I'm so glad you guys went to the church in Reykjavik - I've heard SUCH great things about that place. Back on the ship, I see you're winning no trophies for the quizzes - maybe we need to team up one day to try and get it in the bag, ha!
Loving this series guys, that cheesy/beer starter dish looks Deeee-lish!! 😋 i honesty can say I could easily have finished that super-duper dessert off without the help of my O/H ( I'm not proud of myself for admitting that 😂) This itinerary is definitely on my bucket list. 👌 Cheers T&D 😊
Loved this video. We spent three days in Reykjavik before boarding a cruise to Greenland. Your video covered many of the places we saw (concert hall, Parliament Square, Viking statue, Hallgrimskirkja). We DID take the Hop-On Hop-Off bus (no ships in port that day). The one thing we saw which I think you missed was the Perlan complex (museum, observatory, restaurant) just outside of town. It was unique, but in my opinion, not a must-do, so I think you made the right decision. We were worried about missing the last bus, and we didn't have a ship to catch that day.
Thank you for watching! Glad we coved most things in a short time. We hope to visit Reykjavik again in the future and maybe cover off some of the things we have missed.
Really have enjoyed all your Iceland and Princess content. We are doing Iceland on the Celebrity Apex this June and your vlogs are really helpful. Just booked the Venture Ashore Golden Circle excursion you did on Enchanted, and already booked the Titanic Experience in Cobh so we don’t miss it. Thanks for all your advice. Can not wait. 😆🚢
Fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing. Apex looks a great ship. The Golden circle is an amazing experience. We must book the Titanic next time. Lesson learnt 🤣
The food on Princess looks so good 🤩 was probably a good thing for the bank you ate back on the ship too 🤣 what is the alcohol in those cocktails? Never seen one like it!! Great video!
Oooh those cheesy chips and hot dog looked yummy! If baked beans were added in with the cheesy chips I would be in food heaven!….. what can I say….. it’s one of my simple pleasures in life! Ha ha! 😂
Would definitely recommend the walk to and from the port if you're there again and you're mobile enough. There is some fantastic artwork along that shoreline that you might otherwise miss, and the Recycled House in particular is astonishing. Yes, we have tried the Minke Whale before. It's got a texture that's decidedly unpleasant, and not a great taste either. Haven't tried puffin but would. We did have guillemot on our first visit to Iceland many years ago and that wasn't too bad if you can get your head around the taste of fishy bird.
You missed two things: 1. Harpa is wonderful: go inside and take time to go around and take photos 2. Invest in the evalator at Hallgrimskirk. Wonderful views on Reykjavik
The early arrival of the disembarkation sheet was also odd for us on our recent Sky Princess cruise. I’m sure they have to plan ahead but even still it’s not the best message - get on / get off.
We always feel much more looked after on Princess. The crew seem much more attentive and have time to chat with you. We do also like their food and their ships feel like they are finished to a slightly more premium standard
No, I do not want to gobble up a whale or puffin. Not even just a little piece. Sign me up for that melted cheese concoction. Maybe to enjoy while whale and puffin watching.
