I lucked out I guess with my first 4 kids. I had 2 girls, 15 months apart. Then 3 years later my first boy, with his brother 13 months hot on his heels. Then it was 7 years before my last boy. My brother had a house built in Oregon with Adair homes. He didn’t know til it was too late how that building process went. This was a lot of years ago. They were promised mind you, to be in by Christmas but it was either the next Christmas or the one after that. Adair waited til they had so many houses in a certain area to build. And not for contractors. They didn’t have a lot of choice of what they were getting in the home. And work was shoddy. I wish you luck. 10 years is a long wait….

I thought you was building the house yourself. So you own the land but won’t own the house. You’re just renting it? Because I thought you’ll be paying a mortgage and once it’s paid off it’s yours. And I thought since you was building you’ll get to pick what you wanted not what they said you could choose from. I’ve never heard of you build a house than rent it.

hardwood floors/linoleum is so much easier to keep clean with kids. NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE> saves you tons of cleaning time.

It looks like there’s a huge pile of dirt missing right where all the water overflows and drains down where the animals are. Maybe building that spot up as high as the right side(by that tree it seems higher than all the left side). Hopefully it will stop the water from going that way. Making a new spillway on the right side somewhere so it can go along the back of where the animals are. Along the fence at the back of your property. Whatever you remove from the right side when making the new spillway put all of that on the area you’re wanting to fix(on left). Hopefully that will be just enough and y’all won’t have to find any more dirt. That seems to be a good idea to me. What y’all think? That’s a ton of water when that happens. It’s all traveling to that creek on the other property. Where Brandon got stuck. 😂 😊 I hope Carly is okay. I saw a video I think on other channel where she has something on her neck. Kids growing up very very fast is whats next! Mine did. My girls started out together and by the time the eldest was 14 or so she hated her little sis. Not really, but they are polar opposites in everything. My eldest if still the loner and does so well that way. My other daughter needs the attention of others, dogs, children, parents, family, friends. etc. *MIddle child syndrom?* Even in their adult years with teenagers, they still get along, but better from a distance if you know what I mean. Holidays are fine, but don't ask them to coexist for more than 10 days. lol.

I am so excited for yall. I love all the choices you made on the house. I can't wait til it starts getting built. We are hoping to start a build hopefully by next year. It's just my hubby and I now. Our 5 kids are all grown, but we like to keep at least 3 bedrooms for the grandbabies or if one of our kids needs to come home. I've already started buying stuff for our home.

I really think your beautiful girls should have their own room too!!! Addison is so close to being a teenager at that point she needs her own room!! Girls need their private space !! You deserve it you’ve been waiting so long I think it’s OK for the girls to share their rooms and the boys have separate rooms but sometimes the oldest boy needs a space of his own so a separate room for him is good for Layton and Cayson. i want to say this is none of my business but giving advice meaning to help you in a postive way . looking from the outside i hear the boys always mentioned like their( and i dont know really the word for this ) but it like leighton was going to get to move into the tiny home, like he was 3 or 4 yrs older than addison , my mom was like that i am the oldest and the only girl of my sibling , and there nothing i have ever been able to do to measure up to my brothers, and when my mom got older, it sure wasnt my brothers she came to live with cause she didnt want to put them and their families out her words , but after i got out on my own me and my mom have never had a good relationship since i was addison and i have tried , to this day my mother lives in my home but she really dont have conversation with me but one of my brothers come to visit she get so excited and can talk for hrs, i take good care of her cause the bible says honor your mother and father , and to forgive and i have hoping and praying that it will change, am i not saying you are like this at all , but your older kids are around where the really notice things and i dont want your relationship with ur girls to suffer like mine and my moms has please dont take this negatively

Great idea on the girls room. Yes the dresser will work well, I've done it. Hide the unmentionables when they are ready. Also buy the garment bag type things that have a shelf look. Great for jeans, sweaters, roll up blankets, even shoes. Skies the limit there. I think shelves are use more than hanging when the girls are young. Get them each their own colors. Also when vaccuuming they are off the floor. Get macthing laundry baskets. I have 1 bath so 5 shared. My secret was get eachbtheir own color fav. towels even washclothes. They will fill big to gave their own but will be in a sense a help for you. If one leaves theirs lay you know whos it is and can remind them to hang or add to their laundry. You will keep that your secret!😉 Dont work work with color schemes in shared kids bath just color that compliment each other as they grow and styles change, using their towel colors. Mine now take their towels to their rooms and carry them in with tote baskets with their bathtime a ccessories. So now I can keep a pretty bathroom with my fav. accessories. LOVE what you choes Steph & Brandon, so exciting.
