Lenny is a really nice guy. One time I was out for drinks in a random Sydney suburb, and I had posted earlier in the Daihatsu group desperately searching for brake pads for my L200 mira. nek minut Lenny's driving in the middle of the night to deliver them to me, free of charge - while im plastered from a night on the piss. Absolutely a generous and kind hearted man.

I've been watching the show since the early days, and I love how you use the same songs for certain situations. The second I heard that song when the car didn't start, I knew that meant there were problems. Also when the car did start, I knew what song it was going to be. Keep up the great work boys

No they weren't, I've been watching these guys since Marty's very first liberty build( also the reason why I bought a 2002 GT legacy like 10 years back) ANYWAYS, They use interim music for specific scenes and that are never released for full songs. Which in my opinion, some of the songs I'd keep on repeat or splice them together because they are SOOO GOOD.

I recently had to go to site for 3 and a half weeks. Before leaving, I got hold of seasons 3, 4 and 5 of MCM, loaded the dvds onto my phone and watched them on the planes and with my evening meals, after 13hr days- just keeping that smile on my face. I also got to watch Moog's story, on MCM2- smiles, tears, the works. But I suppose what's profound is there's been this transition, where I've been watching the old stuff- you two on a drive way, saying "Rick loves it"- and now my scenery has changed, I'm back home with my wife, watching the new stuff, but you are both still going strong on the Daihatsus, talking about the Blue Turd, but now you have a hoist. I was just watching the story of the Blue Turd! Kinda crazy timing. Love the continuity and how the show is staying true to its roots. You guys rock.

My first car was a Daihatsu Charade nugget. I loved that thing. It was like a Tardis in the way I could pack stuff into it. It went mudding in alpine fields in the depths of winter too. Engine finally went on it. Wish I could have given it a Viking funeral.

Love watching you guys, and giving me the motivation and confidence to work on things more advanced then a simple service! Last weekend I removed the throttle and EGR on my diesel outlander and cleaned it all out as it was running rough, then put it back together replacing a leaking intercooler pipe. Still runs like crap but at least the bost leak is fixed! Next weekend im checking the turbo and DPF!

Honestly, Nothing is perfect, Realistically you're bound to mess something up when doing this, the utter skill it takes to only mss up one thing like that engine mount. its pretty whatever, very realistic, no crazy sema shit having everything perfect. I love the honesty, +1000% watching enjoyment

I did basically this in my s13 with a ka24de. still has egr and smog shit on (except the cat) and a megasquirt ecu with accompanying sensors. Having a blast tuning it myself and the KA woke up!

This is something i've always wanted to do, swap a powerful, 3 or 4 cyl engine into a crummy hatchback, i'm Pakistani, until 2015, Suzuki Pakistan kept producing second gen Suzuki Altos, under the name Suzuki Mehran, the car was very popular, because it was cheap to buy, maintain, and run, my family has owned 5 in total, it's how i learned to drive stick, it's like the quintessential first car, my buddy was rich, but his first car was a Suzuki Mehran, he absolutely loved it, was his daily, used to see him drop and pick up his siblings from the nearby middle school. I've always wanted to do an engine swap, and drivetrain conversion, it's an FF, i wanna make it into an FR, and put in a Toyota 4cyl in one, a buddy of mine did something similar, he stuffed a 1ZZFE from a Celica into a Corolla hatch. And if not a Mehran, than a Daihatsu Charade, my Dad had a stock Daihatsu Charade Turbo, that he was super proud of, when he was younger, but sold it when my Mom was pregnant with me

I have an L701 as my daily and a Copen that is absolutely rotten with rust. Looks forward to getting it on the road, as qith the twin factory X-brace, was able to throw it into roundabouts at 60kph with no hassle. Even on 165 tyres, she drives like she's on rails 🗣‼️👍

in Malaysia has this Daihatsu model. a car factory in Malaysia working together with Daihatsu Japan. Perodua brand Kelisa 4 door. 1000cc twin cam. same chassis.they modified and changed the 1300cc Toyota turbo engine. the price in Malaysia is RM 12000.00. the car is comfortable to drive. 😌

The problem with wiring is not the wires and soldering itself. The problem is that manufactures are now routing EVERYTHING through controller modules and on modern cars there are just a billion sensors. It's ridiculous. Kind of like when we went from non-abs to abs with brakes. First it was a couple lines from the master but now there are a bunch of lines that all route through an abs distribution block and it's a mess.

Haltech is a complete ripoff, the don't use anything but of the shelf cheap Chinese components. You can literally buy the same components & build one yourself for a few hundred dollars. And you wont have to buy Haltech rip off wiring adapters.

Firstly: you should never grease the head bolts unless stated by the manufacturer, as you can end up over torquing them, leading to failure and secondly: if you are going to grease the head bolts, don’t use copper slip! As you’ll end up with copper in the oil, which can form an abrasive and lead to premature failure of any plain bearings in the engine. This is from someone that has worked at sea, rebuilding marine 2 stroke and 4 stroke diesels for the past 15 years.
