so after screwing diesel pumps making more boost, adding weights and mega anticipation we go tractor pulling to northern Ireland first night time tractor pull in pomeroy just outside dungannon in aid of air ambulance ni.
was great to see first truck pulling in northern Ireland too!! scania v8 hooked up to sled the guys from England, Scotland and wales , the classic and vintage tractors, big Massey 8480 2805 with Perkins v8 and John Deere 8410 and other classics like fiat 180- 90 and ford tw

Its a funny thing with tractor pulling. As an avid puller, always get nervous backing into the sled, but soon as that chain gets tight all the nerves just go away. Then your along with the ride.

Makes for a good event. Not too bad even in the rain. Even in Oz these days we are getting some freaky weather. Lot of events cancelled this year due to flooding all over the place. It can happen anywhere. But then Ireland is renowned for rain.

Good to see tractor pulling catching on in n.ireland. I remember as a teenager seeing the championships in England in the 90's. When I told my friends I saw tractors with airplane engine's and old fordson majors putting out 600hp + they just wouldn't believe me. Excellent video lad💪

The guy on the quad should get a harness on and have a go at the pull himself. Just put a tray of sausage rolls at the end. Good stuff.

I like how the tractor pulls over there use big modern tractors. over here it's all 1960s equipment and older. fun to watch for a while but doesn't have the cool factor of a brand new tractor pulling.

Looks like they waited to start the pull till way too late. No pull should ever start hooking after 7pm. A shame it turned into a mud run!!

Bloody Irish weather! Track looked very soft even on the first day! You were lucky in that run! Could have done with a few more revs before you let her go. Did you start with the clutch or put her in gear and let her do the job? My father had the fore runner 8630 in 1990. Best looking Ford in my opinion with yours second. That 7810 Ford did well and the 1455 case, plus the 8410 JD and 8480? Massey in the mud. How did the MH and county do?

She would walk all over a standard 85 because her torque is so frightening the john deere dealers dyno couldn't bring her right down but a mapped 85 would be a different story

I can't for the life of me understand why people rarely run those fat tires on tractors in the states. They're just plain sexyyou should come to Alabama in the US. We can get more rain in an suprise afternoon shower than most places get all month
