Is that the guy who is asking me whether he is about to eat salat or Pizza? .. I thought he was just some stock-photo-dude. I'm not so in this business -.-
Editor Steve sent me to watch. Watched the video then looked at your followers and saw only 2k. That will change 50 fold soon enough. The work that was put into this start to finish is amazing. Hit the nail on the head with this. Will get to a million views just wait.
Oh, it's great to find coach Greg in the comments for this video! I was just going to stop by and say that this video is great no only because of the subject but because of the way it is made 😄
@@networkengineer4405 it blows my mind people buy into these things. Just glancing at anything else other than v shred will tell you what macros are and the science behind it all. You'll learn pretty quickly how everything is all related and what eating clean means. There is so much information out there, yet people still do diets like keto even though there are several studies with information on how bad it is for you in the long term. Actually there is no need for diets, just pay attention to what you're eating.
@@iamvulgar8188 I would ask a dietician or nutritionist for advice on that front. Im saying this as someone that isn't against doctors but doctors aren't trained in disease prevention or nutrition. They're trained in fixing what's wrong at the moment for the part of the body they specialize in. Also they're human they can't know everything. So take advice from someone that specializes in nutrition.
This video was just sent to me. If people only understood the power of marketing and retargeting with ads they would understand why a company like VSHRED is always growing despite ripping people off and giving them bogus advice. Whats the old saying? A sucker is born every minute? Sad, but true. Dont be a sucker guys. Educate yourselves!
Thank you for making for this well-structured, easy-to-comprehend, and unbiased presentation. You present your facts with easily digestible support without resorting to manipulation. All this led to an impressively persuasive conclusion.
I was an idiot...started experiencing unusual weight gain. and I had been a personal trainer/conditioning coach for 15 yrs, and everything by body used to respond to, was now not...so I was desperate. I did pay vshred for the initial cost (I think like 30 bucks) and tried his pre-packaged workouts...It did nothing. I knew better, and now I know how ppl can fall into this scam when feeling desperate. Turns out, I was having major thyroid and adrenal issues. I am now on meds, and going back to the basics (running, sprinting, weight training, hiit and pilates, and I am back on track with some modifications suggested per Dr regarding my thyroid. So glad this is coming out! I LITERALLY paid for my subscription to RU-vid to STOP HAVING TO WATCH HIS TERRIBLE NON-STOP ADS! he's annoying as shit and hopefully this stops them!
it's the excess weight that brings these conditions on ... losing weight through a proper healthy diet and exercise will get rid of all your meds ... I repeat ... ALL YOUR MEDS ... and normalize your blood pressure. Try it. High protein, vegetables, fruit, NO CARBS, NO SUGAR, NO JUNK FOOD ... and of course a little exercise 3 to 4 times a week will speed your recovery up.
So, honestly, is the only way to lose weight and become lean if you enjoy let's say burgers, to only have that 4 times a month, and then eat egg whites and chicken every day while starving yourself?
@@garyanderson4451 You haven't got to starve yourself. You know exactly what is good for you. Eat the foods you love (junk food) rarely and most of the time eat salads/veggies/fruits, chicken/turkey/fish and drink plenty of water. You're not an idiot. You've just been inundated by 'fitness gurus' claiming there's a new way to get lean. There isn't and never has been. Eat natural foods and do plenty of exercise. It's that simple and yes it's that hard. But if you're honest about getting healthy then why would you care how hard it is? If you see someone only eating junk food but look amazing then they're taking PED's. The human body hasn't changed a thing and there is no loophole. Sweat, sweat, sweat and then eat right. Give it a couple years and people ask you what you've done differently. You can tell them I stopped listening to fitness gurus and started listening to my body. Eat a salad with some chicken and do a 5 mile walk. See how good you feel afterwards. That's what you're body is craving. Not 'magic pills' and a burger. Nothing in life worth having is also easy getting. Do the hard work or get fat. Up to you. Good luck and let us all know in a year how it went down.
I’m not joking I got an ad for v-shred in the middle of this video. Not only was it a v-shred ad, it was the one in which he asked if he is going to eat the pizza or salad!
I am so happy that I have accidentally watched a video for exposing him and researched and found this one, because recently they have bombarded me with advertisements and I have sometimes wondered if I should check their program and what they are offering. But now I am glad that I didn’t. Thanks 🙏🏻
I myself enjoy working out, primarily body weight exercises. But why would I want to fall for the scams of weight loss? I'm interested in GAINING weight since I'm almost comparable to the skinny guy in the old Charles Atlas ads from comic books who gets sand kicked in his face by the infamous beach bully.
@@stanleybroniszewsky8538 Go for it..be healthy ..put in the work..eat RIGHT. Take just protein powders/vitamins & minerals. Lots pure water. That's it. You will look great your whole LIFE. Like me 🙏 👍🏻
after spending 2 years getting fit myself, i've learned that 98% of fitness products and services are a scam. consistent and safe workouts, water and clean food is all thats needed. period
I always found it hilarious how their “calorie deficits don’t work, cardio doesn’t work” ads popped up right around the time I had successfully lost significant weight from calorie deficit and exercise.
On top of that it's an example of the motte and bailey fallacy, using the statement that cardio and calorie deficits don't work (which has truth to it in the sense that they don't work for everyone especially if it's an insulin or stress issue), and they use that relatively grounded statement to try to legitimize their insane statement that eating pizza and taking this pill will make you lose weight and get jacked lol
It’s literally impossible to lose fat without a calorie deficit, anyone who has ever lost fat has been in a calorie deficit, any diet that works for fat loss works because it creates a calorie deficit
Lost 20 pounds in a month and a half by cutting out beer drinking and eating one meal a day with light snacks in early-mid morning. As soon as you get over a shitty week, it gets better. Telling me that putting the fork down and stop drinking won’t get me out of trouble since it was what got me in trouble is a load of crap.
yea but u have to be careful to not eat too low calories otherwise the body will start blocking the weight loss process and will consume way less energy and start storing fat. Some people think that the lower calories you eat the more you lose weight, which is wrong and dangerous. at max you have to eat 500 less calories than you burn, no more.
Dude, I fell for it and im not even a gullible guy. because i was a beginner, he put me through sooo much pain. now that i moved away from his product and independently found ways to loose weight my way.. I have lost 25 pounds in almost 3 and a half months.
@@ryanbutler8518 oh... I thought his product actually gave you pain as in kidney injury and needed dialysis or something along those lines... I see there was a lot of frustration there ok ok... Thanks.
yeah right. Is this Josh Brett channel or is this a repost? Because if this is orig content, 2.07k subs (at the time of this posting) makes no sense to me. This is very profressional Netflix-documentary quality stuff.
Same! Always felt so sketchy for some reason. Glad I work in the industry to realize why. Unfortunately there’s too many who don’t and get duped with the “super secret and simple solution” he peddles.
V shred s videos in a nutshell: "Yeah, so basically, almost, you have the, actually, triceps, no, stretching the cable, biceps,uh,...cardio, body type, yes, take the body type quiz NOW
In the ads about body type, he talks for like, 40 minutes like this: "Yes, in this video, we will present you with the key to the best shape you've ever had. This secret is so awesome and never thought about before, and we will tell you in a minute" *40 minutes later* *bulshit* *keeps beating around the bush* *doesnt say it* So that s why we value this very thing so much, and instead of telling you it, I ll pressure you to buy my supplements".
RU-vid only cares about $$$ Not its creators or viewers. They will censor any video for "false information" with the facts and evidence to back it up but let ads run that are 100% false info. They just want the money from ads
Wow! I almost purchased one of their programs, but I didn't have the money (thank goodness!). Then the YT algorithm slowly started suggesting this kind of vids to me. Thanks for taking the time to share the truth. Appreciate it!
@@chopzmasta07 I know barely anything about any of these channels being talked about, but cut the dude some slack, he was being humble and positive towards another and just sharing positive feedback. It's ok to rag on people when they are messing up, but not when they are doing something positive.
Never seen it. But depending on your specific goal, when you do cardio can be almost as important as doing it at all. Still sounds like a terrible ad. "Cardio burns fat, wrong cardio burns less fat and is less efficient" I guess is what the idea was.
Wow the man himself! Thanks Simon, been a fan of yours since Rock reacts, you've got to be one of the nicest/ most uplifting people in the industry, thanks for the support 😁 PS that v shred ad you done was impeccable😂😂
@@brettjosh Very kind, man. Appreciate it! Always good to hear. If you want to chat more about how you put all this together give me a shout. Maybe we could do a chat over Zoom or something for a future video 👍. No worries if not.
Same here, and how I ended here as well, it's sad that marketing tactics are more relevant than actual facts with the mass public, and I am not even in the US.
I’ve never heard of this guy or company. No idea why RU-vid algorithm even put this video into my feed, but it was a very interesting and informative 13 minutes. Very well-researched and well-presented. Glad I watched it, so thanks for putting out such important content.
Athlean-X ain't much better, tbh. Straight up lying that he uses gear. Sorry, but hating V Shred doesn't mean you have to love Athlean-X... The moral of the story might be to not trust anybody who "lies for the purpose of selling you something". Period.
@@demun6065 The difference is that athlean x's workouts and tips are actually useful. V shred's advices are 90% of the time absolute dogshit but athlean x knows what he's talking about.
Proper Psychological programming. They've learnt from the previous experience. They now treat you like a women. Focus on your looks your appearance your outside. Soon you'll be panicking like women that you have gained 3 grams of weight or have 1 grey hair or a wrinkle. The more macho on the outside the more fragile on the inside
I sadly fell for V Shred’s advertisements and bought their clean bulk programme last year as I was starting to gym I thought it good but after the 3 months of sloppy results I realised that I’d been scammed and that it was so bad. Thankfully now I’ve found a proper programme and am making real gains
I once fell for one of his ads and went to his website where I watched him talk for 40 mins. It wasnt even the end of the video, I just got so bored and realised that he had clickbaited me into watching that. I hate him with a passion
To be honest I'v been dragged to a similar ad and watched the whole 40 mins and in the end bought the program for 50$ 🤦♂️ shame even though I searched before buying I didnt find any negative reviews. I hate myself now
Not sure if I happened to let that ad play out, but I swear I don’t recall ever seeing a straight answer to that question in the ad. I probably skipped it halfway 🤦♂️
I have seen these ads for YEARS and I never trusted or believed them. They would always give me an off feeling. I hope the world will see through the lies. Thank you for confirming my suspicions
As a middle aged lady I of course looked at the handsome guys commercial. He was so supportive and understanding. Yeah, I have seen those guys before. Never trust them.
I can understand how someone who's tired of being overweight, has low self-esteem and lack own motivation can totally fall for anything that promises to help. But... honestly, as soon as I saw the first video of Vshred I immediately knew it wasn't real, scientific, or helpful. Remember guys! The best exercise is the Exercise That Gets Done. Don't start off with too high goals, start easy. Love you all.
Fake people with these ads are too easy to spot nowadays "If you want to increase your testosterone then stop drinking your food." He doesn't actually say that but it's close enough
@@thatsroughbuddy1407 The first one I ever saw he was like "stop eating the wrong foods and JUMPSTART YOUR TESTOSTERONE BRO!" and it was just pictures of burgers and steak/potatoes. A vshred ad just popped up so seamlessly that I thought I was still watching the video for the first 5 seconds of the ad. Even better it was for their “test boost max” right after the shot of a snake oil salesman. Flawless!
Got a V shred ad while watching this, lol, he just said “ahhhhh this woman is working out so hard and somehow gains” Edit: Why is this getting so many comments stop
Thanks for the video , i just got vshred ads through facebook and seen this iterating 30min video and from my first perspective "a normal guys without fitness knowledge" i thought to buy it , but the way was so suspicious that i had to do the research about him and literlity after 5 min google search on youtube and reddit i felt like a stupid to believe him. @Boruch Ber People should still eat what they want but LESS and avoid binge eating. Crash diet or forcing yourself in a specific diet would just backfire in the long run, not everyone has the discipline to maintain so anyway. Exercising and not binge eating is the key to losing weight gradually in my opinion, gradual weight loss is the best way rather than crashing yourself and end up going back to the usual habits of eating when they have achieved their weight.
@Boruch Ber Yeah, I read Zuby's Strong Advice fitness book and he preaches this very thing - you need to go into a caloric deficit, you need to strength train and do cardio, but most importantly - you need to go into a caloric deficit. He's also big about not being on your phone when you're in the gym.
His commercials come on ALL the time. He’s an obvious fraud to me because he spouts nonsense, but it’s very professionally produced which gives it a weird sense of legitimacy.
Mike chang had the EXACT same strategy back in the day. Sadly its very effective because most of these guys cash out and leave RU-vid once they've made bank.
@@Jennydear12 Same here, I always kept getting that ad, while listening to music and doing some work on another application. Then this ad pop up with that line. I just replied in voice "oh really?!" and skipped it. Etoro and Vshred ads like a nightmare for me.

I actually remember seeing a bunch of his ads way back when I just started getting into working out. It's kinda unbelievable how accurate the advertisement algorithm has gotten, to the point it can distinguish the beginners from everyone else and drown them in ads.
Not hard to do really when a lot of people Google things like "how to start working out" and "workouts for beginners." Remember that RU-vid has been owned by Google for a while so every Google search you do is recorded and used to determine what you might want to watch when you get on RU-vid. We're literally telling them what we want word for word, there's no real magic in it. The rest is just how confident they are in the fact that we are beginners based on the number of times we do similar searches and how recent our searches were.
The amount of times that I’ve almost fallen into his scheme because of these ads. He had me convinced that I was doing everything wrong, and I just need to listen to him to lose weight
The ad algorithms are very very accurate. I don't remember when and where but at some point some store built an algorithm so they could target ads better. They got into trouble because they started recommending baby related ads to a 16 year old girl so they had to apologize. A few weeks later the girl's dad came in and told them he is sorry and the girl really is pregnant. The algorithm examined what she was buying and came to a conclusion that her shopping pattern is similar to the pattern of pregnant women. Data is pretty fascinating
Great video! I almost got into V-Shred! Since I am an auditor and investigator of fraud and corruption, I just did my research and KNEW it was all BS. This video proves what I found in my research. Good job, Josh! GOOD JOB!!!
There's a few different ads they show but he picked the perfect one for the video didnt he? Thats the most annoying and most common one out there. So tired of seeing that everywhere
