It's our second park-up in France and another Camping Car Park, this time in Lion-sur-Mer. we explore the local area and talk about how we go about staying in camping car parks.
A refillable LPG tank is the way to go if you’re going to tour round Europe. Plus if like me you hate handing gas bottle back to the supplier like Calor with some gas still in it, it stops all that because with a refillable system you just top it up. Unfortunately it is becoming slightly more difficult here in the UK, it’s being phased out at some garages. My LPG is a great app for finding LPG refill stations. But it does get rid of the problem of the different bottle designs and regulator types in different countries, you just need a set of fill adaptors for the different countries. Camping gas is as you said quite easy to find in most big supermarkets Super U, Carrefour, Auchan etc, but that has its drawbacks (depending on how you class a drawback) most of these big supermarkets normally have a very nice cake shop attached which is ALWAYS tempting. It can be a strange combination, go in for a gas bottle, come out with a very nice pastry or sticky cake, and there’s normally a very good selection! Safe travels, have a great trip.
Hi Charlie, we are definitely getting a refillable LPG underslung tank fitted which will give us a wee bit more space in the van and more gas availablity. Thanks for the tip of carrying a set of fill adapters with us. As to the cakes we don't mind still stopping off and getting one just for the vlog sake you know.😋😀

I used to have a sink similar to yours. Great invention, easy to use and then stored out of the way. I'm glad to see you are making Daphne homely and think it genius of you to buy a van with a built in headrest for Keira😅. Sometimes when I run out of time, can't be bothered, I use a large collapsible bucket to put all the dirty dishes in and do them at the next stop and bathrooms are so very useful for storing all this sort of stuff, including sodden rainwear!!. Thanks Jane, yes bathroom is very useful for storing stuff, especially wet coats, thankfully we have not experienced that yet on this and, but I'm sure it will come👍💕🐾
Fabulous beach for Keira, our dogs would love it there. Do you know if they have restrictions in summer? We went to Wales and thankfully it was autumn and dogs were just allowed back on the the beaches but if we’d gone in summer when dogs were banned our holiday would have been spoilt. Any foggy related information is always appreciated 😁. Enjoying following your tour. Thanks for sharing. BTW I love the van.
There are restrictions where dogs are not allowed, think it's just July and August but can vary in different areas, good enough reason for us to go off season, wouldn't want to deny Keira the absolute joy of running and playing in the sand 👍🐾💕

Hi to you all, nice to see you out and loving the van 🙂 When we looked at the the Carrera range at Kimberley Caravans we thought all the sinks were broke, its a funny design, we never picked up on it when we ordered our 144 in 2022 ! Saw that, the sinks are odd for sure, but I have definitely warmed to it and like it now, it gives us a big sink but folds up nicely. Give Tyler a cuddle from us👍🐾😃💕
Hello You Three - greetings from Poland A lovely video. What an interesting place Lion sur Mare is. Not a location that was directly part of the Normandy Beach Landings. As you saw, the beach side buildings are very large - so they were in 1944 and thought too difficult to assault directly from the beach. Given the size of the locality, the Allies do not plan to land directly in front of the commune of Lion-sur-Mer but they want to take a foot first about 500 meters further east to La Brèche d’Hermanville (where the density of dwellings is smaller) then in a second time seize the commune of Lion by a turning movement. British Navy’s No.41 Royal Marine Commando (4th Special Service Brigade) are responsible for carrying out this maneuver on D-Day. They received several missions: to seize Wn 21 strongpoint, baptized “position Trout” by the Allies, to seize the castle of the Haut-Lion supposed to contain a German Staff, to make the connection with the No.48 Royal Marine Commando in the area of Petit-Enfer, near Luc-sur-Mer, in order to connect the two areas of beaches Sword and Juno, and finally to seize the radar station of Douvres-la-Délivrande.

Mont St Michel is amazing. Last time we camped there was with our caravan on a site now taken over by Huttopia. The motorhome aire was close by and massive. It may be different now as that was in 2018😅 We were there in November and even than it was busy. Enjoy your travels. New van looks great.

Good to see you three enjoying the new van. When all is said and done when you had Wee Broon you did more overnights on sites than wild camps so that's not much of a problem really since the big plus is you can be sat with a sticky bun and a cuppa much easier. Nobody, including Keira needs to get "Oot and About " to make room for kitchen activities 😊 No offence Mike but I think AI Keira is a cut above AI Mike🤣

Really wish we did them here but we all know what would happen don’t we…( everyone singing THAT Cher song) … The sink is a right faff… I wish more small camper van did the swing/ split bathrooms…there so clever. Hi Mike Jed here we are are loving your adventures and are so excited to all being well pick up our 144 in March just wanted to ask as we are new to this Trackers what option do you have on these as as some insurers insist on us having one fitted and they range in significant prices thanks again for all your help and advise
Hi Jed, we are with Caravan Guard and looked at their list of approved tracker devices and went for one that suited our budget and also convenience of having it fitted as they offered a home fitting service. As well as satisfying your insurer it will also help to give you a bit more peace of mind.

Thanks Claire, Keira had her rabies jab at our vets then we talk about a lot about the health certificate process in our last video. No doubt there will be bits and pieces to add to the van👍💕🐾
