The fact this is even on channel/ was streamed after you guys played the open beta is a miracle, thank you for always showing off fighting games woolie.
For the love of god, just call it UNI2. We finally have a number in the title after 11 years, there is no need to call it UNISC or UNISYS and risk confusing more people than the franchise already has. We have a fucking number, use it. I prefer the PC version because it only took a week to fix compared to UNICLR which was still kind of borked on PC and MBTL that took a month to get its online fixed. Diagonals are making me want to scream though. The in-universe explanation as to why the streets are completely empty at night is that everyone is fighting in basically a pocket dimension where regular humans rarely cross over into. The new big bad is Kuon and he's Linne's older brother. He got a very bad deal for immortality and now he's enacting this big plan which also sets up a win win situation for him. If his plan succeeds, he gets to cross over to the other dimension full of monsters like Merkava to chase after some individual who we don't know about. If his plan fails, he gets to finally die. He's also old war-buddies with Wald.
At least the nomenclature is still somewhat better than your average light novel. Which is exactly what UNI more or less is: an early 2000’s urban fantasy light novel condensed in fighting game form.
This game is so sick, French Bread put everything they had into it, and it was sent out to die. PS version plays great but no one wants to buy a PS5. PC port was a disaster, even if it is now fixed. And worst of all, it was released on the same week as Tekken 8. Why, oh why did ArcSys say to publish it on the same week as Tekken 8?
The more pressing question is, why did Arcsys trust cyclone zero to port this game when Arcsys themselves were the ones porting every previous version?
There's a theory going around that ASW is purposely sabotaging the 3rd party fighters they publish. Like how every single PC port they've been in charge of has turned out to be terrible: "Chaos Code", "Melty Blood: Current Code", -redacted-, and now this. I can't say I really believe it myself but it is kind of funny that there are a bunch of reoccurring coincidences like that.
@@DeepestDankest The even more pressing question is, why is no one making memes about it now to people who don't know about what happened with the PC Port, like the BachiBros, and why hasn't anyone other than me ever considered shipping Kaguya x Enkidu?
The game may have a bunch of newbie-friendly features, but it'll never lose that crazed degen feel where characters are always interrupting their own overlapping voicelines that makes every combo sound like you're abusing a glitch. It's a CACOPHANY
Enough time has passed, Under Night In Birth II has now been patched. Can we now all admit that Under Night In Birth II is the new greatest fighting game in the world for all eternity, that anyone who disagrees with me is wrong, and we need to spread the word worldwide like it's the newest wave of Kagura Bachi fever? Matter of fact, spread some more Kagura Bachi love to Japan too! So strap in, get your VPNs, and gogogo, boys, tell the whole world this: Lobotomy Kaisen is dead, & LOBOTOMY IN-BIRTH HAS BEEN BORN!!!!!!!
Infinitely disappointed that we aren't calling it UNICEL. Not a comment on the community at all (because they're rad), but it would be really, REALLY funny.
