Da Enzo Al 29 in Trastevere is a must, tiny place off the beaten track with some of the best Roman pasta you will eat They are walk ins only so head there for one of the opening times They open at 12 for lunch and 7 in the evening but I would reccomended arriving half an hour early and joining the queue (it gets big but moves quickly) Also a place called Two Sizes do the best tiramisu it’s a must try

Enjoy the trip Matt . Food looked great. If you get the chance head to Sorrento it’s not too far from Rome and the foods outstanding. We stayed in Sorrento few years back and had a day trip booked to Rome and we were told not to expect the same quality of food there, a lot of it would be more geared for the tourists and overpriced. We did go back to Rome for a few days and also found some great places to eat where the locals went.

My son and I stayed down the cobblestone street over your shoulder in an apartment that is hundreds of years old. Roscioli not only has an iconic bakery but around the corner a salumeria where they butcher and produce great cured meats and serve it in a restaurant at the same site with great, traditional Roman food. That location is on the core of Ancient Rome. You are a few minute walk from Campo di Fiori, which has a mind-blowing food market and a bakery that rivals Roscioli. We stayed three nights there and loved it. Make sure to try some of the dozen-plus ways Roman cafes make iced coffee.

Keep it coming brother ❤️😎 There’s a little shop down a side alley (that’s all I gave 😬🤣) that only sells deep fried calzone pizza thing traditionally with cheese and pork fat one of the most amazing mouthfuls of food I’ve ever had ❤️😎👊

in Roman times pizza wouldn't have had tomatoes on it as tomatoes from the new world. But the pizza as a dish is basically the baked dough and then you'd add condiments or toppings like olive oil or fish paste or whatever romans had to hand. Be careful of restaurants hidden prices guys and have a great time.
