How did we get here?
We moved into our tiny home on wheels in fall of 2019 and started traveling full time as digital nomads. We absolutely fell in love with traveling full time but given the travel limitations currently in place, for the foreseeable future it’s going to feature less travel and more of the building that will go into converting our current RV to the off-grid tiny house!

We made the decision to take a break this week. After several weeks of VERY physical work, we could feel us burning out and the reality is, we're not on anyone's schedule except our own. Learning how to not put so much expectations and pressure on ourselves has been a life-long endeavor but we're slowing learning how to "have time for a bow". hope you enjoy the video and we'll see you on our Patreon live video this Wednesday, much love xo

Hi Tyler and Todd, thanks for being such an inspiration. We are a couple in our sixties who can't help but see our younger selves in you. Our journey together started on five acres, with four amazing dogs, two goats and an occasional visit from a bear. We admire your free spirits, and applaud you for living a genuine and authentic life. It goes so very fast. On his sixty-fifth birthday my husband turn to me and said, wow, I didn't think I would get here so quickly. So keep following your bliss, so when you get here you can say what an amazing journey, what an amazing life. We lived, we loved and we planted a garden.

I just love your travels and hard work you are doing to your acres. In 1973 my late husband and I built a lake home in northern MN. I appreciate the hard work involved. We had a big camper, too, to travel and even made a trip across Canada. We took a ferry from Nova Scotia. Your country is very beautiful. Our 2 children were very young, 1 and 2. I love your 'boys'. We had country homes for 40 yrs. I tried condo living after my husband died of cancer, already 12 yrs. ago. Five yrs. ago I bought a small place in the Sonoran desert. I LOVE the privacy, peace, the many stars in our dark skies, clear air and all the wildlife. I am very happy to discover 2 guys who are so in love and accept yourselves for who you are meant to be. As a nurse I witnessed how men/women were struggling to accept their sexuality. My pray has been that they all would find love and happiness like yours. Cherish each other. D

Straw bales in thick heavy duty contractor bags works great as RV/tiny home skirting for winter. FYI. It can be a temporary solution for those stationary for winter in colder climates. This is for everyone not necessarily for you guys. Love you ❤️

The public swimming pools are open again in Germany, so I had a fantastic day in the sun and the water with so much fun too. And there are less people allowed at the same time, so it is much quieter and less stressful. We already feared that all the public swimming pools and lakes in Germany would have to remain closed due to the virus the whole summer long, but this has now been done differently. My favorite pool is situated in vineyards on the top of a hill where you have a great overlook of the city, but your landscapes are much greater. Don‘t work too hard and enjoy the summertime. As a young lad living in greenwood nova scotia my friend and i rode our bikes to yhe bay of fundy camped on the high cliffs next to the shore, i openned the tent late at night, it was the first time in my life i saw total black.when we woke up in the morning boulders had crashed down the side,it was so loud like a teain had just passed by. Nova scotia has alot of treasures to visit. Enjoy your down time guys.

Oh that Bay of Fundy, Beautiful! I was traveling from California to the Celtic Colours Music Festival in Cape Breton Island the Day after Hurricane Matthew hit Fundy. What a ride! I think the Captain took pity on us and invited us up to the Captains wheelhouse for the ride. Amazing water...

I love the Maritimes, I went on holidays at the end of summer in 2011 to New Brunswick and PEI, loved it there. We were supposed to take a day trip to Nova Scotia, but after a lot of driving from the past several days, we were too tired to go anywhere. Would love to go back again and visit NS the next time. It was a good holiday, mom got to visit the Green Gables house in PEI before she passed away in 2012.

A little tip for your garden: don't water the leaves. Especially as your plants get larger, water under the foliage to avoid the leaves getting wet and developing mildew and other plant diseases. Water droplets left on leaves in the sun will cause burned leaves as well. That aside, your plants look so healthy!

Hey Todd & Tyler - thansk again for a lobvely video that is so inspiring and enoyable. To be able to just be together on teh rive, enjoying yourself, having a nice vegan salad, feeling close and happy - who could possibly ask for more!!! Tyler you said 'there is always time'. But I think recent events with coorona have taught me (at least) that this idea can just suddenly change and you loose all time within days. Hundreds of thousands of people have died who all mioght have thought that same thing. If you allow me, I'd adjust that sentence to 'live in the moment, cuz you never know how much time you actually have left'. I mean that in a positive way. And is actually what I also pick up from your videos: that you guys really are in the moment and enjoying yourself so much, following your hearts and dreams, and i think THAT is what life is about. And I thank you for reminding me of that!!! Thank you bopth, so much, fopr beimng you.

A well deserved break indeed!! Very nice scenic footage as well. I don't get much off-highway driving when going to North Kingston, but there is a spot topping a hill.... can't remember the place.... Gaspereau Valley maybe??...anyway, my favorite spot is when you top that hill.... the water, the huge wall of rock, and town below is gorgeous!! Don't blink, you'll miss it. And the Fundy coast is always beautiful. It's kind of "funny" that you mentioned Fundy in your video this week.... if the weather is good, I'm planning on taking myself to Hopewell Cape to see the rocks (also noted for the highest tides) next weekend for my birthday. When the borders open up, you should visit. :)

Hi to Charlie and Eddie You guys are the bestest friends, and I hope you gave a big doggy Sloppy kiss to your Dads on (US) Father’s Day. YEH! To your parents for taking a break from all the work. Being excited and invigorated with a new major project is good-TO A POINT-the downside can be “BURNOUT’ and loss of the love ingredient to everything you do together. You have a whole life to work on your perfections, don’t rush it. I’m 73 yr old and lost my partner of 45 years a while back. The joke in out home was, ‘we spent 40 years accumulating things, and now spend our energy to ‘get rid of stuff’.
