I was thinking of a 12v boat bilge Blower That could be mounted in the car and have some pipe mabe some flex directed to the converter... It would be trick... Go steal the blower off Garrett's jet boat...he won't miss it..lol

Im fucking stupid highly adhd. I use a peg board on my work bench. Bam. Hit with sticky note. I hate trans work with a passion but i cant always hit up richard at precision or these ATF guys. Amarilla is 5 hours from me and florida is on thenother side of the misssasip. so if its within my talents. I guess ill have to tighten my overalls and get it done
@@brandona4618 Yeah, I can relate to that. I'd have to really take a ton of photos and video or something to make sure everything goes back where it's supposed to lol.
Simply put... If you're manufacturing hundreds (if not thousands) of parts, anomalies will happen. The mark of a truly great company is not only limiting the number of failures but how they deal with the failures that occur. With that said, with these guys and the way they approach things and the pride they take in doing the best job possible, I'd go with these guys every day of the week and twice on Sunday!!!
This is great. Considering where I'm at in New York I went to 4 transmission shops and they all told me they couldn't replace synchroze they just changed tranny's.
Coop get some locking dip sticks and a huge catch can for that trans. A few parts and a little knowledge is a lot cheaper than rebuilding a race car! Do it for dale brother!
I know nothing about transmission repair. But all I heard was “valve” and “o-ring” and makes me think it’s always some small part that goes horribly wrong that causes all the chaos. Mad respect to ATF for making their own Dino. Holy hell thats impressive.

Not very many companies that take their products that seriously. It is awesome that they have that level of commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. The fact that they actually build what they need to do what is needed and working on innovative solutions to take tranny builds to the next level.
I love how clear and knowledgeable this guy talk's. Like ChrisFix. He doesn't stutter or say umm like most RU-vidrs witch makes me not watch them as much.🤘🏽

I'm recommending watching Precision Transmission. Worth your watch if you have the time. "this is Richard back atcha..." (ATF looks pretty cool too....Precision is in Texas)
@@stevebeavers3754 they both get cores and insert billet parts. Richard is 5 hours from me so hes the better choice for me. When my monster trans come in next month its more than likely going to Amarilla. For some extra goodies and the precision touch.
@@stevebeavers3754 I’m not a fan of reusing clutches. If the trans has to come out, especially in this case, I’d opt for new clutches. That’s just me though.
Man really does invest in his and his customers future, takes pride in his work for sure. He also knows what engine to use for reliable trans dyno service too. Hearing all the jam about the A340 makes me want one for my Barra

My gut tells me that stale fluid led to hotter parts, leading to cooking an O-ring. Solution is to change the transmission fluid every so many passes. The fan on the new torque converter is needed, too, of course. Perhaps you can use the bolt-together torque converter to make fluid changes more complete. The transmission breather needs to flow enough so that if air heating in the tranny does drive a lot of fluid/foam out, it can get out without breaking gaskets, and has somewhere to go like the engine oil catch can does for the motor.
Cooper, take a look at the dip sticks that KSR is putting on Cleetus's Mullet El Camino. They are locking latching design which is much better than OEM lockers. Best wishes.
as a guy sittin here because I'm waiting on my trans rebuild(4l60 life) I appreciate this guys dedication to improve and test different things! What a shop to work with :)
The update on that bypassing issue sure will be very interesting. Seeing the transmition on the dyno will be cool too. Looking forward to your next vid.

You should probably take someone's advice if that's what they do!! Hard head man damn. You can't half ass with your racing program coop come on brother!
Just an observation but why do so many racers use rubber hose from front to rear (fuel and trans) instead of steel tube. More durable, less likely to melt in event of fire, likely no more expensive. and would take up slightly less room. SO very glad it is a simple repair and very little damage.

you're like my dad was with his bracket car. He put 12k miles on his VW transaxle before rebuilds and his rebuilder kept telling him to replace the super diff with a spool especially cause the last tear down revealed the diff was blue and stress cracking lol
