Hey mod creator here, thanks for enjoying my mod. Glad I made it to bring justice to the 2008 season, considering simdream did a FSONE conversion (very badly, cars looked shit, used the mclaren 2007 engine sound and had no physics) and put a price tag of 10 dollars. So i decided to redo it from scratch and bring those FSONE models (the mclaren actually use the codemaster classic cars introduced in F1 2017) in a better light on Assetto, with better AO, new tyres (didn't like the original grey tyre from fsone) and also converted the fsone helmet for authenticity. Big thanks to fisherman for providing the realest V8 engine sound you'll ever hear in any simulator haha. Two point : -Cars are pitting at the start of the race because default setup has just enough fuel to have a qualification lap. I should probably just put 40 liters as the standart -TC is on by default, I haven't really bothered to check where to disable it in the physics file since it can be disabled manually by the user in race settings
@@Cimmerian_Iter I *NEED* a 2007 mod... it's my favourite F1 season of all time and my favourite driver in F1 history won the championship that year. I'm still bitter to this very day that we never got a Formula 1 game in 2007, especially considering how great and popular Formula 1 Championship Edition was.
@guestalb06yt69 Yes, but I didn't played the 2023 season because last time when I played it was back in 2008 plus the mod I had doesn't include the 2009 and later seasons, but includes the 2006, 2007 and 2008 seasons.
Man oh man, I loved these WINGY cars, all the drama they had. They bring me so much memories, even it being a pretty poor year for me (as I'm brazilian). I got so pissed off
Yeah the F1 Game Franchise was in a really weird state during this period. The contract with studio liverpool had expired after the 06 games and codemasters wouldn't come along until 2009. Sad that the 2007 and 2008 seasons never got given their own game. Assetto Corsa coming up with the good as per usual though!
@@joelapilainenI'm not gonna complain about that. The 2006 cars are some of the best (I'm biased as a long time Alonso fan), and the generational leap between F1 06 and Championship Edition was impressive. Though at the same time, it is upsetting that two of the best F1 seasons in recent memory don't have official games.
@@nearlyabsolutelybonkersI believe F1 Championship Edition would have been a perfect game had they included Spa-Francorchamps, which they were surely working on already given the original F1 06 for PS2 came out under 5 months after the 2006 Belgian Grand Prix had been cancelled. That and a 2007 DLC would have made the game even more amazing
This is the FsONE 2008 mod converted from original rFactor. Did participate in league racing with this mod back in the day. Also contains several cars converted with permission from Grand Prix 4. Cars made from some very talented friends in the GP4 community :)
would love to see a "mini" series like your Schumacher rfactor one, but on assetto corsa maybe with this mod, but the problem is, ai is pretty shitty on assetto, idk if theres a mod to fix it
i've fallen in love with sim games around 2008 with F1 Challenge and rFactor. Pure childhood. my fav mod was F1 RFT 2008 for rFactor, loved those years. And real F1 was at peak too. The whole season was mental. I remember I rooted for Ferrari and Massa to win it, and I cried the whole evening after the dramatic Brazil race.. Pure childhood...
13:00 the scene from the putside shot was funny enough but the joke was the last hit. joke had more intelligence than the entire AI grid this video + ferrari stragedy team
I've had that pit "glitch." The reason I put it in quotations is because I am not sure if it is a glitch. It happened to me at Interlagos one time with these very cars, which made a wacky race with Webber winning and Fisichella Second and myself as Rosberg 3rd. It's weird, but can throw some big curveballs at you
It was 2009 when they ditched tcs, i remember the car redsign when Brawn GP came out of nowhere that was the big talking point at the start of the season. Was supposed to increase overtaking.
Bro I don't understand this. You make such good quality videos, amazing commentary your thumbnails are some of the best I've seen and you do them by yourself. Your so underrated man. I want to be like you when I grow up. Keep up the good work.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Loved this video!!, Any chance you could make a video of how you make the camera so realistic on assetto corsa as I have the mods but can’t seem to do it and like the offset camera 👍
They should big the V10 era but they won’t unfortunately I enjoyed the game from 2004 on the ps2 but it’s a shame that they won’t do a game of that for the ps5 and all the current consoles
Do a video where F1 cars race around Le mans allways wanted to see F1 cars at Le mans why don't they race there of course I hardly doubt they would do many laps though
2008 was peak F1. No DRS, no traction control (it was indeed banned in 2008), and insane title won in the last corner by a guy who carried his car into the championship despite not having the best car that year. 2008 was also the year of one of the greatest drive in F1 history, the rain-afflicted 2008 British GP where the guy that won is ahead by more than a minute and lapped almost the entire grid consisted of one of the most competitive lineup in F1. The guy is Lewis Hamilton, you might know him.
MAYBE the spring hitting massa in the head in hungry has lead to his delusional bid to try make himself crowned 08 champion LMFAO not the fact he span 35 times at silverstone or crashed with lewis in fuji or ripping the fuel rig off down the pitlane in Singapore
The Hungary race was in 2009. The race who cost the Massa's win in the drivers championship is held in Brazil where Timo Glock deliberately let Lewis Hamilton to overtake him like he was his teammate.
@@IGG2002 HE WAS ON DRY TIRES ON A WET TRACK HE LAPPED 40 SECONDS SLOWER and i clearly stated that the spring to the head broke his brain it appears your brain dead too gtfo the internet
