My mom made the best pecan pies. Everyone loved a raved about them. Friends would pay her to make the pies for them. She used store bought crust and the recipe was on the back of the dark karo corn syrup bottle. Lol. Anyway I remember her using that recipe and subbing oatmeal for the pecans for something different from time to time.

If ever a piece of pie needed a scoop of vanilla ice cream it would be this one. I'd down the thing with a cup of coffee. It looks excellent.
