They need to check that journal. John Doe could have put information in it hiding it cause it was pretty public that there was nothing in it. He might have hoped no one would take it and the team could use it for a point of contact.
Here is what I'm thinking, as soon as John doe knew he was being followed he tried all he could to lose the person chasing him, and the person following him actually did lose from him for a bit. With the extra time he had gained he abandoned the car at the drop off, and he ran away to a spare car he had in waiting or possibly Deb ( if she hasn't been caught) was waiting to get him out of there.
If this is invisible ink on the journal maybe you should try exposing the pages to an open flame without catching the page on fire. Its a older method if invisible ink but people dont normally use it. just be carefully with trying it
Something I’ve noticed from the last episode, if you turn the exposure up on the close up of Double X’s mask, you can see 01 (or just the number one) on at least 3 different spots. The mask also looks much more complex then Ben’s. Not sure if this info is important or not, just wanted to share something I found.
They didn't check under the cop car, the seats like the mountainer or even the bushes of the surrounding area. If possible I think that they should go back and investigate the surrounding area of the cop car to see if anything is there that could possibly point them in a direction of what actually happened.
Just realized the connection with the xx smiley on the body outline and the mannequin dressed as matt being laid on it. and then they hit me with the "nelson's body outline". this series gets so much better when you rewatch it

If y’all are gonna search, search! The cursory searches of the motel and this vehicle aren’t thorough enough… what if there’s stuff left behind thats more hidden? You could be missing important clues especially if the fairly obvious ones are that informative!
Tons of people hide stuff under mattresses!! And they just moved the stuff till he pulled out the journal. I didn’t even see anyone check the back seat!!!
Theory: in a previous episode, the reading light was weirdly replaced with a black light in red base. Maybe try putting the book under that and see if any was written with invisible inc!
I think y'all should have done a more thorough search of the trunk, it's possible you could have missed some evidence that might've been intentionally hidden deeper within the trunk.
I know it was just audio problems with the wind but whenever Sams microphone would get a little corrupted and it reminded me so much of the radiation and was so concerning the first time it happened 😂

They didn’t check well in general. Didn’t check the backseats. Didn’t grab the newspaper to check it for any specific article. Barely looked in the trunk. They haven’t been the best at going over evidence honestly. It’s kind of annoying to me. Plus no more next time shows up
@@ThatHuskyStorm I remember hearing somewhere that they accidentally brought in the journal way too early. I'm guessing this is where they intended for it to really appear and they wanted to drive the story in that direction. I do agree though, they could've been more thorough in searching. It almost feels like they're railroading the story a bit instead of listening to some of the theories we viewers give them.
I think he was using an older police car as a stash to keep all of his findings/ evidence safe so everybody at his office wouldn't find them, then he went by to meet up with them and noticed everything was gone before they got their and left quickly without thought and went into hiding.
I like how Sam said that the body outline was disrespectful because they graffitied it completely disregarding that it was a murder and that there is a mysterious phantom with x eyes. just thought it was funny.

Have you guys thought about doing a paper trace on the journal front and backs. (Run the edge of a pencil over it lightly to see what may have been written on top of it leaving an impression hard to see) There may be a chance someone opened to a random page so you could see if anything had been tampered with. To be honest ever since the haunting's I've thought that maybe the journal was like it. Maybe it'll be just like the walls and have writing 'magically' appear.
This is what drives me crazy. They speculate forever instead of either running with the most likely scenario or finding out immediately any way they can.
I think that in the end someone was watching or standing near sub1 2 and 3 bcause theyre mics went all crazy and that only happens when there is a high level of radioactive stuff around

What if John Doe wrote in the Journal as he knew he was comprised, check to see if there is anything in it, maybe use the black light on the book again.

I think the Serum injection tool is still in there because when the camera Sam uses is in a zone where there is a substance radiating the camera picks audio up not so well. Sam’s audio wasn’t super good. I think the serum is still there.
it may not be the injection tool but yeah it is possible there is something radioactive there possible under the car they should see if the keys are near by
They didn't even go thru the car all that hard like look under the seats and thru all the bags look in the lining of the bags and under the floor boards in the trunk look under the steering wheel and the glove box look behind the glove box too there's alot of places john Doe could of hid evidence to keep it safe till you got there check everything up down sideways and around
I think he may have left the journal on purpose, maybe he's written something in it or it's some kind of invisibe ink only visible under uv lights (maybe it's written in lemon juice and you need to heat it in an oven).
It didn't work before, and I highly doubt its actually been empty even back when they first found the journal with how it was hidden. They tried a lot of things we suggested, nothing worked.
John Doe probably made sure that the team got that journal because there is something VERY IMPORTANT in it. Could be the answer to everything or a lead to who is behind the phantoms. The people who were hunting JD probably took the evidence but failed to look he journal due to time constraints.
John Doe is just playing the game on a whole different level than we could even imagine. It’s interesting to think about what his part of the story looks like and what he’s been going through. Is projects 863 just consuming his entire life or is it just a small fraction of what he’s working on. And who’s following him? Will he be ok? Where and when will we see him next?
Was the breaking in the audio due to the wind, or more radiation? Also, that journal probably isn't empty. I bet being exposed to radiation or serum would uncover notes in it.
Preeeetty sure the journal isn't empty. I'll be looking forward to them either using fire to make ink show up or possibly a blacklight to uncover hidden ink.
When Sam brings up that Ben didn't want to displease his boss who is apparently dead I think someone else took up the role hiding the fact he isn't Neilson
Rigor mortis is not when a body is decaying. So after somebody passes their body goes stiff do to the blood coagulating. And if the room is cold the body will be stiff longer. Also that’s why the morgue will put the body on ice.
I think John Doe stopped trusting Deb after he confirmed that she murdered Wes. He could have still stayed in contact to obtain any information he can for potential leads, but that is it. He doesn't know where she is so she can't even be arrested. How John Doe got found out is a mystery. The police car is just going to stay abandoned I guess. Idk if they can bring it back to their studio. It isn't mandatory to track squad cars, but that doesn't mean they don't have them.
i think they should try and talk to deb, i feel like she has more information that would be helpful im not sure how they will talk to her but they should
Im not sure if anyone else noticed the way Sam's mic sounded at the end. It sounded like it did when they were exposed to the larg area of radiation when they found the serum bomb testing site. Idk maybe it's just me.
I know they found the black on the wall a while ago but you know how there was a safe in that one. Does that mean there's something behind the other black marks in the wall.
Okay hear me out. All this time we've had that journal and its lead us to nothing but what if there's more to it? Something the plain human eye can't see, this is syntec after all. What if you can only see something on the pages with a black light? It could be invisible ink or something.
I think that was already tried previously when they were looking at the mountaineer for blood spots from the murder we saw on the security camera. But I'm thinking syrum reveals it 🤔

That journal has to have invisible ink, if we're dealing with Syntec, there's no way a journal is just blank there has to be something in there that's been missed.
@@mightymiggle Probably because we didn't find what was significant about it, so they thought there was nothing in there just like we did. The only time there's interference its always after we have made a discovery, Syntec may be flying blind with us, but maybe not as much as we are.
For a second I was like maybe this is a distraction for someone to go to the studio and break in or steal stuff and I also think you guys should check the journal again maybe there's stuff in there check with the black lightes etc maybe he left info in there and who ever stole it won't be able to c it so just check it to be sure You guys do such a great job on these videos and I hope you guys are ok in these hard times as always stay safe and healthy
