Regarding GX, there are few options with what to go for. -remain as it is, Rare Hunters -shadow raiders. Their goals are similar, but different. One wished for lover, another for youth, another for playthings? Now they weren't after the cards, but keys that held the sacred beasts in prisoned. -working for Chazz? In 2nd episode Chazz challenged Jaden to a duel, where the loser had to give their best card to the winner... Like what you're doing! -society of light! Brainwashed like some Rare Hunters. Their goal is to convert everything to the light and follow Sartorius. The arc where light=bad basically. Any other will change this drastically... I guess.

Ah, to spice it up you can have a revenge match up. Let's say duelist A lost to duelist B. In next part, duelist A can request a revenge match to win the card they lost. But only once for same card, it has to be the next episode and if they fail, it's duelist B's card from now on. And you can only request that if the card was originally yours, to avoid back and front matches for same card at stake.

Paul nearly always loses it seems like because Alec just literally gets strictly better cards. It's becoming boring seeing Man-Eater Bug and Trap Hole over and over and over again defining games.

Hahah yes! I made the same mistake back in the day. When Horace those six says he's unaffected by any spell cards that includes your own! So yes it should have stayed at 2,300 power

Paul also could have killed Solar Flare with Armed Dragon cos SFD’s protection only works if the player that controls it has other Pyro monsters

Horus was fav design but I ran a armed dragon deck back in high school as my main deck for atleast a year

Been getting back into yugioh with with an RP with some friends and it's really given me a deep appreciation for non-Armed Dragon LVs. Especially Silent Magician (My character's Ace monster!!!)

All he needs is Infernal Flame Emperor and he has the full burn starter deck.

turn player priority always existed its just priority also exist for certain effect at this time what this means if i am right is end phase alec would of gotten to make first move as it a open game state he delcare the effect of solar flare then paul could of chained book but at that point too late he still get burned and like paul said if he did it in main phase alec could of just reflipped it

@@Yugiohdeckmaster41 it’s not a priority issue though, it’s a procedural one. Any effects that occur at the end of turn, do so at the very end of the End Phase (after gameplay checks like hand size etc) so as nothing new was added to the field, no replay occurs and Book of Moon, at the start of the End Phase, flips Solar Flare Dragon down and stays down. I’ve not played this game since 2010/2011 so it could’ve changed since that time, I’m open to being wrong about it in modern rules.

Yeah was thinking that too, and as others have said, Horus LV6 not being affected by Molten Destruction. Still, an entertaining duel

He can't just Book it before it activates because the turn player gets to decide whether or not to use effects first and there is no reason for him to let it be Booked so it's going to be first in the chain 100% of the time here. It doesn't need to be face up on res. This kind of thing where you book or tribute something on the field that would otherwise be negated is how you get around a lot of effects like Lance, Veiler, or Skill Drain. Unless there is a specific condition that's not being met by not being face up on the field for resolution, it doesn't stop it. Another example off the top of my head because I've been looking into the archetype recently is Fortune Fairy Water. If it's special summoned and there is another Fortune Fairy on the field you can draw 2 cards. Say you only have Dark alongside that specialled Water. If they then respond to Water's effect by booking your Dark they have wasted a Book of Moon because you still draw 2 cards. In both cases, the condition for activation has been met and there are no further restrictions on it, so unless you can negate/modify the specific effect the resolution is handled normally. If, for example, Solar Flare Dragon said "deal 500 points of damage for every SFD face up on the field" then it would resolve without effect in this case but that is not, in fact, it's effect.
