Another little British boat painting tip from across the pond (Atlantic Ocean). Use painters and decorators Pro-Tec tape which adheres well, is anti bleed and when you peel it off it doesn't take off the paint underneath and creates a pin sharp line. Just gone 4am I really should stop watching your videos but they're just too darn addictive. I'm never going to finish painting my own boat at this rate lol.
Been enjoying your videos! Shows people that anyone could do this on a budget if they just tried. Amazing how many people are out there that are willing to help if you have questions about how to repair something. Have fun and keep us posted on your progress. It will all turn out to be a success and you both will be happy with the outcome!
I came across one of your videos and had to come check out your channel. I have to say I was hooked and watched all your videos. You guys are young, living life and making memories that you will remember for a lifetime. Lots of luck with the houseboat.
The boat is awesome and colors tell a story, leave it alone. Jess's giggles are adorable. You two are really great together. another "smashed it Video" with a cliffhanger! cool! Now for the catamaran?
I know LaVagabonde gets all the glory, but y'all are like a home cooked biscuit and sausage gravy, comfort to the soul ya know? They are exotica, but you my new faves. I can't wait to follow you for years!
Should motor to where the cat is and show the marina owner the awesome work you have done to the houseboat and will do to the cat. Those new lights look like a good addition, what voltage are you running the houseboat on?, wondering if you should live on the houseboat when you work on the cat?.
I am glad to see that you have come along so well with your house boat. I think a fresh coat of paint for the hull would look nice too. So what are your plans for the catamaran? After that grueling trip to get it on the hard I hope you have some great plans for it too. Good luck.
Yes, it will float ;) at least it better. Would have just painted across that lower edge with the gray you mixed up, or had on hand, as it wouldn't be that bad. While that painter tape blue isn't bad(and it really IS that color!) think it would have looked nice with a lighter shade of blue, as that always looks nice on boats.
You could keep going until you got fifty shades of grey, see what I've done there? Good work, what's the plan - sell it, live on it, weekend retreat? Thanks for another refreshing & fun video...
It's not really a question of "will it float", of course it will ... but for how long? Harbor Freight has a sale on submersible pumps right now. Seriously though, if you need help in the Hampton area hit me up.
I did not see any VDGIF boat registration numbers, is that causing any problems for yall with the law? I really enjoyed your previous videos, keep up the good work.
I actually like that color for a boat stripe on that particular boat. Looks good. Hopefully you sell it for the right amount. I personally think your catamaran is a bit small and don't like that it's made with plywood but it's a hell of a good start. My recordation is to build one out of cedar strips from scratch or purchase another one that's made with some type of composite so it doesn't rot. Check out a group on Facebook called "Cedar Strip Canoe and Kayak Building". This will teach you how to build one. You can take these same principles and build a large catamaran. Better yet, build the forms or ribs and build a composite catamaran as well as your catamaran at the same time. Once done with both, sell the smaller one and keep the larger one.
Those LCD light panels you can make those yourself using the screen parts from old broken LCD TVs popped into for example an ash box moulding / picture frame using LED strip lights around the inside edge of the frame to create the same effect. If you look on RU-vid, oh to hell with it, here is the link to make it easy for you (and save yourself some money): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8JrqH2oOTK4.html
I would like to donate a few bucks for the entertainment. How do I make a one time donation. Patron maybe later. My resources are strained at present, but looking for a brighter future.
After editing the video it came out to like 23 minutes so I cut it in half. At least I’ll have the next one ready in the next day or two so won’t leave ya waiting long :)
@@carolinabeacher1558 Do you think that the cat, without mast, rigging, dagger boards, rudders…etc.,… will take the open seas? The minute the Coast Guard see it will stop by a: Manifestly Unsafe Voyage . “ USCG PDF. Prohibition to Sail - Manifestly Unsafe Voyage Under the authority of 46 United States Code 4302 and 4308, the Commandant, U. S. Coast Guard has authorized the District Commander to prohibit the voyage of any vessel if he determines that said craft is unsuitable for the intended trip.”
