They 100% are... good luck with you're pup (if I had to give myself advice looking back I would say to have lots and lots of loving patience because the tiny baby has so much to learn in the first year of his life and in time all the "issues" will sort themselves out. It just takes love and patience). I'm sure your pup will make you soooo happy! Mine brings me immense joy every single day :o)

@AnimeCrew it depends on you. At first you have to bring them outside every 2 hours even at night. If you do it well the first week, they will learn SUPER FAST!! Never let them out of your sight (in the same room as you) so you can see the signs they have to go. Never using a wee wee pad is important as when they pee inside they can't tell the difference between going outside or inside. Good lock :o) If you do it right, they learn fast.

They don't have a mean streak at all! They (and this goes for all cockers, not just goldens) can however develop high anxiety levels if they're not properly socialized or exercised (and they don't even need an excessive amount of either), this could be confused with aggresivity but it really isn't. Cockers have pretty balanced temperaments by nature, but that doesn't mean that they don't have defined personalities of their own. They're cute AF but they aren't stuffed toys or even lap dogs, just be a regular, responsible owner and you'll do GREAT. P.S. Spaying and neutering helps A LOT with reducing their stress levels. I will never get why some so-called dog-loving owners don't do it if they're not planning to breed their pets (and I'm talking about all breeds, mixed too. SMH)

@@reeyakatakdaund4558 unfortunately it is 🙁 You have to regularly clean their ear canal gently but thoroughly with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol (which is really no big deal, you just have to make it a part of their routine since they're puppies so that they'll be calm when you do it It doesn't hurt them at all, but if they're not used to it they can get anxious and it'll be difficult) and still regularly check them and keep properly groomed on the inside too. The most common (and recurrent) ear infection is acute otitis. The telltale sign is s foul odor coming out of their ears accompanied by excessive and foul smelling wax, also your pup will scratch their ears desperately and constantly shake their heads (this can get so bad that it can cause hematomas in their ear flaps [your cocker's ear will appear thick, not just long] which will have to be drained by the vet). Otitis is easily treated with drops, or a shot and lots of constant cleaning. But as I mentioned, it's recurrent AF because their ear canal isn't properly ventilated by those floppers, so ear maintenance will always be an issue with you spaniel pup. Aside from that, they're a pretty healthy breed, the only other health issue you need to keep an eye on is weight gain, but regular exercise and portion control (nothing special) will keep that under control. Honestly it's a tiny "sacrifice" to make for having such wonderful, loyal, smart and beautiful companions ❤. Cockers are so underrated! They'll love you until their last breath, they truly are the best friends you could ask for. ❤❤❤❤

In general yes, if you go to a professional breeder specialized in English Cockers.

Unfortunately it would be a very bad idea. You can't leave them for more than 4 hours a day, they are very very needy. And dogs in general do not do well when they have to stay home alone 8 hours a day. It's better to wait until your lifestyle would be conducive to have a happy puppy. (Working from home, retirement, etc). It's the sad truth unfortunately. Sometimes we really want a dog cause we love them, but it would be unfair and heartbreaking to leave them in the house anxious and alone for hours on end. Hope it helps.
