Yeah those guys are always easy going and willing to help whenever they can. A wheelman but still pitching in with guys on the ground. Pat seems like a solid hand.
The fact these guys jump into a truck and drive it down the road without checking ANYthing is mind blowing. Glad you spoke up Ryan, because the truth is you would lose everything if someone was hurt or worse, killed because something flow off the truck! Get it together guys!
That was very kind of you to make time in your busy morning to help those guys out and explain their sealer problem and how to ultimately fix it. Most people would just say "oh that's too bad" or something to get them to go away, especially when it's people that you don't know. Keep up the great work and keep being the great role model that you are to so many!
It is kinda smart.. They can tell there boss that Ryan knows how to do the job better if they do not have the skills to do it... Maybe put it in the contract that they have to work with/under Ryan's guys, so they can learn how to do it next time...
Municipalities and politicians always claim that they support small business, but their actions show otherwise. They are too wrapped up in their egos, greed, and personal agendas. You are a great man and business owner and I hope everything starts going better for you with all that Ryan.
I think the problem in this case is Ryan’s engineer. He’s probably better off finding an engineer that has a good relationship with the city and go with them instead. They have to work together not against eachother. City seemed to be on the ball, whereas Ryan’s engineer wants to fight.
@@surfmunkioriginal comment is definitely true but your comment is as well. If the engineers recommendation this early in is to start a lawsuit, then this dude seems very fishy.
@@surfmunki Totally Agree!!!! Suing Menomonee Falls is not the way to begin a healthy relationship with a municipality. Ryan is smart not to choose that route. It will work out!!!!
I definitely agree with the comment about the engineer as well. He’s definitely got an inflated ego and doesn’t seem to like being told he’s wrong. But I did watch all the earlier videos with the city and they seem to be difficult to work with also. You would think they would want to work with a great company like Victory and keep them in the community. It will benefit everyone in the long run because I know Ryan will do good things for the community above and beyond his business interests.
For tino to ask the question about the plastic on the house and then telling Francisco to not get mad its just a question, IS HUGE! Dude knows how to keep the situation calm and also asks a question regardless if his coworker is gonna get fussy about it. I love how he shuts Francisco down so quick lol like bruh dont get mad its just a question!
Way to go Ryan and all the years that I've been watching this is the first time I've seen you get on your guys about securing loads, safety first. Thanks for the great content. Easy money.
Man, I love the videos where Ryan teaches! I’m getting quotes for a slab patio 16 by 23 and they’re all over the place so I told my wife I been watching Victory for 2-3 years now I think I can do it myself 😅
Can you imagine what a privilege it is to work with ryan in person and take on his knowledge. 🇬🇧 he is making men, providing for multiple families it's a beautiful thing to see
I can see his plan of giving a guide to his boys in case something happens to him they can learn from the videos and he has video evidence for customer/employee issues. I think the fact that the customer knows he records everything, it repels most of the bad ones.
America has a corporate problem. Small companies are becoming obsolete. It's too expensive to do anything as a small company. You can't win bids if you wanted to, especially near Chicago
Speaking of tying stuff down. Years back I worked for a fencing company. We were in the sand / stone truck. Someone threw a fence post on top of the stone. We were driving to the job when a car pulled out on us.Brakes slammed and the post blasted through the back window and through the windshield. Normally there would have been another guy sitting in the middle but he called out. He would have had a fence post go right through him. The luckiest call out ever. That was when we were 20 years old. He is still alive at 62 years. Lucky, lucky, lucky!
I worked with a guy who almost got impaled by a pipe like that. That's why I dont care how ridiculous I look using extra chains or straps now. It's worth it.
I love it when you teach. Another great video! I'm glad to see that the building project is going forward, despite the delays from the city. Blessings to you and the Victory crew, and of course Mom!
I very much appreciate the family content. I also very much appreciate Ryan’s ability to appropriately deal with issues. I’m older than Ryan but he still teaches me a thing or two mental wise. Thanks for being you Ryan!
Ryan, i drove dump trucks many years and i never had a set pressure i always adjusted to where the tag would not bounce under breaking or just slide, depending on where the weight of load will determine the pressure of the tag axel.
Trailer tires with “ST” infront of the tire size should always be air up to max load pressure specs located on the tire. Anything lower will heat up the sidewalls with risk of having a blowout under load. Hope this helps.
YES! Ray and everyone else needs a HUGE dose of self responsibility. Your company is also their company, what happens to you haapens to them and they need to take ownership of that!!! THANK YOU FOR GIVING THEM THE REALITY!
In a perfect that would be great but in reality no employee will ever treat this work environment like it’s their own. There’s huge difference mentally when the buck stops with you or not. This is very true, especially in blue collar lines of work.
I love how how he and the employees are at the same level at all times his employees are loyal to him because he does not for a second act like a boss but a friend to them and he trust all of them whole heartily
Thank you for showing the hard work you put into your life to inspire the younger generation that they also can put in hard work to make something for themselves.
If im not wrong, I remember a guy who told them to store the spray paints upside down and they believed him apparently they stored every single spray that way 😂 lol found the video haha, its called Parking lots are EASY MONEY! at minute 34
I also thought probably because they’re upside down. I would turn them over and let sit a few days and try again. Maybe the solids will settle back to the bottom. If the nozzle will come off, I would pull off and clean out before trying again.
You have the right mindset, your civil does not… you should have fired him the second he suggested suing the city. You need an engineer who understands the system.
It's 2024 sometimes it's the only option, the city is trying to shake every penny out. They want to move dirt for no reason get paid. They probably have interests in local companies. It's all a sham. Suing gets them to stop the bs. Research that city employee. Bet his family or friend owns a excavation company or industrial plumbing company. Or he has $ in one.
I have a feeling he's getting swindled, and the city engineer has money in a company or family owns a excavation company or something of that nature. He will tell people stuff is wrong, recommend that these guys come and do the work etcetera. I think suing would be smart. But it could also make everything he does difficult, or easier just depends
Believe it or not, I could hear and feel your stress in the morning. And after the voice-mail call the cloud lifted instantly!! Im praying for you my brotha.
@@SosaGaming27 Pat came and took the sunshine away ray gives him no directions to supply store gives him attitude while Pat just came to help temporarily, I imagine if he was full time ray would have a problem 😂
Very surprising and disappointing turn of events never saw that side of Ray til Pat came around hes even gotten snippy with Ryan a few times after making dumb mistakes and getting called out for it. Nomore Big Ray of Sunshine its Big Cloud of Rayne well see if he can get it together.
When my dad built decks and done concrete work. We used a level every single time just about. He didn’t have a fancy laser level. His was an old school level you had to look through while someone on the other end held the measuring stick. It was a high dollar level for its time and it’s still worth a lot of money. It’s tried and true and always gets things perfect.
Ryan, straight up ask the town engineer who he prefers to work with so an expedited resolution can be achieved. Worth the cost, removes the friction and I’m sure your current engineer will understand. See if your current engineer will email the town’s preferred engineer the CAD files he can work off of.
Pat always seems ready to go and looking to help out with whatever he can. Asking what to do instead of sitting around waiting for someone to tell you what to do is an excellent quality in an employee.
My advice to Pat would be to communicate with Ryan directly on everything, and limit discussions with Ray. Makes me sad I’m feeling some way about Ray.🫤
Your mom said i will be praying for you then you get a call from your engineer whenever I have a big problem I always speak life into it and for some reason it always works out stay blessed 🙏🙏🙏
That the difference between landscapers and excavators. I went from landscaping/ hard scaping for 10 years to excavation and pipe laying and one of the guys gave me the measuring stick it was in tenths and I didn't have a clue the foreman said why you give that to a landscaper lol
I've been using a Dewalt laser like that for 4 years and it's arguably the best tool in the toolbox. Puts out level line and 2 plumb lines so you can square things up etc.
I can't believe the crew doesn't have the forethought to clean up and tidy the site up before leaving. That shouldn't even be something that needs to be asked.
Ryan, amazing boss and the extra $500 for not being late and every morning you still are starting the Trucks. Bravo on the morning talk 🙏 that they listen..🙏🇺🇲💞
Ryan just so you know the grade stick you have is in 10ths so you weren’t going up 6” you were goin up 6 tenths which is 7 3/16”. It happens to everyone hope this helps in the future
when breaking concrete. place your pin/hydrolic hammer at 90 degress. this helps with not breaking as many pins. greese it every 2-4 hours too. just a suggestion.
Ray walking around with a shovel in his hands but I dont see him actually doing anything with it much. He knows how to game the system for sure. Ray needs a notebook and pen to help with his inability to remember even the simplest things. Glad things are starting to look up for Ryan, he was sounding pretty stressed.
Lol, just look the demeanor of the crew at 9:00. They dont care about their job, they dont care about the company they work for. All they care about is shoving their face into their phones
Ray the destroyer haha, I’ve noticed over the whole time hes been with you that he doesn’t like being told hes wrong when he f’s up. Tell him to be teachable!!! Oh and I love that your mom is close to God with her prayers. Can you have her pray for me. Im looking for a good career-so i need doors to open up and opportunities to present themselves. Thanks man
Ryan, you are handling the building project as good as anybody possibly can, especially for your first time. You're not the only one that has gone through this stuff believe me, just don't give up.
I don't comment much on the videos but I wanted to thank you for taking the time to explain the process on establishing heights. I don't do concrete but I like to learn things and I just learned something new so thanks!
Agree, Ryan is the brain of the project and cannot lose sight of the overall project. Okay to do the "technical" points of the project but should leave the manual work to others. This also helps with catching all the unsafe things that could happen on the job. Occasionally jumping in to help the guys is okay. 😀
Long time viewer ryan just wanna say how much I enjoy watching these vids after a long day at work. Something satisfying about watching work be done well! Keep marching forward with your building, it won't always be easy but the lord will guide the way!
I can understand Ryan’s frustration with making sure his trucks are safe for the road. But he’s still missing Mudflap’s on the dump truck, a rock being shot up from those tires could cause the same outcome.
He's told the guys over and over to check and double check but they simply don't do it. When it comes to "time to go home" they just forget everything they've ever been taught. They've lost all kinds of stuff off the truck because it wasn't secure. They're VERY lucky nothing has damaged another vehicle yet.
That's the rule everywhere that I know of if you drive a truck it doesn't matter who loaded it your responsibility to make sure it is tied down and safe before you crank it because if the company gets sued because of your neglect the company will in turn sure you
But big ray was hired as a CDL driver 🤔 so I kinda expected him to be slow on the concrete work/ actual manual labour. But there both gonna cost ryan a lot of money if not his buisness if they carry on not thinking for themselves
Ryan be careful not to mistake inches and tenths especially when you go to doing your building. In the 6 in of pitch you gave the patio he gained a little pitch. The difference is about 1 1/4" but now the water should run even better. Good work!
