i'm not even kenyan but i lived in kenya before, been to nigeria long enough to evaluate lagos, and ibadan (sadly not abuja), visited 12 african countries, living in englad now but i can tell you Kenya is literary the best place in the world, not only for great holidays etc but if you wanna find a country where you'd wanna spend a boring forgettable wednesday without wishing you were somewhere else, Kenya is the place, and not just in the capital nairobi, you'll not feel differently in other cities like kisumu, mombasa, nakuru, naivasha it's just one giant wonderful place. Congratulations to the Kenyans for creating a wonderful country

So excited to follow you along on this journey. I visited Kenya for the first time early this year and felt almost immediately, it was a place I could see myself moving to on the continent if I decided to leave the States for any true length of time. I've visited several countries in East, West and Southern Africa and only ever felt that way in spurts about S. Africa. I am African American, so have no real ties to Kenya - and that will likely be the thing that holds me back, so seeing how you personally adjust and deal with the transition (while knowing that you also have the benefit of your husband's immediate ties) will SO help in my own decision making. Thanks for sharing with us - fairly new subscriber here.

I love that your WiFi concerns are no longer an issue here in Kenya 🇰🇪. Actually, Kenya has faster internet speeds than some Western countries. Kenya and Madagascar have the fastest internet speeds in Africa. Really love that you moved here. I have traveled the world quite a bit, and to Nigeria more than any other African country (mostly on business travel)...and trust me, I understand why you chose Nairobi over Lagos. As for getting to know on what to get where in Nairobi...I’m right here. My husband proposed to me in Diani and it will forever remain one of my favourite places. I sometimes go back to watch my Diani vlog because of how Amazing my experience was there. There is still no power in Nigeria 24/7, it’s generator and inverter that is helping us.
