Maybe he’s still trying but just slipping. I know I’m trying, but when I eat out with family I’m not vegan. He could’ve used beyond meat though, it’s super similar. I’m slowly getting us to go to places with vegan options, but it’s a process. I figured out that if I tried to become vegan cold turkey (lol) I end up failing, so I’ve just been slowly changing. I don’t eat out often, but sometimes my parents will surprise each other with pizza. Hard to say no when I’m hungry.

You can only lose weight being in a calorie deficit. He can be on any diet he wants as long as it’s below maintenance calories he can’t just eat all he wants

@@LavelleNewYork you can eat more volume on a plant-based diet because its less calories than meat and dairy etc. Also it has a lot of fibre which is good for satiation and good for the colon. Also a whole foods diet that is mostly carbohydrates rarely gets stored as fat because it’s a very rare proces in the body to convert carbs to fat to store it, carbs mostly nourish our bodies and the excess gets stored as glycogen in muscles for later use or the body burns it up.

@@mrssparta4594 sure maybe in terms of volume that type of diet might be best but the idea of eating as much as he wants is no good. Ethan can probably get away with eating like 2,000 calories a day and doing some very light cardio even an inclined walk and he will lose a sustainable amount of weight each week. I think he should just get a calorie tracking app and not worry about a real diet.

Cheese is low carb. Keto is less than 20 carbs that was a very low carb meal, but not recommended for the high fat content and I dont think cheese whiz or kraft slices are a good idea at all on Keto even if “technically” its low carb.
