That’s actually a Northern Ireland plate on the Clio gents, Irish plates are the same sort of style as European ones, they have a letter in the middle for the county, so xx- d - xxxx for example, D for Co. Dublin. Northern Ireland plate is 3 letters 4 numbers, the 3rd letter is always Z

Doesn’t always end in Z mate. The first letter is the year, and I believe the second and third letter is the area of NI registered with the numbers being the number registered that year.

@@VWbaii turns out it’s either I or Z at the end, but the I’s are mostly Fermanagh and Tyrone which would explain why I never see them

It was my car featured in this episode and I agree with your point. BUT everyone is entitled to their opinion ;) Interestingly 488 prices are nearly that of my a 458 despite being 5 years newer, not that I bought it for the value. AND everything is relative, i stepped up to my 458 from a Boxster S :)

Hilariously i've got a fiat 124 spider like the one at 18:22 and it's been in the family for 30 years. Genuinely its been the most reliable car we've ever owned and its never broken down unlike our 911.

Not sure who else is the same? I for one am an audio listener. I love to have a podcast on whilst working in my studio or in the car. I subscribe and like the videos on YT to get this podcast the recognition it needs from the algorithm. One thing that's become more prominent that Im glad isn't the case with BTG is podcasts being releases on YT as well as Spotify and apple that rely on visuals etc. I love how well BTG works on audio services yet having said that, an episode like this is so fun to have and watch on YT where it almost feels more chatshow than podcast but I still love it to bits. Keep it up Sam and Tony!! Legends!

Tony had me at “Cadillac? Are you joking?” Honestly, the ATS is an excellent car. I don’t hear great things about the infotainment, but it’s an excellent size and delivers everything you’d want from that vehicle.

That r32 GTR visually was stock other than the wheels. They are not “affordable project cars” ranging from $65k AUD. Also Sam I’d love for you to do a video on “what car is this or what engine is this” because it seems like you just like newish cars and never get your hands dirty and don’t appreciate the modified scene. I think the definition of a petrol head is someone that appreciates all cars and knows their way around a spanner Love the podcast 😂

Wish you would leave the cars on screen for longer while you're talking. Picture in picture or something. You would show them briefly and then I had to go back once you start analyzing the spec. Great video though, Tony cracks me up.

Good to see an RS included 👏👏👏. The numbers here the UK were: Heritage Orange: 50 Red Edition: 300 Edition (Blue): 500 Then we have the other colours without a black roof, carbon bits and a quaife diff. Only the Heritage came with every extra you could get I believe.

The Polo GTI's aren't available to buy anymore so they are a decent investment if depreciation isn't your thing. Also insurance is fairly cheap thanks to the front safety sensor. Be cool to see Sam review one... could always use mine 👀

Another great episode. Love when rate your rides is on too. One thing you haven’t covered are company (electric) cars. I’m deciding between, a toy, or a Jag iPace or taycan through work as zero tax! So nearly half price with no deposit!

If you don't want the best in class and prefer the 7/10, then get the SVR! The new F-Type doesn't look right from the front IMO, SVR has so much more character about it and reckon you'd keep it longer. Also, where can we submit entries for a future episode?

Most Japanese performance cars are basic and are supposed to be (meant to be) modified. Your basically paying for your preference of platform and the tuning potential that comes with it (as most of them were restricted to 280hp). Tony doesn't seem to like many UK, US or Japanese cars though, which is a bit odd for a supposed petrol head.

Tony I have a P Tesla Model 3 . yes its my only car. it does 270 miles real range, faster than my old BMW 5 M sport and a lot cheaper to run. It's fun to drive and gets constant updates. Yes would love a Ferrari F12 or GT4 Lusso to go with it but don't have the £. PS i have learnt more about cars in these podcasts then watching 12 years of Top Gear 👏👏👏👏👏
