Actually, Hunt the Front was not what brought me to your channel. RU-vid recommended me your channel and I'm glad they did ❗I prefer your channel style over theirs. You remind me of a true blue dirt track racer like what I grew up around here. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences Colin. Can't wait for the season to begin here and there after all the snow is gone❗👍🙂

Well like you I came across this channel at least a year before the deal happened with HTF. Although I believe it was because of the highinthedirt RU-vid channel with the 187 car is how I happened upon this channel to be honest.

Cars looking good looking forward to the new rap. And getting that new car done sometimes it's a pain in the butt working on a car by yourself when you need that extra going to try to run full time with this street stock at I got I caught the last couple at the end of the year last year but it's always when I need that extra hand I don't have it just waiting on my motor to get done and start putting things back together but you have fun buddy but be safe take care

It’s definitely a possibility. One track in michigan I haven’t raced at. Watched a few races just never raced there.

Yup I’m fortunate to have a crew guy like Todd that loves to work on the stuff. But it’s tough flying solo for sure! Did it for a lot of years until Todd joined the team

Well I definitely was here long before your deal with HTF, since I came across your RU-vid due to Gavin Hunyady with the highinthedirt 187 modified. Which I found Gavin's channel via Bob Harris' RTI channel. I came across Hunt the Front by chance when I was looking for one of my own video's of Al Hejna and Terry Phillips racing for the lead at Bolivar, Missouri. Which at that time the HTF crew only had two or three hundred subscribers. Because it was literally the third video Jonathan posted that I came across, yet when I started my videos RU-vid had not began monetizing videos, since it was October 8th of 2006. Which to be honest was not or still would not be the business model or plan I would follow to earn money from doing videos and posting on RU-vid. Due to the fact real life cannot be filtered, edited, or scripted. Especially since everything I have seen that has gone viral, or is trending is non of the aforementioned elements that cannot be done to real life. (Which I know due to the fact allegedly my tornado video on Twitter I lived stream for five minutes somehow went viral somehow allegedly.)

I appreciate ya watching man. I wasnt saying everyone that subscribes was because of them but my stuff did grow exponentially after that. There is only a few that make money off this youtube stuff in racing. My deal is I dont need the money but im not going to turn it down if at some point they want to give me some lol I mostly do it for my sponsors to get them exposure and to show my fans what I do on track and in the shop. A lot of people don’t know what all goes into running a race team. Also being a stay at home dad that drives a race car for his job I had some extra time to give it a try. I’m working on getting more and different content its just hard when i do all the video stuff myself. I’m hoping to get some help this year at the track with the video side. If not ill just keep doin what im doing.

@@CollinThirlbyRacing Well it is definitely a good place to display your partners in your race team. It is also a good spot to sell products and services. I also agree it gives the average racecar fan a sense of what it takes to get cars ready for the season, as welll as week to week. It is no doubt time consuming, tedious, and for sure is a second job, which is why I refer to it even today as my career. Especially since at one time I was working with five different teams to get their cars ready to go for the season and week to week on top of being at the different tracks. Luckily for me they all did not race at the same time or at the same track much, aside from the fact that two only ran special event races, yet two teams had two or more cars. Two teams built their own engines, and two built their own cars from jig to race ready. In fact John Potter the driver in my RU-vid profile picture and I had to repair his car at the chassis builders shop on the jig his first modified came off of, so that was no only a lot of work, it was a lot of driving because the chassis builders shop was fifty miles away which is where I went to directly after work for an entire week. Although pound for pound he still is one of the best modified drivers in the country, because I have seen him come through a full 25 car field from the back to the front to win races in much lesser equipment, and the same through a twenty car field with a severely bent right rear wheel, bent frame, trailing arm, and still run fourth in a car that nine out of ten drivers would have pulled off the track. Not to mention he has a large fan base, that only show up at a track if Potter is racing, like literally he had people who showed up at Creek County Speedway in Oklahoma for the battle at the creek, just to watch him race his b mod in an A mod race. Which is the one Tanner Mullins won, which paid out something like 8500.00 cash money to Tanner. Potter was the highest finishing b mod in 11th after being spun twice and coming up from the back I believe got 950.00 cash money. Needless to say, if you were impressed with GatorBate you should consider putting Potter in your car, he can give you feedback from his 22 years of experience in a modified.

I'm curious, why do some cars run an open sail panel and some solid?
@CollinThirlbyRacing
@CollinThirlbyRacing Год назад
Most mods dont have the open sail panels one because in imca and other sanctioning bodies its illegal but most late models have them for air to get to their big spoilers. Mods dont have big spoilers so it defeats the purpose so we use the sail panels to deflect air
