Halo community never fails to deliver. This is so impressive I can't imagine all the time and effort into making this and figuring out the scripting. Great work keep it up!
Incredible work so far! I'm very much looking forward to the future of this endeavor. Inspiring. Loved the clips at the end, would great to see @LVTHalo cast one of these.
Thanks so much man means a lot coming from you! And yeah I know tbh that's the goal I'm striving for, be able to run tourneys on it with the LVT crew casting! 3 of 'em have already taken it for a spin so I think that's a good sign 🙏
Wow, I've been waiting for a solid, working battle royale on Infinite. There's a lot of cool map concepts, but nothing seems to play out like this does. Great work!
The playtests I have participated in have been really fun and memorable moments on infinite. Can confirm Halo works really well with Battle Royale game modes. Can't wait to see what you do in the future!
Awesome! Definitely enjoyed the play test a few weeks back. Can’t wait to play again! Great work! Super excited for what the future has in store with this project. Keep up the great content!
Skisma doing the work of the Gods with this one! It’s been amazing seeing the progress, and can’t wait to see what this becomes for you and for our community! ✊🏽❤️
i think you can make smoother pelican movement by interrupting the script. basically move object over 2 seconds but retrigger and interupt it every 1.5 seconds. i think lag happens with 1 long single movvement script because its trying to be too perfect. this method is more flexible
I'll for sure look into that! The only thing is it's smooth until players stand on it. Like, if you watch it from the ground or while you're falling it has no issue there.
What we found in early tests was that there is a max amount of objects you can translate at once, so we had to make a custom translate function where we teleport each object a tiny bit every tick. That's why it works great in local, where you have a tick per frame, but not smoothly when played online, where there's a slower and unstable tick. We are exploring new ways with welded objects; it looks promising but it brings its own set of problems too!
@@Klen85 sounds like you should use a simpler pelican model with less objects and use translate objects. what was the max number of objects you were able to translate at once?
Maybe for the circle, or, danger zone, the announcer voice lines for last Spartan standing can be used somehow. You may know the ones "Danger Zone incoming!"
I'm sure drop pods can be used in other methods like spawning a teammate or an extraction type mode but your going to need for advance scripting and ai for that good luck with your gamemode
Eh, I can't really use my old method without moving up the entire map to simulate the pod falling. But if we get drop pod assets in the future then it's a whole different ball game 😎
While I'm sad that you couldn't get the drop pod to work, the moving ship is definitely a cool alternative. Can't wait to see the final version! Also, will you consider releasing the drop pod you made as a prefab for forgers to use on their maps?
Thank you! And tbh idk if I'll be able to retrieve that drop pod because I made it on the leaked build. I'll look into it after I release the BR and if possible then for sure!
Thank you but sadly they don't work for these objects. I'm in the middle of implementing the new loot system which uses this label method though 😁 I just had to use a different object entirely and for the action, instead of destroying I have an interactible switch 👌
Thanks man, I started live-building the official map on my twitch about a week ago! Can't wait to get it into everyone's hands 🙌 If you wanna play it early join the discord! 😁
@@Skisma_ I did enter the discord yesterday:) looking forward to trying out your awesome work man. I always thought a battle Royale with halo mechanics would be really really great. This end video proves it to me!!
Normally yes, but not these special destructible objects unfortunately. They work in Forge but not in custom games :/ That's why we're moving to the new loot system which uses different objects.
There's no multi-team mode right now but I have seen some others do something similar regarding this so it's definitely in the plans. I want solos, duos, trios, and quads eventually! Great thing about 24-player lobbies is it's divisible by all 4 of these 😊
This is crazy good. Regarding the circle shrinking, doesn't the Last Spartan Standing mode have a shrinking circle? Or is that just not available in Forge right now?
Not at all, the two are vastly different and the only similarity they have is both being FFA elimination modes. I'm basically making a whole new game within a game. Random dropship, glide mechanic, armor system, healing system, looting system, random zone system (LSS is one single zone), etc.
Thank you! But sadly I lost this prefab because I built in on the leaked build before Forge came out :/ There are banished drop pods now though so maybe those will help you 😁
Not at all, because at the very least it is still great portfolio work to have under my belt. But also no one really knows the truth about Tatanka, some say it's been scrapped and some say it's still a thing. But hasn't even been announced yet so unless they shadow drop it like Apex, chances are it's a ways away and my goal for this BR is to hold peeps over until then 😁
I want tooo! Currently all hands on deck trying to finish the map and don't have time to edit videos 😭 For now, you can catch me streaming the build process on Twitch if you'd like 😁 Might start streaming more on YT soon as well.
It's still a WIP and unreleased at the moment, but if you want to play it early while it's still in development you can join up in the next playtest via the discord! 😁
I guess you're not including all the bi-weekly season 4 updates so far, the content on the way, such as firefight, forgeable campaign AI, new vehicles, weapons, maps, and modes? Or all 11 maps added this season alone to Infinite? Or the restored cut content from OG Halo games available for free on MCC, or the creation of official mod tools for MCC and full mod support for it? Or Halo Infinite's forge. Or anything they've done with MCC. Or anything the new 343 team has done since January. Ignoring all that, yeah, I guess the new management's slacking off pretty hard :/
@@bobafett3035 Yes. It's a massive rock with "cope" written all over it. It protects him from the painful notion that he might have to change his opinion on something someday.
Nothing about this merits any copyright strike as I'm not remaking/copying assets from any other franchise/BR. Everything is original and my take on a Halo BR 😊
