In this video we work in the garage and work on the DYI Transmission mount for the TJ LJ Conversion Build. We are finally able to have a rolling Chassis for the jeep!
Damn Josh! I remember when I was young and ambitious. That was a really long time ago. It's amazing how much work is involved building a buggy. But, you're doing a really good job. By the way, we have Sand Hollow scheduled for April 15th, heading back to Denver the 19th. You, Ashley and Jeff are more than welcome to join us. 😁
😂. There is tons of work to do. But we are definitely making progress. I definitely underestimated how much time it cost to make custom brackets for everything and not just going the “kit” route. But I’m having fun and learning new things. And it doesn’t need to be done anytime soon. So I can just go out to the garage and tinker whenever. And I really wish we could make it for sandhollow! Hopefully we can make a big trip happen around November this year. I’ll definitely let you know!
Looking great. Wish I was there. I love fabricating brackets. Before you cut your tub in two pieces, you may want to x brace both halves up so it’s easier to weld back together. Watch a RU-vid video and you’ll see what I mean. Awesome job so far. Looking forward to the next video!
Thanks man! And I had tons of fun trying to figure out all that stuff. And thanks for the tip on the x brace. We actually just cut the tub and we just used a cross brace. Hopefully that still helps line it up. This weekend I should know. 😂
