Last year was lies of P, then ff7 rebirth, stellar blade, and now wukong. Just packed with great games!

Just wanted to point out that the game does have a block/parry system. One of few ways we’ve seen players parry enemy attacks is through a light-heavy combo in Smash Stance, which has a mechanic similar to GP (guard point) in Monster Hunter. “Stone Solid” is another block/parry ability that’s been revealed. In previous demos, it was also shown that certain bosses (like the Macaque Chief) have the ability to parry player attacks as well.

One of the things I don't understand about video games is, since last gen there are fewer and fewer monsters, whether new God of War or Monster Hunter World, there's significantly less variety in the enemies compared to their predecessors, and the situation has worsened in this gen. I'm glad that Wukong chose the difficult path of making many diverse enemies to meet players' needs, wish them a lot of success.

Thank god its not. The action is way too slow in souls like. And the best action you do there is rollout. Sekiro, monster hunter etc are the ones entertaining. And black myth may surpass them all.

Can't wait to get this game when it comes out really close to my bro's birthday which is crazy, he loves the Monkey King. And I hope the game continues with a sequel, usually I stick with open worlds so I hope if they make a sequel that it is closer to open world as possible.

Fromsoft fans will never admit it but souls games have some of the jankiest animations. Look at this on the other hand, the combat flows like water with how good the animations are.

i dont care to what you want to compare this uniqe masterpiece, but black myth wukong is the first AAA game made with unreal engine 5 and it started developement right after ue5 was released like 5 years ago D; its gonna be mindblowing

The combat is 100% souls-like and since the game is mainly about combat, it's a souls like... First: being a souls like game isn't a bad thing, even if you typically hate them because, second thing: being a souls like game doesn't mean that it can't have elements that are different, like skill trees, gear rarities, and linear levels (although it sounds like the demo had linear levels whereas the main game may not, and, until Elden Ring, all souls games had relatively linear levels that just looped in on themselves). Even the modern God of War games quite obviously borrowed a lot of combat and level design elements from the souls games. Anybody trying to say this game isn't a souls like doesn't have eyes and/or doesn't know what the word like means...

Calling it a "modern God of War game" seems like a better sales pitch than another souls-like title, don't you think?

The graphics have been downgraded. It being on PC always gimps graphics. It being on Xbox definitely gimped graphics. This game should of been a PS5/PS5 pro exclusive. Bloodborne looks better than this
