Hi guys - loved your video, your bedroom looks awesome! Just wanted to say..... my precious Dad did the same de-popcorning in their house several years ago, without any type of protection. He showed up a few years ago with mesothelioma due to his exposure to the asbestos in the popcorn..... sadly, he died from it 2 years ago. PLEASE be careful and consult the right people as to how to get that stuff off your ceilings..... maybe leave it to a professional who has professional protection..... asbestos is deadly. Sadly, I know😥

Homes built after 1977 should not have asbestos as the paint was banned so hopefully theirs built after then. Also, I feel like they would’ve never risked exposing themselves or their children so likely made sure this wasn’t an issue prior. Since he does this type of work, he should be very familiar with asbestos. So sorry about your Dad. My Dad has the same disease from years of working with asbestos shingles and such. Thankfully, he is doing well thus far.

@@vernamorales2064 the Bates are not related to Jim. Bob Duggar! They met at a conference some years ago and became friends. The Bates are very encouraging of all their children to get good educations.

Didn't mean to be a downer or scare you but I saw pix of my precious Dad doing exactly what John was doing and I felt compelled to warn you...... please don't let my comment detract from the beautiful job you did..... just please consult a professional if you choose to do anymore de-popcorning.
