Jones always fought the best guys. The only best guy he still hasn't fought is Stipe Miocic. And that fight was agreed to happen before Aspinall or Pereira were in the radar. It's very simple. And also whoever thinks Aspinall or Pereira will be hard opponents for Jones know nothing about fighting. Even Stipe would beat them at 40 years old, he had a slip against Ngannou but we all saw how easily he dominated him in their first fight. Stipe is not at his best but is a fight to make the legacy of Jones unreachable. Beating a nobody like Aspinall or Pereira won't improve his legacy at all.
My goodness, the delusion is strong with this guy! Get out of the 2010s, Aspinall beats both Jones and Stipe easily today. There’s a reason Jones is avoiding Aspinall even though that ‘nobody’ has fought 5 ranked HW contenders compared to Jones 1, and has defended his championship belt before Jones has. It’s not a legacy reason for why Jones has to fight Aspinall, he needs to fight him so the HW divisions belts are unified. Jones is disrespectfully holding up the division for a legacy fight that no one cares about today. Stipe who is 42 and has immense ring rust isn’t anywhere near the best today, just stop.
