In today's video we decided to try and bring a little Disney home with us on a day where we can't go to the parks. What is the best way to have a Disney At Home day? Making home made Dole Whip and home made Churros of course! The Dole Whip turned out to be a lot easier to make than we thought it would be! It is basically just a few ingredients! We used the recipe over at chocolatecover... which turned out to be fairly spot on! For the churros we found an official Disney recipe on the Disney Parks Blog here: disneyparks.di... This recipe sounds hard, but actually turned out to be fairly easy to do! We finished up the Disney day by watching the movie UP which Jenn had not seen yet. She cried the whole movie! UP is my #1 fav!! When yall said yall were finally watching it, it made me so happy! Then when Jenn started crying i cried too!! Im so glad you loved it! Close to the ending of UP when Rusell is getting his "helping the elderly badge" and Carl goes and instead gives him the "Ellie badge" my heart could not handle it anymore! Lol. 🎈

The dough is a very classic French pastry dough called pate a choux. It's actually the dough to make eclairs if you baked it instead of frying.

Here in Brazil churro is a very common snack, but is thicker and filled with Dulce de leche or chocolate. Nice cooking time!

I am so glad that UP is so universally enjoyed in the same way. It is a movie about LOVE and heartfelt caring. Definitely one of my top two Pixar films. Yay! for Pixar. Great Disney day!

"Big hero six" has some sad parts in in too but then it has some HILARIOUS parts, I think that would be a good one. And I cried alot the first time I watched "Up" too. The part when the balloons come out of the house had me all emotional

I don’t know if anyone has said this already but my favorite way to coat things in cinnamon and sugar is to put the mixture in a brown paper bag and then you put the churros (or doughnuts,etc) in and close it up and shake it! Great video as usual guys!

I cried through the whole movie the first time we watched it. Unknowingly, we watched it very shortly after experiencing something very similar to the characters. And UGH I cried so much! I can watch it now and not sob through the whole movie, but those first few minutes at the beginning get me every time.

Hey guys, former Disneyland churro guy here. I'm a big fan of your channel. That's so cool that you made your own churros! I just wanted to give you a head's up, the mix of cinnamon and sugar is no where near 50/50. We used to put a huge bag of sugar and maybe like a cup of cinnamon into a large container and then mix it up. I'd say it's 90/10. Also, if you want really authentic Disney churros, we buy them frozen from Tio Peppe's, and you bake them at 400 degrees for 4 minutes. I'd love to see you try something else! I'm not as familiar with the food at Disney World, but maybe gumbo in a bread bowl?

I know this video is older but I’m just now seeing it. I totally cried just hearing you two talk about Up! What the heck is wrong with me?! 😂 I have to mentally prepare myself for that doozy of a movie. And when Tim said you’ll only cry during the first 10 minutes...unh uh! Excellent TV movie for all ages. Peter Coyote, Art Carney, and Huckleberry Fox are wonderful in this movie. A young boy hears about his great grandfather trying to fly across the English Channel from stories by his grandfather. Then he finds out his grandfather has a time machine he has been to sick to use. Max takes it for a spin and meets his great grandfather in person. He tries to help him make the flight that could put him in history books. Unfortunately I rarely see this on TV and it is not on VHS or DVD. I hope it gets enough recognition to be transferred to DVD soon. If you enjoy movies like "Back to the Future", "Explorers" and "Flight of the Navigator" you will certainly like this movie.

We’re from the Buffalo/Niagara Falls region and watch you guys daily for our Disney fix. Last year made the giant mickey shaped rice crispy treats. Counting down the days (49) till our next trip. Dole whip soft serve mix (the one Disney uses) is on amazon for 25 bucks and all u need is 3 cups of water, 1 cup of mix and an ice cream machine, and it’s a REAL AUTHENTIC DOLE WHIP. But I loved this video anyway, love your passion to find ways to enjoy the magic on a day away from the parks!

Omg! I'm trying that dole whip recipe, when I went to Disney last year lines were to long and could not try them 😭 next time for the churros freeze the batter for a little bit after piping it in the plate, you can use the bottom of a cupcake pan to make churro bowls also! You can use a cooking scissor or any scissor to cut the batter coming from the bag to get a cleaner cut. Ive never tried making them, always see the tasty recipes but I haven't tried, definitely doing these two things this weekend!

Love this so much! We live in Alaska so we only get a few Disney vacations a year so we have to get very good at DIY Disney treats to keep us satisfied until we can get back to the parks!

Yeah. Last year we did Disneyland Paris, Disneyland, and a Disney Cruise. This year we will do a Disney Cruise, Disneyland and Disney World. We've been doing a lot of Disney lately, but certainly not as much as a lot of people who get to live closer to the parks :)

Gosh, I'm even crying when you talk about it. I cry at almost every Disney movie....even if I've seen them for like 200 times and I KNOW what's about to happen. I still cry. You know that scene in Tangled, where the king and queen are getting ready to let the lanterns fly on Rapunzel's birthday.....The king starts crying and the queen touches his face to comfort him. Breakingpoint, right there! And offcourse during 'I see the light' ...every. f*ing. time! Anyway, I loved this idea of a DIY Disney day! Love your hair with the 2 buns, Jenn!!! Those churros looked so good! Personally, I would have added some pineapple juice to the dole whip. I think that could maybe make it a bit sweeter without adding more sugar and it would make it more drinkable, instead of like firm icecream. Thanks for the recipes though, I've added them to my recipe book :)

Most Disney movies are emotional though, like you said but thats probably why its so succesful because they have a way of making you connect and relate the story back to your own personal life even if the characters are rabbits, elephants or dogs!

Love that you're still doing the jigsaw, i'm about to start one that is Peter Pan and is 90% blue colours, can't wait! Just finished a 1500 piece one that was easier then expected as it was Disney portraits, so now I need more of a challenge :P Love the dole whip and churros! Might attempt the dole myself but not very good when it comes to frying things so i'll leave that one alone :)
