In today's video we decided to try and bring a little Disney home with us on a day where we can't go to the parks. What is the best way to have a Disney At Home day? Making home made Ohana Bread Pudding of course! This started with making the Ohana Pineapple Coconut Bread and then onto the bread pudding part. It was very involved and it took literally 7 hours but it was SO GOOD. We don't recommend you try this one at home, only because it was so time consuming, but if you do, let us know what you thought! We really did like it a lot, it came out pretty deliciously. We hope you enjoyed this Disney cooking journey! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

“Folding” is a baking term that is a method of forming a smooth ball. A way to preheat to 110 is to turn on your oven light. The “ball” they were talking about was the temperature of the sugar, get a candy thermometer and it will say the “ball” stages, example is soft ball. Just a couple tips for future baking adventures, which btw I am totally looking forward to, and will watch previous ones.

Anni Fetzko correct, there is 3 different kinds; fresh yeast (needs proofed before baking), active dry yeast (needs time to activate in warm water), and instant dry (which activates during the baking process).

Great fun. I am in no way a baker, but I did notice a few things in the recipe that might make it easier. First, drain the pineapple in a strainer to remove the pineapple juice. I think that is where you are getting the extra liquid. The second suggestion is to use a candy thermometer when making the sauce. There is actually a temperature on the thermometer that says Hard Ball. It is 250 to 266 degrees F. I have to admit I would not want to do all those dishes, but it looked so delicious.

Your intuition was spot-on throughout, and I enjoyed feeling anxiety for you and then relief as you worked it out together. I don't think I could have been happier with the results if I'd baked it myself. :) Next time (if there is a next time) bake the bread days ahead of time, then you can leave it on the counter to dry-out. It needs to be dry to soak-up the egg/milk liquid.

Love this video. So glad that you made the Ohana bread as the regular bread would not have been the same as all. As a cook and baker, I always right down my recipe as it makes it less stressful for some reason. It was funny, as hubby and I could see you have never made bread pudding before. You did a great job for the first time and hubby and I will surely be making this recipe. We love your cooking vlogs and make them all!

I would make this, but I would not make it alone. I would need someone (like Tim) who is dedicated, patient and a motivated person to help me. Looks really good though! Nice job guys!!

I'm going to make this for my abuela! She will flip her lid in happiness! Thank you for showing us the process. Also, I agree-that sauce is thiccc.

Also, I have tips just from past baking experiences. 1) You can use a (cheap) bread machine to mix the bread. Just dump everything in and let it mix and proof the dough. Then remove the dough, portion it out, and bake. 2) If you want to split it up into two days, you can freeze the frozen dough. You can likely also freeze either whole loaves or already cut cubes since you don't need the structural integrity of fresh bread for bread pudding. You can do this with the other three loaves you have left. :)
