With all the crazy that's happening in the world, our little travel saga is just a tiny grain of sand on a never-ending beach. But many of you have asked about how the coronavirus has affected us, and our sailing plans. Well, click that play button and see everything we know...for now.
We're taking our self-isolation and quarantine extremely seriously. We can't afford to get sick and we want to get back to our boat as soon as Tonga opens their borders up.

Your number one fan from Venezuela here, still working my way through all the videos I missed because I didn't have the internet for more than a year. How little we know what this virus was going to be, but even then you seamed very informed. From every angle the best option is to make it back to the boat. As the US turns out was not a good place to be, and you will be safer in the boat [my guess], finally you will provide much needed relief to all your watchers as we are stranded at home, today 3/26/2021 everything is shot down where I am due to a surge in the virus and I am grateful for your videos. Thank you.

I am so, so glad that Singa is ecstaticly exploring that amazing ranch instead of experiencing the stress he would be going through now, and adding to the stress you guys would be under. You made a really, really tough decision, but it was the right one.

Positive, or whistling past the graveyard? For those unfamiliar with this expression: whistle-past-the-graveyard. To attempt to stay cheerful in a dire situation; to proceed with a task, ignoring an upcoming hazard, hoping for a good outcome. But I'm pretty sure the young lady from Texas is familiar with this old expression.

You've got it easy . I and a lot of others are stuck, borders closed, in lockdown for minimum of 3 weeks and around 2 months before flights might start.

It’s probably actually better to be on land, there are not many ports or marinas allowing boats to dock, even to get provisions. Stay safe

Local boats pretty much everywhere have the same restrictions as landlubbers. Dinghy in for groceries, medicine, dinghy back out. I haven't heard of any place restricting this, have you? Plenty of marinas are closing, but these cruisers don't stay in marinas so that isn't a concern.

What a time to be alive. So far we are OK. We recently traveled from Idaho to California for some family time and got out back to Idaho and are now sitting at home waiting this out. We did a lot of driving, 2700 miles in all, and hope we avoided this human malware. So far so good. Keep safe and healthy.

Thinking of you two! Those flights looked brutal. Fingers crossed that you can get back to Curiosity soon and, if not, can perhaps start getting out and about in Fiji in the meantime. I thought I needed a boat, lol, last thing I need. The biggest issue that I watched the GWW's encounter while they were living the RV life (before they took to sailing), was getting a better wi fi signal.

Ontario is bigger then a lot of countries, down here in southern Ontario, Niagara, its 10°C or 50°F . Getting warmer. We too have a stay at home order. 🇨🇦.

Wow, I can’t imagine the wave of consequences you have run into. Houston just started its first day of stay at home lockdown. Grocery stores, pharmacies are open and you can walk in a park if you maintain social distancing. Business other than those needed for day to day goods are required to close. Supplies at the stores are ridiculously short and hard to find. For us seniors it is hard to get there before everything is gone. Some stores are opening very early for 1-2 hours to allow seniors in....yea! Be safe. Fred Houston, Texas

This quarantine situation is going to last for a very long time, many months, according to public health experts. Anyone who thinks this is only a matter of a few weeks has no understanding of the gravity of this situation.
