We're delighted at how the installation of our custom windows went! It was a long process to complete, but oh so worth it! However, it was not without its stresses... If this hadn’t gone well, we could risk the windows coming loose while driving, leaking all over the place, or even being a danger in a crash. These windows are triple-glazed, hardened/tempered, and won’t leave us dealing with insulation or condensation issues! The thickness of each window is roughly 4.4cm. Hope you enjoyed this video and are getting some new ideas for your own build!

We’re Ladi (from Czechia) & Margaret (from USA) and we’re a location independent couple of 4+ years, currently spending 2020 in eastern Czech Republic due to the pandemic. This channel is centered around our favorite things: eBikes, campervans, and cats (mostly Millie, lol) Our world has definitely changed a lot since Covid-19 impacted our travel plans, but we hope to soon be back on the road with our awesome eBikes and little Millie Kua Maha, who is quite the traveler herself, and probably the most popular one in our little trio. The long awaited roof windows finally happened! We’ve really liked making videos like this (that start & end with a single project) and would like to hear your feedback! We’re thinking of slowing down the build videos down a bit to properly capture projects in a single episode, instead of “vlogging” our way through the whole build, scattering multiple projects over multiple weeks. We thought that might make the build easier to follow & reference back to in the future! Would love to know your thoughts below, as that would mean build videos would be a bit more sporadic. Let me know & have a great week! EDIT: If anyones interested in doing something similar to this, you NEED to make sure it is safe and legal in your country. We've done the steps and the research, but every van is different, every country is different, and safety is vital in this lifestyle. Please don't just replicate what you see without taking the proper steps first :)

How about both? Vlog while you’re building then create a series of project videos. That way we get our Ladi & Margaret fix (The way you interact as a couple is very cute) and how-to single project videos.

You both are simply EPIC! Not only is Ladi a super craftsman with an admirably meticulous attitude but you are SOO much fun to watch too. I am planning my own first campervan - space planner of 20yrs - and decided I wanted at least 1 huge roof window over the bed space but hadn't seen anyone do just that and here you are. Oh and the huge watertank under the van is another idea I wanted to implement but hadn't seen it done. The heating system is genius. While I won't be building it myself, whoever is going to work on this will have to watch ALL your videos. If you're aware of anyone based in the UK that could take this on for me early next year, I'd love to hear! Your space use ideas and reasoning behind it all is so clearly explained for those who have never done anything like this before and the parts lists are a wonderful way to share all the experience you guys have garnered during your life on the road. Thank you! and who knows, one day we may meet on the road.

Yes even on the top the extra bits he glued on the top of the van so it made indents disappear! Love the finesse you used to execute this job!

The fact that the windows are slightly tilted just shows you guys thought about literally EVERYTHING. It's so great! If I ever get to build my own van when I finish university, I will be referring back to your videos so much, I'm sure it will improve my initial layout by at leat 150%

Never mind. This was amazing work by Ladi. And he's thinking about everything. Like gluing from the top, to see the leak straight away instead of it seeping between the outer and inner wall.. Thank god, finally a van build where someone treated the wood. I found your playlists today and am binge watching all of it. I love the attention to detail. Seems rare in the van community. I don't know if I could be a full-time van-lifer but it would be a cool way to vacation here in the US. Showing so much of the process makes you realize how much goes into it but how accessible it actually is if you're willing to do the work.

The light is amazing! We have these same level window ...3 layers of glass with Aragon gas in between and they work so well in winter and summer! Our room is family room with 2 walls of glass and that leads out to patio deck like area!

Hey, guys loving the build Quality its super high, I have some advice for Ladi when masticating it's best to use the push technique it fills the void when you see a small bead in front of the gun the void is full, let it cure then remove overburden. I'm a time serve construction supervisor manager and have been on factory training courses with the big mastic firms, I have refurbed many towerblock 32 story the highest with upward of 60 openings per floor hoping you appreciate this observation and the tip helps you move you to an even higher level, best wishes Mike R

I love the idea of doing the single project videos, for the very reasons you stated. Hubby and I are renovating our 1988 Okanagan E250 and love videos that do single projects. It gets frustrating otherwise to try and follow and get how to get the tips and tricks that others have done before. Love your review videos (yet with all the folks that do review videos I have yet to see one on the Okanagans). Really loving this new build, thanks to you both for sharing. Y'all are awesome! I’m impregg’ing any wood in my conversion with resin- either epoxy or polyester resins (with 10% acetone)- to strengthen, remove any food for mildew, seal out pests, and rigidify for the earthquake vibrations on and off-road. My hatch windows will be tempered glass outside, plexi inside.

thats awesome 👏 very creative!!! i added a skylight when i first started my build and had to take it out because it created an oven like effect in the van. Great to see an alternative if i ever get a bigger van this design is awesome you get the skylight but dont give up the much needed space for solar panels 🤓
