I found out that a topless thimble is a tailor's thimble. I love your channel, my husband was a rubbage picker back in the 70's and 80's. We lacked for nothing. I believe in reusing and upcycling what we can. I commend you for doing just that and sharing it with us.😊

I love watching you too gals find your little treasures are used to hunt Indian arrowheads in freshly plowed fields and like you said a good rain come along and wash the dirt off the surface rocks made them easier to fine. I found tomahawks spearheads totally clear arrowhead red arrowheads. Unfortunately my legs are shot now I can’t walk but I got good memories. Thanks for sharing your heart with me.❤😊

Love your channel, it’s one of very few decent mudlarking videos on RU-vid. Most of the others just don’t hit the mark when it comes to quality content, well filmed/edited videos and diversity. Your passion for the hobby shines out, like you’re really enjoying yourselves unlike so many that seem to have lost that energy and are clearly doing it for the “likes” and 💰

Fancy finding so many beads and keys all together...yes indeed. I do fancy actually. I think groups of anything is because someones home has had a clear out. Maybe after someone passing. Draws full of bits and bobs just put in the bin. There's only so much some folk can stand to do. What you and i would treasure, just gets put in the bin. Along with so called junk jewelry. You'd think there would be more beads found together. It's a very interesting site to go larking by that river. You always seem to find lots of different and interesting bits and bobs there. The keys were quote amazing really. Someones treasured collection. Thanks for taking us along. Always enjoyable. 😊x

The twisted wire might be a brush of either wire or soft bristles. The brass item you mentioned might be for gas, is actually a valve stem to put air into an inner tube for a tire.

Hello Gail and Alex! That was a fun adventure, so many treasures just waiting to be found. I was shocked at all the beads and keys...wow, how amazing. And definitely can't forget about that silver chain hiding in the bank...great find as well. I think I've asked before but is the "field of dreams" still there? The twisted wire with a loop at the end is probably a gimlet, used for starting holes for wood screws.

The thing that looks like a brass pipe I think is a valve stim for a truck or tractor where you put air in the tire.

That u shaped metal thing in the river is a lamp harp. It is used for lamp shades so they don't sit directly on the bulb.
