We have a New Adventure - We now have our own Flea market Booth - Check it out!!! 

My husband & I had an antique & consignment store for a number of years. My biggest suggestion would be to not overstock your space, & move things around every so often. You'd be surprised what people notice once it's been moved. Also, have a chair in your booth. These large buildings are tiring. I try to find a chair & while I'm resting for a couple of minutes, I'm looking at the stuff in the booth.

Did the mall raise prices on rent, so that the people are leaving? Check on turn over.

Don't really like to think of over extending yourselves. Plus you'll need to factor in the added expenses and employees. I guess I'd really have to think about. But you two have alot of experience and know what you're doing. God BLESS you in all you do.

I have a busy booth in a large thrift store. I learned very early that if it was not full, customers walked by and glanced inside. If it was full, they have to come in to check it all out😊

The trick to selling anywhere is to have things that other sellers don't have. To many alike items and know one sells anything. I used to be on the craft circuit and found the outdoor week end shows are much better. I always did great at them. I realize you probably wouldn't have the time to haul things to and from every weekend to different places. I've also done a few of these instore ones and nothing. Oh also know matter where you are selling always try to get a both closes to the door or entrance.This is because customers still have a pocket full of money they are anxious to spend. These indoor shops I have never seen very many people in them but I do wish you luck and hopefully this shop will be different. And last but not least. Don't sign a long term contract quite yet. My mom and I had a booth in two different thrift malls. You could focus on one to three different sections. Maybe kitchen items, home decor, and toys. You can also switch them out to something else every month or so. You can also do a holiday only booth and have items for every holiday. Don't have an overstuffed, busy booth because some people will avoid them. I do because there's more chance of something getting broke or going out the door without being paid for. Keep track of the inventory. We used tags instead of stickers. The cashier takes the tags and enters the booth number and amount into the register and places the tags of sold items into your booths folder. At the end of the month you will get them back along with a total sales receipt with your booth rental taken out of the sales. You can have a +/- balance. You run the risk of not making enough in sales to cover the booth rental, so they will tell you what you owe. That's one reason why we closed ours up. Too risky. Had better luck at a monthly yard sale at our houses than in the booth. It's a lot to think about.

I had a flea market stand for many years before i had to retire. I was known as "The Video Queen" I started with movies and music then started getting collectable dolls. I had a good business for many years and i discovered. Sell stuff you your yourself loves. That ways you will be more careful about what you buy.

I love stores like this. I hooe it doesn't take away from items on your website or in your fire sale. 😁

The paper weights would go great at the flea market.

i would put your puzzel boxes and you glass critters , jewelery stuff like that

Antique malls are few and far between but many resellers like to shop for hogh end things at a reasonable cost and your auction nuys would be perfect for this space.

Oh the books, partial to childrens books.

I would sell some of the geodes and stone items from your supplier close by. They are unique pieces ans I didn't notice similaf items in what you showed in the other booth

One suggestion I have is to have at least some items that no one else sells. A lot of the booths seem to have the same things, which makes it harder to stand out. Standing out in a unique way will help to draw more business. I wish you the best of luck in your new adventure. ❤️

The "busy booth" is to busy for me. I can't focus on anything when people selling do that.

I had a flee market booth with my dad he sold musical item and I had hand made items one thing that always did great was $1 items also the wind chimes you get would do great.and the small toys.

Consider a small section of your booth be devoted to different holiday decor & items.

Christmas items when the begins. Dolls like older barbies, vintage dolls. Vintage homeware, clothing, vintage garden items, pretty anything that is vintage. You could also put some toys for the kids that come in, you know if a kid sees something they like, parents are pretty much going to buy something for them so they can walk with the kids that are occupied with the toy. They would be able to look at your items and others in peace.

Your booth needs to be styled since it’s not Heather’s favorite have Lexie Lexi Lexy (spell check) 😊or Mama Hooks style with furniture display pieces marked NFS (not for sale)you can also use pallets for display FREE & move items around & dust & never sell chipped items without disclosing on tag no stickers. Decorate in seasonal colors have sales no to busy no shoppers 😀

Busy booth too overwhelming.

I guess once the space is cleared you'd be able to gauge, Decide ahead of time what you are willing to possibly lose if stolen - sad but true. I find "busy booths" overwhelming, A nice display of good items is better than crowded shelves, Also have some small novelty things that will attract kids (followed promptly by their parents) Change up the layout. perhaps think of a "unique item" you can focus on" to draw interest. Not sure what the laws are in your state - but could you have a visitors book & build up a data base and you can send special offers e-mails for weekends or holiday times. Be different & offer something others don't. Gods richest blessings on this new endeavor.

I would have gone in to see what was in the busy both. Just to see what they have some stuff could be a good price.

I would love to come and see your booth, but I don’t live in your state or anywhere near there. But I love going to places like that that are close to me.

Do you have any restrictions on what you can have in your booth. You get cardinal merch sometimes and there was a booth that was all cardinal merch

Over crowded booth woujd put me off .. afraid I'd break something.

I had a friend who rented a space in an antique mall, she had to give it up as it cost more for the rent than she was selling. Antique malls are a dying breed, lots of them are closing.

Congrats! As a fan of shopping at antique malls, my best recommendation is to keep things as organized as possible and create easy pathways for customers. Don’t price things too high - people like to get a bargain and put things on sale when you can.

Do you have have to be there to sell it or do you put numbers on the stuff you sell and then go up front to pay .I like the busy booth.they have a lot of good stuff 😊

busy booth makes me claustophbic.

That clock, is it tall enough to be grandfather clock or grandmother clock. I was at a flea market in Jacksonville Florida.....in 2005. They were asking $2900.00 and it didnt work, and no key. It wasnt tall enough to be a grandfather clock but it was labeled as such.

How does it worked does it not have to managed, how do you pay and how would you know who's payment it is, if its just one pay desk. I'm I missing something??

Oh my gosh, it's a good thing i can't drive anymore, they wouldn't have to move much. That BUSY BOOTH, I would not even venture in. Too much stuff, all jumbled together. Not for me.

Check with the mall before you put stuff in. Antique malls usually want things to be vintage. That I believe is at least 25 years old. Different malls have different rules. So auction finds are what would be top priority.

Wind spinners, some of your beautiful geo stones, outdoor decor for the summer months and then switch that out in the fall for some winter decor...good luck to you..i really enjoy watching your unboxing video's.. God bless you!

Please don’t overstock! That gave me anxiety just watching. Can you add color to the walls or decorate in some way before adding your product? And maybe divide the space into categories instead of mixing it all up like the other spaces.

First I want to congrats you both I think you should keep it simple all the things you have will sell them selfs you have many things and keep the price down like you do on line and in your store GOOD LUCK😊

🇬🇧🦋good luck to you both , coupl of things I could suggest Look at height difference so item at the back are just as easy to see as the front , use little boxed to raise height etc it make area cleaner ,just look at high end stores how they attract foot flow to different products , always change out and move stuff , keep it interesting …. My question would be. Where are the customers. Your walking around and I am not seeing people. You must have people and lots of them to make your rent plus a profit. Over half of the vendors use a flea market booth as a tax write off and they don't care if b they sell or not. Just my opinion after having a booth for 19 yrs

If to much stuff I won't go in cause I would be afraid of breaking. .tuff I wonrvo in afraid would beeak

If you want my honest opinion. Many people walk around and never purchase a thing! I think it's a waste of time and effort in exchange for very little! Keep with your fire sales where you reach a greater number of customers!

You should have different options in items. I know 😢you will do great like everything you do.

I always love seeing movement in the booths. For example, the wind chimes or wind spinners are great to see and it didn't look like your neighbors' booths had anything like that. I tend to get bored seeing the same like items at all of the booths. I shop at antique malls like this a lot but I have never understood why there weren't any of the booth owners there. What happens if a customer has a question and the booth owner isn't there. I love going to flea markets because of the buzz of the people and seeing what they are buying too. I just feel that malls like this are not as friendly as an actual flea market venue. I can't wait to see what you all have in store for your booth and wish you all the greatest of luck! Please make sure things are clean. If I'm at a flea/antique mall and items are dirty,dusty, obviously in disrepair I just leave.

Flea met booth is hard work and something that requires alot of attention if you want to make a profit. I had a booth for almost 10 yrs. If something doesnot sell within 30 days , then most likely it won't sell. You loose alot to people stealing. Believe it or not, in my town, more vendors steal fr other vendors and customers steal from you. I loved it but I just don't see yall having the time but I am a viewer of your site so you might have alot of time. Good luck on your new adventure

My question is were you eating next door and thought you know what we should get a both? We always stop at that antique shop on our way to a game. Fill our tummies next door and find good deals. What more could one ask for

Your Wind chimes would be good. Some are kind of delicate and large to ship.

Start with the items you can't ship, some of your yard art, your antiques, be sure to move around your items, also if something has been sitting for awhile then replace it with a new item. If customers see the same thing always they will get bored with it. People are always looking for new items. New and different from what everyone else has.

Put up posters in your booth with QR codes that link to your website, youtube channel etc.

Don't put too much in a booth. Visually overwhelming. Keep enough space for customers to move around. Use interesting pieces to display your wears that will draw a person in.

I would consider that an antique mall booth vs flea market booth. Sell glassware and ceramics and toys from the 90's and 2000's are hot.

Things I look for at flea markets and antique shops are; Vintage Christmas ornaments. Depression Glassware. Tools. Oil and Watercolor Paintings. Brooches. Gilded Picture Frames. Cabinet Hardware, etc...

Good For Yourself

Please do not display lime a busy booth! As a retailer, you already know to make your signage large and obvious...but for the display case, think transperant....write on a transparency slide/page so that the customers can still see through the sign and still read the message. Tags are fine, but dont have then hang off the shelf in front.
