Here in Australia the speed feed is marketed by Shindaiwa (same company just a different name badge) The advantage I find is that parts are available, so for each head I run, I end up replacing 2 - 3 caps and 1 - 2 sets of eyelets. If I am lucky, I don't need to replace the spring, and when the heads wear out I keep the springs just in case one of the sproings of into the weeds and can't be found. Wouldn't use any other head at this point in time.

Next time use break clean then use oil dry. All the oil will come up then.

Hey, any ideas on curbing supply chain issues? I tried ordering a new mower (a multi force and a John Deere 661R) and they are telling me they aren't even in production, I've called 5 dealers, this crazy.

Herding bunnies with a mower, a first. It isn't easy to clean up a rough construction zone, and with traffic going by. It is turning out looking neat. (Was the hole danger a rabbit burrow or something else?)

SHAWN Paul's lawn and garden in Massillon has the replacement caps for the eco speed feed! I got 1 in preparation of the one I have wearing out!! Not sure if you have an eco dealer closer to you then that just letting you know!! I just cut a badly over grown lawn yesterday in Wooster. It hasn't been cut at all this year. I had to rent a billygoat brush hog! To knock it down and then 4 passes with the grand stand and 2 sets of blades got it down to 4 inches.

I just can't imagine wanting to throw my trash around other peoples' property. Some litter is almost inevitable. I think most of us have experienced a wrapper or a piece of paper blowing away from us on a windy day, and it's across 3 lanes of traffic before you can even think about grabbing it. But this much is deliberate.

I do like the bright shirts y’all wear but when working along the highway like you were, sure would like to see you in hi-vis tops at least. Don’t worry about that trash. “The lawn care guys will pick it up”. Should have called the 1-800 on the dumpster and had the company to send their lazy driver back out! Another thing I notice is silt fencing and land erosion regulations. Where does most of that end up? In a landfill no doubt!

The first time is always the worst. You have to figure it all out. You can't always get the gravy jobs so make the best of what you do. You bought a trimmer head for heavy material whu don't you use it in the overgrowth and save the string for where it works best. That heavy trimmer could save you time AND labor in an area like this! Work smarter not harder, Right?

You should consider a walk behind trimmer for spots like that. I'm getting old and my back is JACKED up, I am thankful for the invention. lol

Get a tractor and bush hog save your mowers for what they made for finish cutting. I would have cut that in about 30 minutes with a bush hog

Hey Shawn, you worried me getting mower unstuck. Back injury is something you definitely don't want to happen. At 25 I had a life changing injury, after major surgery and reconstruction of lower spine I was able to continue to work. Now at 72 years old , the old pain and loss of movement is back. This is how I'm living my final life journey. Please be careful my friend. Enjoy your videos, keep on keeping on. ❤️🙏😎🇺🇲

Rabbits are the worst nightmare for a gardener, they will mercilessly decimate every single plant they can find. Nothing worse than pouring your heart and soul into a nice garden and those MFs destroy it all in an hour. I do everything I possibly can to get rid of them and keep them out of my yard, they have even trashed my lawn eating newly seeded grass as well. Love seeing the neighborhood feral cat catching those demons

God be with you that when you were trimming all the way down that busy street! It would be tough to put faith in the people driving those cars that they are paying attention and not using their phone, sleepy, eating, putting on makeup, etc, etc, etc….

The way i handle the trimmer end when it dose that is wrap one layer of duct tape below the two eyelets to create a little cup and pour in a 1/4 of 2 part epoxy to act as a wear disk and off to the races i go....surface has to be very clean with alcohol and a toothbrush.....it will vibrate a little till it wears in......little penny pinching tip ......your mileage may very...not available in all states ....tested in mexico .......

Guards won't keep rocks from hitting you or from breaking anything if you're not careful. I take mine off so that I can see what I'm trimming better plus I use more string than what the guard would allow.

Foe oil stains I just use clay based kitty litter and do a little jig on top. Takes the stain right out and the bags are really cheap. That was a lot of work, a lot of trimming and a lot of garbage ( and you get to pick up some of it again ). It looks so much better. Those bunny holes will snap an ankle or knee, when you see baby rabbits keep an eye out for booby traps! I'm on my first Spèedfeed head trimmer, when neither of my cheap store brand trimmers would start I got an attitude, went and bought an echo trimmer with the speedfeed 400 already on it. Just like when I finally bought my Stihl chainsaw back in 2015 or so, should've done it a long time ago. Good machines make life so much better and I quit wasting time on stupid stuff like winding trimmer string or taking 3 minutes to cut through a 16" diameter log with a new chain after 2 cuts for my storebrand chainsaw. Hi, I still think ECHO makes the best trimmer ever made. I have one still but I am too old to use it anymore. We used to get cutting line in a 5 gallon bucket that fed out the top @ the mower dealer.
