Reminds me of high school days. Fathers rule was he didn’t care about my Friday evening cavorting, but I was to be cleaning barns Saturday morning, at 730 am. So hung over, and into the skid steer loader I went. The hog slop was especially ripe those mornings. Great video, excellent work.
Love y’a Tom, but I have to say, Andrew doing the opening is just wonderful every time! This clean out was massive! I bet it’s been awhile since you’ve gotten the pit down so low. Very satisfying! 👍👍👍❤️🚜
Omg I am so pleased to see an empty and cleaned out slurry tank!! Well done Tom. You are working hard to make things reflect your new build. Proud of you. Cricky it echos in there !! A first ! Great job !
Thanks for the update really enjoy your channel, looks like this job involved perfect timing all around i.e. Having the bobcat , the crane and the skip and perhaps poor Joanna having no sense of smell for when you got home 😃
That was a super satisfying video. I don’t know if you’ll find any other farmer on RU-vid that cleaned up that well like you did Tom. Cleaning that slurry tower scratched that itch I’ve had seeing it dirty all those years.
Superb job, Tom, we do it same way in our wastewater plants as needed but we have to remove air bubbliers that run 24/7 to keep it stirred up before pumping it out.
Slurry store looks great! You now just need keep it clean by installing a new solids separator when you install the new input pipe. Fewer solids might make the dribble bar work better for second crop hay.
Please I need someone to help me trade or invest the forex or crypto market because I'm tired of trading in losses myself. I've blown my account twice and it's frustrating.
It just showed how empty the slurry tank was because the echo was really noticeable. Great job done there Tom and maximum usage of equipment whilst you had it which made perfect sense to clear it out. 👍👍👍👏👏👍👍
You've never seen Up?! Oh, my dude, you have to! The first few minutes will break your heart but then it puts it back together again better than before. So geeewwd.
Brilliant video Tom we could see how rough you were feeling but what a fantastic job you dig can’t wait to see more keep the videos coming and Happy Farming
Imagine how fun it is to be sitting around watching some farming only to hear music made by my friends that I worked on in the background! How fun! Layup are friends of mine for 10 years. Cheers from Atlanta!
reminds me of the story about what happened on the farm before i took over. They left the digger running whilst they had lunch - when they came back the caterpillar which was loading the slurry was sitting running in the middle of 5' of slurry! Reckon you had a better plan Tom!!
We've got an old slurry store from our dairy days, and this vid just gave me an idea. Its got about 2 rings still in it, mainly dirty water and a thick crust, but, we want a machinery / workshop shed, and I'm thinking what if we tankered the water out, dug out the crust, put a tin roof over it, and removed some of the panels on the side for a door...... That would make a sick shed.
The Hoof GP sent me! And oh my! A grand entrance to your videos. Yuk! Just kidding. I’m looking forward to seeing more about your farm, Slurry Store, or Potty Emporium! It’s life on the farm. 😊 From Petaluma California
Oh my! That would have been way too much fun! Great idea for mucking it out. That had to have stunk to high heaven! You guys are just checking off items on your to do list like crazy! Take care! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🐂🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄
Wonderful to see a slurry pit properly cleared out. It always bothers me on other farm channels that they waste such an ongoing portion of their expensive storage capacity by NOT doing a *full* clearing of the solids volume in a slurry pit or tank.
You and your family are 'So Made For This' proper English Farmers. Thank you for feeding our Nation and entertaining us too boot. Whoop whoop, I love it. P, s what about Jet Washing the insider of that monster. What do I know, sorry., a nightmare probably.
“The Two Andrews.” Yeah, there is a lot of years in business, combined, between the two of them; but, I’d love to be a fly on the wall when the stories start flowing out of “The Two Andrews” after a few adult beverages!😂 That would be epic!👍👍
Did the Ginger Warrior want to play with the Bobcat? Part of me thanks that was great fun and part of me got a bit green around the gills. Great as always. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Great video Tom. Love Andrews intro. It could have come out a whole lot differently. Ha ha. I was wondering how you were planning to empty out the sludge. It all worked out really well, great teamwork in your community. Question remains what did you do with all that muck you emptied onto the yard... I am intrigued you mentioned the roof over the silo clamp twice in this video and have hinted in a previous video as well at this one extra storage. What do you plan to store, water from the new shed roof or slurry?. Look forward to finding out. Hope the trip to Ireland is going well and more importantly I hope Joanna is recovering.
Hope your well Archie, Im waiting for the next side of the bale to finish so just catching up with comment 🙈 Never looked at roof in the end. Parlour was more important
@@TomPembertonFarmLife A year to respond Tom! I guess you have a lot to catch up on. Great looking back at this video. You have come a long way since this was uploaded. Looking forward to today's video of progress on the new milking parlour and hopefully seeing you breaking ground on the new slurry trench. You never did say what happened with that slurry in the yard and your dad's reaction. Here's a great idea for a future Sunday video - You and your dad sitting down and reviewing some of these old clips and us watching your reactions. Get your videographer/editor guy to set this up so you and your dad don't know what you'll be watching ahead of time.
If Andrew's voice was on David attenborough's video's would totally watch them. And that comment was perfect !!! great job Tom first time its totally clean, and those silage bunker's look good in back ground and fuller than ever.
Hard working Tom, 💪👷your awesome. The slurry was clean as a whistle. I have a very nice soulful voice and I wanted to come and sing in the slurry. I am in Jamaica though. So if your up for a silly challenge 🤪can you sing in there??!! Because the slurry has the perfect echo in there. I could hear the echo when u were talking in the last part. Echotastic
