How did we get here?
After a year of full time travel living the van life, we had to adapt when the world changed. To keep busy we’ve converted our tiny house on wheels into a fully functioning off grid home that has everything we need. Realizing that none of us know how long this new normal will stick around, we made the decision that building a home here was the best decision we could make. We've spent the last year doing EVERYTHING involved with coordinating and planning the build ourselves as well as setting up this off grid property to be able to provide us with the the food we'll need in the future. That led us to needing a place to live while we realized our dream of building a shipping container home. After lots of searching we finally discovered Geodesic Dome's and it was the perfect fit for us while we took our time with the container home.

This is obviously a VERY different style video than or normal Sunday uploads but I just wanted to say, we had much fun recording this! Typically when we do a Q&A video we blast through as many questions as possible but taking our time and really chatting through our answers felt so nice. Believe it or not, the FULL version of this video was over an HOUR long...what do we all think? Are we all finally ready for the Podcast?? 🤔. Also, we meant what we said...any other questions you have we'll do our absolute best to get back to you in the comment section. PS. Did you catch that NEXT Sunday the container home is starting again?! EEEEEK!!! See you Sunday xoxo

Greetings from Chiapas, Mexico. It was really frowned upon for many years, as well as illegal in Mexico, as well. Now since 2017 we have marriage equality, too. Holding things up were a combination of church and a macho society. Perseverance is the correct word. I'm 68 years old and I never thought I'd see these huge changes in my lifetime here. I so hope that things start to change in Zimbabwe.

@@sufyanlowel4631 9 year olds have lots of weird ideas, because they are (wait for it) nine years old which means they are children. It's kind of weird for a 9 year old to make any pronouncement about sexuality tbh which makes anything they say about their future.... not so reliable. the kid in question may or may not be gay and that won't be clear (even to the kid himself) until sometime after puberty. being supportive is one thing but this sounds like projection for attention.

I know you said your intention isn’t necessarily to help straight people understand the community, but it’s something you do so beautifully. I’m a conservative Christian guy from Texas, and I can’t wait for your videos each Sunday. You’re an inspiration to people in so many areas of life. When I stumbled onto your channel, I knew very little about the LGBTQ community. You’ve done so much to open my mind and to understand a culture to which I had little exposure. While I consider myself an ally, I found you through my off grid gardening/homesteading interests. You ‘normalize’ your relationship as simply two people who build, argue, grow, create, banter, love, learn and are always very witty! I don’t watch because of who you love; your just two very amusing humans who make me laugh and teach me a lot.

A beautiful thing I learned from Todd.. I remember being mad at Tyler for snapping at Todd in the RV when he was dealing with vegetables and in a mood. Todd backed off and gave Tyler space to work it out. instead of snapping back, like most of us would likely do. I was so impressed. I noticed even it Todd's feelings were hurt or not, right after they were fine and happy and it was over,, like over.. not talked about or drug out. it just didn't exist. It was a life lesson for me that sometimes a person just needs the space to work something out and they deserve that space.. Thanks Todd and Tyler.. and Tyler, you cute handsome man, I was mad only for that second until I witnessed what true love looked like from that experience. xooxxo who could be mad at either one of you precious people.

These question and answer videos open up so much more about you guys. When I started watching you, the dome had not been built. I was looking at home build videos, and yours was suggested. What I didn’t expect was the relationship side of the videos. The videos were not cutesy or cheesy, but rather wholesome and informative as well. I think you give confidence to those who would like to be in a gay relationship, but worry that there wouldn’t be any reason to stay together once the lust disappeared. You show us that through all you do, which is more than most of us, that you can have a healthy relationship. I came for the build, I stayed for the love. You guys are terrific!❤❤

I love you two, and your fur babies too. Watching all that you go thru together has opened both my eyes & my heart to LGBTQ relationships. Quite honestly, your relationship seems so much more loving than the conventional relationships I’ve experienced. Thank you for opening up your lives to the You Tube world. You give me hope that finding my happy place is still possible.

I just love watching you two build your life in the woods, and deeply appreciate your sharing it with us. The challenges you've faced and have overcome, and the grace/good humor with which you've done it, is a great example of how to not let adversity get one down (at least, not past the edits😉).

Gosh I SOOO enjoyed today's video , Darlings.. It's been a huge week of events for me over on this side of the ditch (the pacific ocean). some great, and some really not great at all, and when I saw your video, I settled in to watch, but, now - at the other end of it, your peace.. your calm.. your relaxation and honestly just the ability to feel like I'm sitting in the room slothing with you both has literally lifted my spirits like a mumma's soothing embrace. I know I've said it before, but, I literally adore you both and I'm so freaking proud of what you do, and how well you do it. I love how considered your actions and your responses are.. I love the very obvious respect and love you have for each other, and I really echo the gentleman from Uraguay's comment, that the privilege of watching two darling guys in a loving relationship has been wonderful - and my take on it - is that it's simply exposed me to more special and elevated love and broadened the way I exist. Please... never change, Darlings..

YEA! Its Sunday! And that means the Tyler & Todd show is on! Y'all crack me up. I need to add that I agree with the poster about you guys modeling a healthy relationship, and yes representation is so important. I'm blessed with a great relationship but I rarely see great relationships other than ours, no matter the orientation. The world needs more love, so happy to see you both just being yourself and educating any who are ignorant as to what it looks like. You are perfect the way you are.

YAY to the person from Uruguay! About the statement you made about you wanting to hire out the projects and sitting back and watching: WAIT, in a few months you will find yourselves doing just that with all the MAJOR project completed to usefulness, then sitting back and watching will be you guys sitting back and enthralled with all you have accomplished over the past {only} 5(?) years and knowing !!you did it all!!. Few things in your lives will give you more joy over a longer period than this. For me, It's been a joy watching you each week building your HOME, and the brains that it's taken to do it just as you wanted. As I've said before, I've been watching you guys since you were just on the road in your trailer and I've never been disappointed in my weekly participation in your adventures. Again, thanks for sharing.

Hi, it is such a joy to be able to watch you both every week. I lost my companion of 32 years a couple of years ago, so I love being the "fly-on-the-wall" each week and seeing you just live your life. You have such a wonderful balance together. It's great to see that you have figured out how to be yourselves together. I also love those moments where you don't see the things the same way, but you are able to get thru them without losing you sense of humor, most of the time. 👍You both have so much work left to do and I will be watching every week. Make the most of every moment. You deserve it.

Rob and I would very much like to see a cost breakdown on your projects when they are finished. You guys have one of the healthiest and most authentic relationships I have seen gay or straight! This is coming from someone who has been married for 44 years and counting. Rest up and enjoy each other and Charlie, Eddie and Lily! See you next Sunday!🤗💕
