After the bizarre reaction with Scott and the Mountaineer the day before, the team isn't wasting anytime and plans the only thing they know will probably work when dealing with unknowns: a stakeout. They wait for Scott, hopeful that he will return at the exact same time as he did the day before, hopeful that that they can get some answers out of him about what's going on, and the crime that happened to Deb. Is Scott on the right side of the law?

I would recommend you make a copy of the key. Since the briefcase "reset" itself from your vault back to Scott, the key could do the same. It's better to be safe than have to worry about asking Scott for the key again.

i wonder if maybe longer than that? cuz he was asking for a phone book.. there were several kinds of cellphones out in 2003, but does he know about them, or much about them.,.. he at least didn't have one.. of course he wouldn't recognize smartphones like woods' phone. i dont know when cells became popular and widely used, but he asked for a phone book, so i don't know how far back that puts him.. wish they asked what year he thought it was..

Next time you guys see Scott, ASK HIM WHAT YEAR HE THINKS IT IS and what was the last thing he remembers before arriving at the Studio. We might be able to figure out what happened through that.

Would if he doesn’t know what year and if it is some sort of time loop where it’ll all just reset again won’t this whole conversation they had have to be summarized the next time they meet with him? He seemed confused by the phone so one can assume he doesn’t know what year it is. Does everything in the car and the case reset? Could something be left in the mountaineer or given to Scott from present time to help remind him or would it just vanish and start over?

@@Dudewithguns-ww7wc I would say based on this (the way he reacted to woods phone) shows he is from a different time therefore unless the year is of actual importance there is no need to waste time asking what year it is for him. It will not help give answers to the events happening. We need to ask more important questions to help answer why? as well as who could have killed Deb that he is aware of, and who the lady that took the absolete could have been. I feel like the team has a good idea of the year he is from due to the expiration date of the Marrs bar when they went through his case in the last video

Theory: After doing a little digging I found something called Trauma Loops where PTSD from a traumatic experience or experiences keep being replayed on a constant loop, what if he's constantly re-living the day he possible killed Deb and tried to help the girl Chloe escape or replaying the same day that possibly Chloe died from Deb's experiments causing him to possibly kill deb. -Changed in though: Believe that he didnt kill Deb but who knows-

I doubt he would take them to syntec. However, they could follow him again. One person should stay back to watch for the re-appearing Mountaineer. When/if he returns, follow him back to where ever he came from.

Theory : they broke Scott’s loop. He didn’t drive off so by interacting with him and changing the pattern of the loop, it’s stopped. Which may mean they won’t have access to him again ?

Theory: I don't know if this is true but I have heard and seen that Mars bars have been discontinued in the US since 2002, Scott forgot the conversation he had with you previously. Q of The Day Answers: Time loop is basically what you witness, the Mountaineer had start point and finish point when it got to the finish it reset back to start. there are few things you need to figure out along with ending the time loop. First where is Scott starting in the time loop on foot, second what was the finish point location originally 20 yrs. ago was always warehouses/businesses or was there something else. Third Mountaineer was post Wes Murder via memo stated, and Scott seems to pre Wes murder what he stated. and finally if this a time loop you need remove mountaineer before he arrived but leave two members of the team with a camera film the empty spot while you and other member with a camera in the mountaineer with second vehicle and take it out of the valley that in THEORY it should end the time loop. Also, Theory I think DEB murder cause the time loop because this happen after. Her death and the team would notice this happen per her death.

If you just broke the “time loop” by speaking with him, what if he remembers this point in time and later becomes the undercover officer. It would explain why he was so quick to help us in this endeavor. Also, would love for you to get into the “time mountaineer” with him and possibly slip time streams. Then maybe you could go undercover in Syntec and help that way in that time frame. Maybe you just discovered the time worm hole between the past and now.

THEORY: The old mountaineer that we believe to be Wes' is infact Scott's, that would explain the same vin numbers. This would also back up what the letter referring to Syntec's partnership says. It's possible that Scott really is in a time loop almost like the movie "Groundhog Day".

But don't take bailey - she is not subject 1, 2, 3 or 4 - she's infiltrated the team. If you take Bailey - Deb will die again... the failsafe over her death is active right now... Deb always has a back-up plan in case things go wrong. this is it -- the loop to get to her before she dies.

Theory: In answer to the looping question, we don’t really know or understand the experiments going on in the syntec lap. I don’t know how but it is possible that an experiment Scott was working on went wrong creating this loop. Or even someone else working at syntec could have done something to him after he worried about Chloe’s health!

Question of the day: The possible way he could time travel is if he had a project named after him (which he did)that is probably the way they did it. What do I mean by that is that Syntec was trying to teleport somewhere but they failed and made Scott stuck in time and space, and leaving him young and not know whats going on, and not knowing that Syntec was closed. He's atoms are probably slowly going away and are electrify then coming back making a loop. Just a thought.

Theory: Syntec tried to put Chloe in a time loop so she couldn’t escape but they accidentally (or intentionally out of anger of Chloe escaping) put Scott in a time loop.

question of the day: Scott looping with the mountaineer comes into play with him awaking from his ''coma'' I think. Scott might be becoming a character you might want to focus on more. maybe Scott and Chloe were put under, then some sort of surgery was done on them making him, the mountaineer, and Chloe (god knows where she is) looping! Question of the Day Answer or Theory: The timeloop or time travel is caused by a quantum flux happens or a wormhole opens appearing at the same time everyday until that flux or wormhole is destroyed or imploded. Same with the Mountaneer disappearing over and over again. All you need is to find out when exactly Scott and the Mountaneer appears and disappears again to destroy the worm hole or flux, any explosive will do to make it implode causing the Wormhole or flux to become unstable. That is what the book is about in the briefcase that was called "Quantum Mechanics". You should see if you can find another copy of the Book.

I do not believe he is working in an active syntec location. My guess would be that is the way he exited the last time he was there possibly the day he disappeared so that is when the loop starts. Maybe if we can find out why he disappeared or who made him disappear we can help him out of this loop.

QOTD: Time travel and time loops are concepts that are very difficult to explain/understand. But I think the basic logic of a time loop is; an event causes time to loop on itself. So if the event occurs time loops. Meaning to break the loop you have to change the event that is causing time to loop. If the event does not occur (or if another specific event occurs) the loop breaks. And I think that's what happened in the video. You guys broke the loop by speaking to Scot. Thats why he doesn't remember visiting the studio. Because all this time he was in the time loop. From his perspective he goes about his day till the time you guys are supposed to meet him. If you guys do not meet him he resets. And this keeps happening till you guys eventually break him out of it.

So here’s my theory: if time travel and time looping is involved, maybe whoever created it back in Scott’s time, they created it to save him from death in his time and to allow him to have a life in the future, even if it’s a repetitive cycle. And if Scott is time looping, then are there others that whoever created it is also trying to save as well? Like will we start seeing a live Wes or a live Deb from the past? It could also explain why Deb was so cryptic about how things would play out for project 863, because she was somehow involved with time travel and knew the outcome.

Something that I notice was when Woods gives his phone to Scott, he seems to be confused about the device, kind of proving he might be in a timeloop or woke up from a coma making him think it that same of year than realizing it not.

Question of the day Answer: Theoretically a Tim loop could be possible through the use of an Einstein-Rosen bridge, being the fact that it connects space and time, it would allow a person from a different time and location to also end up in a new place and new time, but could also be used to create a loop within spacetime creating a time loop.

Theory: It's like a duplicate of Scott stuck in a loop. He's a duplicate trapped in the same scenario over and over, reset to the beginning. When he walked into your front door, he had broken away from the path and was on his way to work. He couldn't get past the mighty cat, so he tried again later with the subjects. The person you confronted was not the same person who entered the building. What if you confronted him the following day to see if it was the same or a duplicate?

Theory: when the team tampered with the old mountaineer and legally made it matt's maybe the time loop made a clone. the mountaineer was permanently no longer scott's anymore, if that makes sense, so opposed to restarting the loop, a new one was made. that would explain why the two have the same vin numbers, scott didn't remember last week and would introduce that maybe there are duplicates of the old stuff they found in the other mountaineer. such as the notebook, serum, etc. Edit after watching: NEXT TIME YOU SEE HIM AND IF HE DOESNT REMEMBER AS HIM IF HE KNOWS ANY CODES TO MAKE HIM REMEMBER

QOTD answer: By my understanding of what Steven Hawking has said, time travel is only possible with dark matter and worm/black holes. This makes it very possible that Scott has access to something that contains dark matter and can randomly form wormholes and/or black holes anywhere. time travel is also only possible through different universes. If the multiverse theory is correct we can only time travel to a different timeline and only CHANGE that timeline henceforth a time loop. We are dealing with multiple of the same person and vehicle due to a constant rate of travel through universes.

Theory: after watching this video it definitely seems Scott is in some sort of loop. Also seems like his loop has him stuck in the past. I would still like the team to have asked him the year/date it was for him. Wonder if this time loop was made to help the team or for other purposes.

I was in the hospital for most of the beginning of project 863. It took a few months to recover, so I have been re-watching it for the past few months. I'm so sad I missed out on all this. I'm a science nerd, so I could have helped quite a bit. However, I still enjoy watching and I hope there are more things like this in the future of spellbound. Hopefully, I can help with those. This stakeout and interaction with Scott was very interesting. It’s good that he has decided to trust them. Personally, I wish the team could have had a way to reach out to Ben. To at least see if he would help them in approaching Scott. I’m not saying that the meeting didn’t go well, but it would have been interesting to see how Ben and Scott would interact with each other

QOTD: If you remember near the start of this journey there seemed to be a project called Pegasus. It talked about how people were made to jump in and out of a machine or something along the lines to get to different times. Another idea is that the absalate isn't like a type of crystal but a rock/container of liquid or a type of key/trigger that restarts or repeats the past in the future to find a different ending than the one previously achieved that is the ending which is correct.

Question Of The Day: The logic behind a time loop is that one person is reliving the same day over and over again, now this could be changed with how scott is doing things... Time loops usually only effect that person and only they can remember those events but also, it's usually one day getting looped... With scott he may have started the first loop with trying to go back to syntec, next few days he comes back, leaves his briefcase in the same place, confused still and leaves again... Previous day he decides to skip all of these events right to his car, he drives off to a lot where, his day is then reset again, leading to this day... He's reliving the same major events... Going to Spellbound, dropping off briefcase, getting into car, driving to lot, resetting... He's living in a loop of major points of a single day, while everyone else is living day after day like normal

Except it's not just him. The briefcase keeps leaving the office and returning back to the car. The car has the same vin number as the broken one. The mars bar is back in place. Plus the major details that people have forgotten, there are old signed documents detailing when Sam was born and Wood's rejection letter. Not to mention the many references Deb left about how the project "should work this time." Indicating that the events have been happening over and over again.

@@willsafran8855 The issue of course being that, that kind of time loop involves reliving the same day over and over again, retaining all knowledge of the loops that came before. The time loop with Scott everyone's talking about involves everything reverting to it's starting point but further along through time. So for Scott, when he gets to the end of his loop he's just gone and a new copy appears at the start point. If it weren't for the briefcase and car, it'd be much easier to believe he just has anterograde amnesia. The inability to store new memories beyond short term recollection.

I still think that whenever you cross paths with Scott or see him again you should ask him what year it is to see what he says because he looked pretty surprised to see a phone I could tell he was very interested in seeing that iphone so if you do ask him what year or what date it is you guys would a better understanding and help him out and maybe he could give you more info off of that
