Thanks for the video. We have started a small (240 tree) pecan orchard in the Texas Panhandle and I've been looking at buying the Bag-a Nut harvester for a UTV. Our trees are too young to produce now but we should start seeing some nuts this coming season or maybe next. This video gives me some confidence that the product works somewhat efficient. It seems like the biggest drawback will be sticks and leaves obstructing the teeth that release the nut in the basket. It appears that good orchard floor preparation would be key to making the harvester as efficient as possible. I look forward to watching your videos.
Wow, your farm sounds fantastic! I’m glad you found worth in our video, yes good floor prep really helps a lot to cut down on the amount of debris. The shaker throws quite a bit along with the pecans when it comes harvest time. We cleared much of our leaves by blowing, racking or using the riding lawn mower with the mulching attachment prior to the shaker coming out so the only thing left to clear would be sticks and twigs afterwards. I hope you have a great first season coming up! It’s a lot of fun, and thanks for watching 😁
