The door fell off our Jayco 24.75-3 Silverline
and We show you how we repaired it
Not sure how this happened but no one is to blame!
This is why we use a checklist when ever we depart this is the one time we didn't as we were only relocating to Havelock.
It didn't turn out to be a major repair and easily done by any handy man

No "Bloody Kids" to blame for that one.

This may not be what you think. Had the same thing happen but 100% the door was latched. Turns out the part inside that the latch secured to was fitted to far back so the latch was only just reaching. They could tell by the wear marks. Little bit of wind and door gone…. Never to be found! Replaced and covered under warranty.

Hey Greg with the cargo hatch departing I have checked mine and the arms that lock that side don't protrude into the main structure as far as they do on the other door This may be a design fault No wonder they can fly open Cross check yours with the other side it may not have been caused by any error on your part

Yes I too have now modified it to protrude more... I had a look at a few other vans and they are all very similar. You are on the money with "design fault" I think, I will see what I can get done about it when Im next in for a service and advise, thanks For watching Cheers Greg

Good handyman work there Greg! One design feature you would think every motorhome and caravan would have is that all hinged door and hatches swing the other way so windflow almost keeps them closed. Back on the road now though, where to now?

Hi Greg. You may want to review your audio before uploading matey. Yes I don't know why Jayco hinge their caravan doors so that they open into the wind, very odd but you did a great job 10 out of 10.👌👍
