This lesson struck me to the heart as Lord reminded me at my confirmation at 9 years that because of the love in my heart for him I would suffer terrible agony seeing all who hate Him. They would reject me for my pursuing His glory...Lord God have mercy upon us...

Glory to You, O Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of Your Father, amen. I am lacking this sensitivity, myself. I remember St. Paisios saying that the Spiritual person is all pain... Now I have a taste of that understanding, and of my hard-heartedness and lukewarm faith in God. Thank you, Fr. Peter.

Yes Father! This loss of collective contact of Gods grace outside of the Church, where it has been isolated to in our collective lives, leaves one faint with dawning realization. But on the other hand that grace remains unmoved and unmovable as a kind of mysterious net and it is just waiting for us who have run back to God in His Church to stay aware and praying to His grace for us as we go about our day. And we can very easily pray to the Saints to help us!

I used to have pain of heart, fast, pray, listen to the fathers, now I eat a lot. What do I do? I am afraid and rationalize sin. What do I do? I left the remnant. I want to repent.

As a protestant I had to back off from the world because it was causing me too much pain. The positive is that I've filled the space with reading the Bible, but I worry that God wants me to a light but am I hiding my light?

@@theTavis01 You may be right but probably for the wrong reason. The only good reason for your coming would be encountering Orthodoxy to be reconciled to His Church. We could hope. But as of now in your pride it seems you think yourself a guide; that your vain speculations are useful; that someone might benefit from your opinions against Holy Orthodoxy. This is delusion.
