The reanimated opening is in celebration of the anime hitting it's 1000th episode. The show currently has 1072 episodes (as of making this comment ofc)

We don’t skip the intros as fans , at least not always , if the episode is hype we do , but we actually enjoy seeing the songs and most of us try to follow the Japanese songs and learn them , great video tho guys excited to see more

Started the color manga a few weeks ago and it’s surreal to go through more than 20 years of writing and drawing from Oda and still being surprised as the story continues. One Piece must certainly be a rewarding story for those who’ve followed it for a long time.

Let me say... there's no creepier place than the "cupcake" place 😂 I like how you are bewildered at what pops up in every island they go to. The one piece openings kinda follow the same vibe and you might think there's no impact but the voice actors singing, the color spreads that they include from the manga version, etc are enjoyable if you are a big fan and follower. The music I agree is just fine.

The show gets very deep! Racism, genocide, politics. The theme songs are generally cheerful and the crew together so that way we can get those moments that we end up missing in the later episodes after the plot takes over

A little fun fact about the "Yes we got superpowers!" one: As you guys guessed its inspired by power rangers. BUT its the One Piece equivalent, the so called "Germa 66" and they are world famous. In the popular comic "Sora, Warrior of the Sea" the Germa are the main antagonist of the marine hero Sora. Even tho this is obvious propaganda to join the marines, the story, adventure and action of this comic led to a wide fanbase across the planet. And funnily their biggest fan seems to be, the otherwise serious and "too adult for this" kinda char, the same voice as Levi, Trafalgar Law! With this we learned more about the in world media and the anime team created this sick intro as if its only missing the "sponsored by Sora, Warrior of the Sea" part. A verry cool and fun detail turned into a joke and even intro :D

They actually have outro songs! Not as many but all I know is they have just made a new one after 17years ! And it’s amazing as well but if you ever want to see them I would be there to see It!

The voice actors in one piece are legendary in more ways than one. Also, i love that the voice actors for Ichigo and Naruto were casted as pretty important characters

The money for intros got spent on making content, not hyping up what we already knew was great. Also, the music is actually fitting for the arcs so no-one really skips the intros, because they're great.

"Wake UP" was the 15th anniversary opening celebrating 15 years of One Piece, the opening where they are all dripped out.

One piece is my favorite, i discover it at 8 ans still looking it now that i'm 24, i have grown with it. The reason why i like one piece it's because it's adapted to all age, being kid, i was attracted byt the adventure and the beauty of this marvelous world one piece was giving me. Being a teenage i was attracted to the mystery, the plot, the foreshadowing, evrything that make me want to theorize, and as an adult i'm attracted to how deep the story is, how it's picture really well human emotions, cultures, thematics, and i'm amazed about how complex oda can go. One piece is an onion, you can have a lot of different interpretation, and evrytime you read or reread one piece, it's always a different experience, there's no way you can get evrything oda shows you in one lecture. For someone who want a silly adventure one piece is perfect. For someone who want deep and complex politics and conflict, one piece is perfect. For someone who want thematics and deep reflecion on subjects like " What is a treasure ? ", " How racism create monster made of hate ?" ," What is the place of individuals in a groups ? ", " Is a life without dreams worth living ? ", " What does believe in gods mean ? " one piece is perfect too. One piece doesn't lack anything, and Oda is really a genius like we don't see in 10 years. you should react to " breathtaking world of one piece"

I never skip the openings!! I love leaving them on since that's how I grow attached to them and associate them to the arcs they play alongside of. It's definitely made me nostalgic to do that, and I don't really get how you can feel that way just listening/watching them a few times and then always skipping. I skip the recaps though, since Toei has hellishly long ones.

It's hard to say why I love One Piece, but there is something about it that sticks. I recommend listening to the following OSTs: "Overtaken", "The Very Very Very Strongest", “Wano Kuni Theme” and "Franky Theme". My favorite characters besides the main characters are Bon Clay, Katakuri, Otohime, Yasuie, and Trafalgar D. Water Law (I like to pronounce his full name). Disclaimer: Although the show is fun most of the time, it can suddenly become very serious, and this show also brings up topics such as racism, class inequality, sexism, justice, ... I recommend also watching the video "Breathtaking world of One Piece".

Besides the story and the world building, Will correctly noticed that those are not the only things that grew with each arc ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

In my opinion "hype" intros got a lot more common in recent years, with a clever mixture of great animation, and popular artists/bands singing the intros/outros. I imagine a lot of money is used for that and the likelihood of attracting attention for the show is therfore increased. As far as I can recall, One piece was never known for mindblowing good animation, just in recent years it "upgraded", huge shows that just started in the last 5 years always looked amazing, therefor are more hyped (also compare Bleach from 10 years ago and how the TYBW arc looks like newer art style=more hype?) A long running show such as one piece maybe doesn't really need a "hype" intro because the fanbase is already huge and not the song is the important marketing factor but the story itself. As a child i always watched the intros (because you couldn't skip them in the TV show😅) and I can still sing them word for word, for the new ones I watch them a few times at the beginning of a new season and then always skip them.

Chopper still has the same hat post timeskip, he just has a hat cover for it now.

23.5 is 1000th episode opening special... Remastered of the 1st original opening.. was use only for the specific milestone episode. Once you guys started most OP will get better every time you listen to it and get along with the journey..

personally no matter what i watch, even ive im binging an entire series ill watch the intro and recap for every episode without skipping

Pretty much all of the openings are bangers. I almost never skip them.

The only time I skip intro's is when i am watching with my friends that never seen any of it. Some of the ones you didn't like are actually some of the iconic ones in the fandom. I do feel that once you watch it some of the intro's become better then just watching them, because of the context. Also many of the intro's have nothing to do with whats going on in the arc.

You maybe should've waited a week or two to do this video because the rumor is there will be a new opening starting within the next couple of episodes. My favorite openings for One Piece are opening 15 "We Go," opening 18 "Hard Knock Days," opening 20 "Hope," and opening 24 "Paint."

I admit One Piece's OP is not as great than any other animes out there, but the storywise its a masterpiece and no other anime can surpass that.

also as much as I'd love to see you all react to one piece, and as much as I adore one piece (im that guy) it really is better to read from a pacing standpoint. 1000+ chapters is so much more surmountable than 1000+ episodes and they do waste more time in the anime than in the manga. some suggest one pace which i havent tried

the common sentiment expressed by the one piece fandom is that the anime is a poor adaptation. the anime doesn't have as much time or effort put in as it deserves, nor does it have the sheer quality of artwork that the manga has. yes, it has highlights, but it's a very peaks and valleys experience. most of the intros reflect that. you hit a high point, then you get meh for four.
