same direction,with none that I can discern going down the slope exceptionally odd.

But while was getting mapped out a group of thugs snuck into the cave an in the span of 24 hours they spray painted penis' everywhere, trash everywhere and broke ALL the cave formations easy to access. When I hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2019, I discovered that there must be a large cave under the trail. It was in the first 10 miles or so. It had rained and water was running down the mountains and crossing the trail. But at one point the water disappeared into the hillside but I could still hear it running under my feet. There must be a small cave system there that the water flows through. I didin't see an opening large enough to get into, but i wasn't really looking for one. Just a not for future finds.
