Well, after all the hard work we have put into our channel, We got allocated a RU-vid Manager to help grow our chanel, I had 1 video call with a list of things to improve the channel. I updated our graphics and tried a few shorts but dropped the shorts as I didn't think our subscribers age bracket watched them. I was also asked to try a membership to which I said I didn't think the age of our subscribers would want a membership.
I show the emails I got from the manager as I have been called a liar as a result of her telling me to do a poll to get the opinion of the subscribers. I did this and we have been now branded "GREEDY and LIARS" Thank you to our RU-vid Manager who instigated all of this and we are very upset that we took your advice above our better judgement. I hope you see this video and see the possible damage you have caused us and the hate we have been subjected to in the poll you asked us to set up.
For all of you genuine subscribers who enjoy our content, I hope you understand that we were only taking advice from a so called expert and in no way has any bearing on us. We are very upset and will do a video when we feel better.

Unfortunately this sort of behaviour seems to be infesting society in general. Every one thinks it's OK to be aggressive and rude towards others, whether it's shop workers or anyone in any public facing scenario. You guys do a great job keeping us informed and entertained. These trolls hide behind their keyboard spewing out their hate. They don't have any life and look for ways to bring people down. If You Tube had anything about it, it would block hate messages and report the people to the police. It is about time that hate comments of any sort were shown to the police then perhaps more and more children and young adults would not take their own lives because that is what it leads to.

Don't take it to heart, you are doing a grand job. I get more from your videos than from any of the so called mastercheifs. I have recently lost my darling wife to cancer, she was a brilliant cook. I am now having to try and pick up the pieces and get on with cooking for myself. You pair are like a breath of fresh air, please don't stop what you are doing, some people are just nasty, I don't know what motivates them, don't let them get to you. From what I’ve heard, YT’s profits had dropped quite considerably in the past year, (due imo to their own censorship practices - not being allowed to voice opinions on a certain former royal couple’s behaviour for example 🤨). This has led YT to push channels into promoting these membership packages & the like, it’s not about trying to assist channel content creators - it’s about clawing back money for YT! Stick to your own moral principles & integrity Martin & Sharon, you are best placed to know what is & isn’t good for your channel, & how you got to where you are today, don’t be brow beaten by what is effectively a YT sales person, it’s interesting how many of the so called advisors are named ‘Sara’!🤨 Personally I’d not be participating in any membership proposals, mainly due to my own financial constraints - ie I’m skint & struggling to feed myself as a recently widowed person living on my own & frightened to put the heating on!😱 Sorry that some people have to be so intentionally nasty & hurtful, neither Martin nor Sharon deserve to be on the receiving end of abuse!🥺 @RU-vid support, tell your your account advisors/managers to stop being so pushy!

Hi Martin, try not to get too dependent on utube as my son has 35k+ subs and has just had his channel demonetised for some strange reason that they came up with which he has no clue why and they won’t tell him. His appeal has been rejected and has to wait until November before he can appeal again, there’s also another boy for some unknown reason has lost all his channel and money and has been banned

I can personally tell you that Martin and Sharon are 2 of the most generous people you can ever meet and certainly not liars. Not only did they help me to grow my channel to over 30k subs Martin personally mentored me and at one point even build me a website to help me on my way. Hate campaigns just wow! I've never seen a more honest channel that tells it how it is.

Our family love all your videos and also on your retrorestore channel. You are both so relatable and real, I cannot see why anyone would think you are being greedy! I totally agree with your views on shorts. I have no interest in watching them, never have, never will and skip by them. Ideally I’d be able to disable them! I think you’re genuine people. Very upsetting to see you in this state; you’re clearly very hurt by this. It’s important that you know that most of us actually appreciate your videos and having uploaded RU-vid videos multiple times a week in the past, I know how much effort you put into them. Anybody who thinks you’re a liar or greedy frankly needs to see a specialist to get their head checked out. You’re the most hardworking and genuine RU-vidrs I know. Keep doing what you’re doing - The channel has grown so much over the past 18 months! I remember when it was still stuck at around 5k subscribers for ages and then you started your air fryer and regular cooking videos and it just shot up out of nowhere! You obviously know how to make enjoyable content and I’m sure you’ll continue to keep growing organically. By the way, I really enjoyed your holiday vlogs. Jealousy. It’s plain to see how genuine both of you are and I love your videos. Don’t ever change, we all love who you are and I’ve recommended your videos to lots of people because of the advice you give. The vacation videos were amazing ! Any fool can see they work hard to produce these videos and have been doing a wonderful job so far WITHOUT taking directions from anyone else. Please don’t do a membership. I’ve seen it on other channels getting people to pay for more content. It only pushes away the subscribers. Block the nasty people who have nothing better to do but try and upset you( they have sad lives)The subscribers love you both because you understand what we need, good honest content. Martin you have to bear in mind there are a lot of jealous minded people around who love nothing better than upsetting someone who is doing a fantastic job. You two should be genuinely proud of what you produce. I’m sometimes concerned that you’re taking negative comments to heart. You don’t have to explain your selves to us or anyone. It’s also clear that you’re put under quite a lot of pressure by RU-vid, and I’m sure that you’re not alone in that. I’ve heard similar comments by other contributors.
