Good overview. I use Neocolors and like them but wish for darker values. Do oil pastels rub off easily? Or can you fill a sketchbook with them no problem?
Thank u for this review , I use sennelier, but you can not buy them in the Netherlands separate, so trying out another A brand, Neopastel and I can buy them separate 🎉 ❤️
Liquitex & Pebeo definitely have bettter paint (Posca, sharpie, and most paint pens aren’t lightfast), but the nibs are unusable. I need detail nibs. Which you can get from FW Daler Rowney and Montana. Not sure how interchangeable they are, but the sizes seem similar. Edit - Pébéo has .7 nibs.
When I started painting as a teenager I bought all my paints from the a well known art store. Haven’t painted for a few decades and bought some cheap paint recently for the kids to try painting. I joined them and constantly had issues. Initially I thought maybe I just got old and forgot how to paint and the techniques involved. Over a bit more time k realise the paint just behaved very differently. I dug up a tube of the really old paint from many years ago and it was much more usable.
I think your painting is lovely. I was surprised to hear you say that you didn't know much about painting with watercolor because just your watercolor layer looked amazing. I use watercolor and I just bought some oil pastels that I'm going to try to incorporate into my watercolor paintings. Thank you for your video. It was very helpful.
Hi nice to meet you too I am beginner to I use acrylic paint 🎨 😊 I want to get better use them I would like more on RU-vid videos or text message with you together 😢please help me with them here 😊
I learned that the cheap paint is garbage it's all watered down and it just goes runny when you paint something it looks good when you squeeze some out but soon as you start using it you realize why it is so cheap I even bought some expensive thick gel that was supposed to make it thicker but it still goes on runny so I bought some expensive paint and it works great but after painting a few things I realized it is way to expensive
I don't know if anybody has commented or not for your plants, but I literally just dealt with this. It looks like your root might be too long. You can cut the root ball off of the root stem and plant both! I literally have the same issue I have to deal with
I am curious how the Sennelier white compares to the Paul Ruebens? I am new to Oil Pastel and I bought a set of 6 Paul Reubens whites because they were recommended on Reddit. They are very very soft and bright and opaque which I love for final highlights. Good to see that performance on the Juniors. I recently got the Expressionists and I was surprised how much I liked them but I can only get replacement whites in the Junior line.
Hallo Syndia, I am Hildegard from South Africa. I absolutly LOVE your advise to paint in acrylic. Please can you show me/us how to paint the tree bark of an old oak tree? I am battling to get the texture to look realistic. I need to paint the large branch as a close up of the branch. I hope you can help me? Thank you. 😊
I acutally use acrilycs and usually while blending they dry out very fast and it is making it hard to blend So is the problem the brand of the acrilycs or am i just doing it wrong Pleaseee help. Im really needing an answer for that 😩
beginner graphical artist carrying my cheapskate behaviors over from music. Just picked up a tray of cheap acrylic tubes and knowing the limitations of cheap paints will save me some frustration
How about soft pastels please? Here in Egypt, most artists use soft pastels from only two brands called Mary’s and Faber-Castell and we were unable to find a useful spray for fixing the material to the paper.
Pentel oil pastels are my favourite <3 And when it comes to blending: I just warm up the pastel (in hands) or the paper (or both) and they blend amazingly :)
