Maybe if no-one voted we could change the way democracy works. The people lose the power every single time, and give it to corrupt politicians who are owned by big business and the military. Those you don't see. There is no transparency. They open gov depts without the consultation of the people. It's the same the world over. When are humans going to work it out and say fk this. I want to see referandums on major issues like going to war for other countries. Financing other countries wars, taxes, healthcare, education and pensions. Until no-one votes you won't get this. Half the US doesnt vote, it's not a true representation anyway of what the collective want. Maybe the other half have worked it out, no-one should vote and then change can be demanded and met.
This is right. One of the best things in Australia is that we must vote. Our government is not perfect, not at all, but voting is the one thing we all should have a say in, because it is the only say we truly have in who governs us, and we should treasure that and exercise that power for all it is worth.
Instead of throwing out fascistic thoughts like this, it would be wiser to encourage the reminder of just how important it is to register to VOTE, then actually get the vote out. I have seen this mentality coming a long time. In 1967 I was in the 9th grade. Some guy was 18 and still in 9th grade. One day he came in to school enraged because a rock station was being started on the FM band in 1968. He said this violated someone else's private property and said the FCC would shut it down. He said he wanted to hear country music. I told him there were other stations playing country music. He argued that it was his right to hear what he wanted on that frequency, and telling him to tune to another frequency to hear what he wanted was unconstitutional. I am certain he is maga now.

It's disturbing to think people like these are able to vote. I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to vote. I fully support their right to vote.
