Brilliant on many levels. Great to catch a casual conversation with Colin where he's not frenzied building something dangerous, and get some insight into his old projects, while making a really useful tool, to hold really useful tools. Need a bunch for my own modest workshop where 40 years of tool collection sits unorganized and unprotected! EDIT: WAIT WAIT WAIT, the pads are around 10 pounds a drawer?!? How do I not already have these in my workshop? That seems really affordable.
40 years could mean a few tools, great thing is they give you organised layering so larger awkward shaped tools can sit on top and the draws still close. This and trap mat from gear wrench means no more messy tool boxes!
Damn good comment. I agree its nice to see a bit of the man behind the madness of Furze... But if you hadn't mentioned the price I'd not actually have bothered looking, figuring it was too expensive to be worth it - my mishmash of tools I inherited and all the bits I've picked up in the last 15 odd years are already sorted well enough to get by, mostly in recycled cardboard box cutouts. I would however be astonished if the foam wouldn't be neater, look way nicer and allow for even denser tool placement! Don't know when I'll get round to doing it though...
@@TheXJRMAN absolutely. In my case, it's a stable selection of tools and I occasionally upgrade depending on opportunity. The result is a modest tool box of quality tools, but most importantly, the most useful tools. And I'm only filling a small 46" mobile tool chest.
Getting Colin to share some stories from his builds in such a natural chat is brilliant. Shadow foam my coffee table. Perfect place for my coffee, remote, phone, iPad and games controller. Will super organised
@@ShadowFoam I suppose it could be used anywhere? Kitchen drawers for cutlery, even my bottom drawer for my boxes of Yorkshire tea! Oh.. hang on, I think that last ones been done already :/
Shadow Foam and Colin Furze, it’s a match made in heaven. I love the look of Shadow Foam and Colin, I can’t wait to see what projects you’ll be building in time to come 👍🏾
Great idea for a product as a up and coming aircraft engineer it is especially important to make sure all of your tools are accounted for, and with shadow foam it would make the process easier. I will definitely be using it when I start my proper tool chest.
I've just spent my last 5yrs in the Military looking after Aircraft Tooling.... hundreds of tool kits, mostly with shoddy single layer foam with holes cut in to it that kinda resemble a tool of some sort.... anyway, here I am, no longer serving and I find myself ordering some Shadow Foam for my own kits haha. You guys could have saved me so much work over the years! Looks amazing stuff
Although maybe not the conventional route for Shadow Foam as most of it is for equipment or tools. Would love to see a collab with an artist. They always have so many brushes, paints and little stuff scattered chaotically, it would be so pleasing to see a painter organize stuff.
Love the collaboration Colin is such a down to earth dude, I’ve been watching him for years and he’s been make crazy builds out of that little shed. It’s great to see him get a actual shop he’s deserves. And just an fyi his fans are just as passionate lol so enjoy the flood of subs Colin said to subscribe so we did. Cheers!!!!
This foam is awesome stuff. Never even heard of it until I saw the Furze workshop video. It's great to see all the extra content with Colin and yourself. I'm just about to start building a reloading room for precision shooting, so going to get some of this stuff as I have loads of rifle dies, and loads of other smallish tools as well as scopes, trigger systems and moderators, and wasn't sure how I was going to organise all of them, but this will be ideal. I'm in a wheelchair, so having everything easy to reach and visible is crucial for me. Keep up the good work.😁
@Shadow Foam Not yet. But I will definitely check it out now. This stuff would be ideal for gun cases and cabinets. At the moment in my gun cabinet my rifles and shotguns are held in place with pretty flimsy foam, but your foam would be 100% better. I could carve out the butt stock shape and they'd stand up way better.
@Shadow Foam I just watched the airsoft anonymous video now. Pretty awesome. This would definitely work with my .308, .223, 6.5mm creedmoor and my long barrel pistol. Going to order some foam in now. 😁😁
Just wanted to say, thank you to Shadow Foam, the best tool drawer liners ever. Tried many different brands and never had the quality that I so desperately wanted. Also, as a long time subscriber to Collin (2 years 8 Months 2 Days) it's become almost a personal journey with him along the road of progress and development. I've learned a few things watching the master at work. It's really cool to see a collaboration with you guys also. 👍
Since seeing Colin’s new shadow foam addition, I too have invested in the product, it keeps the tools snug in place in my van toolbox! No more loose spanners jumping around etc,Love it!! Colin is a legend too, I just love Colin’s creations and admire his enthusiasm!
I love how organized you can be with this foam, real brilliant work! I’d use it for the same thing as Collin probably, because I have a lot of tools and not a lot of organization.
I already love the new workshop but adding that just frames it all! I love haveing all of my tools on display instead of just chucked in a bag so this is realy cool. Nice job it looks amazing
My younger brother (Brian) introduced me to the Colin Furze RU-vid channel about 6 years ago.Brian was fascinated with Colin's crazy inventions, and fearless attitude to everything. Sadly, Brian is no longer with us (taken at the age of tender age of 57 by Cancer on 28th March 2020). I have continued to watch Colin Furze since being introduced. I have been fascinated by the tunnelling project in particular. To see that Colin now has a barn, with (I don't know) hundreds of thousands of pounds of machines, tools and equipment, is simply stunning. The whole thing is made so professional by Shadow Foam. It's a great way to organise tools, to immediately spot when something is missing, and show that you are professional organisation. I have no interest in winning a prize, but if I do, I would like that prize to be auctioned, with the proceeds donated to a Cancer charity of your choosing.
This is GREAT. Finally some Tool box foam that is actually affordable. I feel like I could actually do this. I'll definitely be buying a few sheets for my tool box. Love the new workshop!!! Now, get back to digging and finish the underground garage!
You guys did an awesome job! I have been watching Colin over a decade and now have my own shop because of him! I hope your business booms! Great video.
I really think this product is amazing! I have only seen the precut ones by tool manufactures, which are neither the perfect size or cheap. This is perfect in comparison. When I get a bigger toolbox I will for sure pick some up, makes everything look incredible!
Now I need a workshop like this. Nice upgrade Colin. I had a feeling I was missing a vital piece of safety equipment, The Colin Furze Safety Tie. Keep up the great work. Shadow foam looks amazing.
Gonna need some of those drawers and foam for my van omg that's look so good, a whole drawer with just batteries perfectly organised. No more sliding round while driving too
I really enjoyed the cutting out of the letters, because it reminded me of art class in high school, where I used an exacto-knife to cut a lion out of black construction paper and then glued different colors of tissue paper like what you'd put in a gift bag to the back to make it look like stained glass. I'm not a handy person myself, but I love all that artsy-fartsy business.
What is there not to love? Honestly the color combination is very slick. Giving everything a nice halo effect and getting attention to anything that is missing. And detail you can pull off is amazing, the logo's really make it unique.
@@ShadowFoam Definetly, but first a decent bench. And some time to organise my basement... However, we started building a workshop at work, due to expansion we are doing more things in house, so you can expect an order when everything is budgetted!
Really enjoyed the banter between the two of you. It's clear you get on really well, would be fantastic to see more like this. Who knows, could be the start of a new alternative top gear type.
@@ShadowFoam Absolutely no idea but I'm sure you could find someone. There is a gap left by those 3 that is still waiting to be filled. Find your 3rd and have lots of fun, banter and crackpot schemes, It would be a winner.
Colin Furze is such an interesting guy. Great to hear he simply wedged his feet in the swing. If I’d done that I’d be changing my pants pretty quickly as I was trebuchet’d miles away…. Great vid👍🏼
Great video. Enjoyed seeing how you planned out the configuration of the tools. Once I get my workshop in order, I plan on ordering some shadow foam. Colin Furze is an awesome personality and I enjoyed your interactions.
Enjoy watching these. Keep thinking about redoing my toolbox that travels in my Landrover 110 with everything I need to do repairs when I am travelling. Having shadowfoam in the box would make life much easier and quieter keeping the spanners and tools still!
My favorite part of the video was probably while you guys were cutting the logos and just chatting. I am actually planning to use Shadow Foam for work and my WorkShop. My job involves tools so I'm planning to get the Milwaukee tool box with draws and Shadow Foam. My WorkShop is just a single garage and I'll be doing a lot more wood work in there. So once I build my drawers I'll be installing Shadow Foam. If I win that tie it'll hang proudly in the WorkShop
Brilliant, what a matchup! I’ve got my Shadow Foam waiting to be put in my airsoft case, I’m just waiting for a new rifle sight to be delivered before cutting it. Keep up the good work.
What situation isn't made better with some super clean organisation. Love it. Once I finish the build of my work shop I'm definitely purchasing some shadowfoam.
Colin's video was my introduction to Shadow Foam but I didn't originally have plans to use any, then I decided to organise the tools I carry around in my Land Rover. I ordered a sheet last week to start with, a mix of this and Halfords modular sets seems like it will be ideal. Great results here.
