I’m following this build, I use those dual valve exhaust set ups and they regularly stick on loud, the butterfly inside will wedge onto the exhaust and the motor won’t be powerful enough to release it To fix it you need to add a stop pin, I just use a screw Take it to bits and look inside you’ll see there’s a stop for the quieter side of the butterfly position but not for the loud open side Just thought I’d share that with you as it will stick eventually I guarantee it
I think that is kind of the point they are trying to make to some extent. 3200 pounds for the quick and dirty job is what most people are going to do on a car like this
@@2010-b8w I bought a 2 year old impreza sti back in the day... paid 10 cash ... if I took finance would have cost 17 or 19 grand ish ... I put 3 grand in the engine.. and had 430bhp.. couldn't even buy a new car for 13 now ... and you could its some 3 cylinder rattle box. Glad I owned every car I had outright... May have had some bangers but they were my bangers
I built my mk6 gti to 450whp and it cost me about $7500. Transmission parts were definitely the biggest cost in it. I spent about 2k on the transmission, 2.5k for big turbo and intercooler, 1k for turbo back exhaust, 1k on intake and accessport, and another 800 for the brakes. The last couple hundred was for a tune. On the dyno 450whp (on e-30) give or take a few horses. Also it has boost by gear and hits a peak of 23psi after you shift to 3rd.
I have had an A3 3.2 for nearly 10 years. On an 05 plate and under 63k.. Immaculate and looked after service wise.Millttek system fitted including manifolds, sports cats, drilled and Grooved discs, braided lines, waterless coolant (Evans), induction kit,re-map for gearbox, engine, lowered.Had the DSG gearbox oil changed 3 times, engine oil changed every 5k.This car goes well and with the next step could be a monster... Unfortunately due to my wife's condition is on autotrader. I wanted a supercharger but hey ho...
Im loving this build its just mental. I built one of them exhaust valves 15 years ago on my E30 out of a throttle body and a electic window motor. 😂😂 .
Man I love these shitbox series lmao, this stuff is relatable as hell for what we do down here in the Netherlands lmao, build a shitbox, trash it, repeat
I got no words Jamie hahaha. What in the world are u trying to do LMMFAO! That is the mother of all ASBOW cars. Southend is getting shut down when that sleeper hits the sea front 😂😂😂. Love it bro
Of the five car builds I've done, the biggest thing is always the condition of the car I started with. It's not as exciting to think about renewing brakes or motor mounts but those things can cost you the whole build. Imagine if that fire happened on a highway pull. All your parts go up in smoke.
Jamie, awesome video as per usual. Where did you get the framed Porsche poster that’s in your background please? I’d love to get one for my 3 year old son’s room.
another good video youre not taking yourself seriously with this build its all in good humour..when i owned the mk5 golf r32 i was quoted over £12k for the 400bhp turbo kit i was told it would take just over 2 working weeks i never asked for a price breakdown as i just wanted a rough price
Jamie heard my mk2 an thought to himself ill have some of that 😂 When the s**tbox is done i want first crack at it on the battles 😁 Love the channel and the builds j 👊🏼
Get a saab 93 2.8 V6. 250bhp stock. 330bhp with a remap. 400bhp with a turbo, injectors and intercooler. Total parts cost is about a grand. Can get to 500 crank hp before needing to open the engine
Looks like that needs another bracket or more mounts still a lot of movement there bet money it blows up under actual load again. (Hope not for your pocket book).
