Jonathan, I am looking at your rock (backfill material) would you consider it a 1/4 minus material? I sometimes hear americans refer to rock by #,, like they say #56 stone, we don't use those terms in canada. I want to know what to use under my pool and for backfill. I was thinking 1/4 inch?

Yes we do both. We use a 3/8- crushed for our base and then a 3/4- for the side of the pools. All of the hard to get places we use the same 3/8- way easier to move. If the backfill got too complicated then we use a flowablefill. As far as impossible to reach places.
