@@hdogg21 It's not an end of the world price, but it's definitely not worth it for what you're getting. At the end of the day, it's still a Civic. There's nothing special or luxurious about it to justify the insane markups.

@@sir_christmas_leopold_duckson Your partially correct, and I somewhat agree. But I see it this way, the Civic Type R is visibly pleasing and already has the aesthetic as a performance car. Only small changes are needed to make it sound and feel like one, just like the exhaust modification this video was presenting. These prices will maybe mount up to 2-3 grand, which I see all as worth it.

I wish I had the resources for the go-ahead to make my own exhaust. I have a very good idea. It should kill any drone and just have raw engine noise. The resonator and Muffler would be the same design. Design resonator with 2°-10° triangles with a baffled silencer design and the muffler with circular offset 2°-10° triangle baffled the whole length of the muffler to silent any drone. Put the inlet on one side and have to triangles offset to the opposite side so there's no direct line out the exhaust before the triangle swallow the Drone. Like a silent room.

Sounds good. But there are at least several good options out there. My FK8 is still...stock. But I do like the idea of a valve switch. I would not want annoy my neighbors. If it saves weight and adds power as well - might be worth it. Drone would be a deal-breaker for me. So glad this exhaust seems to be better on that.

Didn’t realize a stock type r is making only 260whp for some reason I was expecting somewhere around 270-280. Haven’t lined up with a type r but I guess I’d lay the smack down on one of them with my si pretty easily 🤨

Our dyno reads a bit low, so a stock Type R would typically make around 270-280whp in rather good conditions. 👍

lmfao - a basic tune on an R will smack up an Si unless its got an upgraded turbo and FBO/flex fuel - full fbo e50 R is 430-450whp and demolishes every Si on the planet unless its got motec/full race turbo setup/full e85 fuel system which only a handful on earth do.

@@TheFK8Life a kraftwerks supercharger rotrex kit with just FBO nets 400 to 440 whp on an 8th gen Si. Full turbo setup with lower compression pistons to go high on the boost will net you 600 plus whp on a stock k20z3 block Hell if you build the cylinder head to rev to 9000 and take advantage of the rotrex, you could see close to 500whp with e85. Insane amt of money though.

@@Kdubz_Auto_HVAC We are talking about 10th gen Sis and my R makes 434/417 stock turbo - Ill run a rotrex 8th gen anytime - going fuel system and p600 drop in this week - shooting for 520/490 on e45 Ive owned my FA5 for 11 years and my 10th Si for 4 years before buying my R I know these cars first hand - my R makes mlre than 400ftlbs at 4k rpm - let me know hoe much torque a rotrex Si is making at 4k lol

I have the AFE power Takeda. Only other exhaust I'll get when the time comes is 27won. Theirs is the "ONLY" full 3in exhaust.

I honestly hate how they put plastic underneath the cars now. looks dumb and makes under-car maintenance a pain. Ripped mine off before I left the dealer LOL
